CLG Na Fianna (Irish: Cumann Lúthchleas Gael Na Fianna) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Glasnevin, in the Northside of Dublin, Ireland. It caters for the sporting and social needs of many connected residential areas adjacent to its location through the promotion of Gaelic games — Gaelic football, hurling, camogie, handball and rounders—and the traditional Irish pursuits of music and dance. Home Farm Road (also referred to as Homefarm Road) is a regional road situated in upper Drumcondra, Dublin, Ireland. It is notable for being the place of origin of Home Farm F.C. It was previously named St. Mary's Road up to the tenth house. The road is named after the medieval home farm of the Priory of the Most Holy Trinity, which was located in Glasnevin.

Griffith Park (Irish: Páirc Uí Ghríofa) is a 7.5-hectare (19-acre) park located on the banks of the River Tolka in Dublin city between Glasnevin and Drumcondra. The park is a short distance downstream of Ireland's National Botanic Gardens, and upriver of Our Lady's Park, and has been noted by Discover Ireland as "one of the premier north city parks". The park closes at different times of the year, dependent on the hours of dusk.

Drumcondra Public Library is an art deco style public library in Drumcondra, Dublin designed by Robert Sorley Lawrie working in the city architect's office under Horace O'Rourke.This building was one of four similar libraries built by Dublin Corporation between 1935 and 1940 in the Dublin suburbs of Phibsborough, Ringsend, Drumcondra and Inchicore.

The Centre for the Talented Youth (Ireland) (CTY Ireland) is a youth programme for students between the ages of six and seventeen of high academic ability in Ireland, run by Dr. Colm O'Reilly.There are sibling projects around the world, most notably the CTY programme at Johns Hopkins University, the original model for CTY Ireland. CTY students are eligible to participate in CTY's summer sessions for older students. CTY was founded in 1992, with its first summer programme running in 1993, and is based at Dublin City University in Glasnevin, Dublin 9. The centre offers various courses for gifted students as well as conducting research and promoting the needs of the talented in Ireland. Currently, it caters for 5,000 students a year

Ballygall (Irish: Baile na nGall, meaning 'townland (baile) of the Foreigners') is a small suburban area located between Glasnevin and Finglas, on the northside of the city of Dublin, Ireland. It is also a townland divided between the civil parish of Finglas and that of Glasnevin. It was settled by Vikings in the 11th century, and later by the Cambro-Normans. The area is largely residential, with St Kevins College, some shops, and a church and schools.

Patrick Ganly (1809—1899) was an Irish geologist, surveyor, cartographer and valuator during Griffith's Survey. He was the first person to discover and describe the usage of cross-bedding in geological stratification to show the 'way up' of rock layers, a discovery overlooked until its independent rediscovery over 70 years later.
