Búrfell (Icelandic pronunciation: ​[ˈpurˌfɛtl̥]) and the connected lava channel Búrfellsgjá [ˈpurˌfɛlsˌcauː] are famous landmarks of the Reykjanes peninsula, Southwest Iceland. They are part of the Krýsuvík volcanic system.

Oddur Golf Club is a golf club and course in Garðabær, Iceland. Oddur Golf Club was established in 1990 as a nine-hole course and was designed by Hannes Thorsteinsson. It was expanded to an 18-hole course in 1997.The club consists of two courses: Urrioðavöllur, the 18-hole course, and Ljúflinger, the 9-hole par 3 course.

Smáralind (Icelandic pronunciation: ​[ˈsmauːraˌlɪnt]) is a shopping mall located in the Capital Region of Iceland. It is one of the biggest shopping malls in Iceland, with over ninety shops, restaurants and services. Designed by BDP and built by ÍSTAK, it was opened on 10 October 2001 at 10:10 GMT. Smáralind competes with other shopping centers of the Capital Region: Kringlan mall and Reykjavík's old city centre.

Norðurturninn (Icelandic pronunciation: ​[ˈnɔrðʏrˌtʰʏ(r)tnɪn], "the north tower"), is an office and retail building in Iceland completed in 2016. Norðurturninn is located in downtown Kópavogur, next to Smáratorg Tower and is connected to the shopping mall, Smáralind. Norðurturninn has 15 floors with a height of 62 metres (205 ft) at its completion. However, original proposals were for the building to have a height of 110 metres with 28 floors. Construction of the tower began in 2007 but was on hold due to the 2008–2011 Icelandic financial crisis, until the resumption of construction on the 1 April 2015.It was completed in 2016 and as of 2022, houses Íslandsbanki (headquarters), Controlant and other companies. The ground floor houses an Íslandsbanki bank branch as well as other smaller retail units.

Smáratorg 3 (Icelandic pronunciation: ​[ˈsmauːraˌtʰɔrk]) is an office and retail building in Iceland. It is the tallest building in Iceland, surpassing Hallgrímskirkja in height, and is the fifth tallest architectural structure in the country after the Eiðar longwave transmitter, the masts of Naval Radio Transmitter Facility Grindavik and longwave radio mast Hellissandur. The building is located in Smárahverfi, Kópavogur, where the shopping mall Smáralind is also located. The building has 20 floors and is 77.6 metres (255 ft) tall. The main constructor for the building was Jáverk. The tower was designed by Arkís architects. The global accounting and consulting firm Deloitte is located in the tower. The building opened on 11 February 2008.

Breiðholt (Icelandic pronunciation: ​[ˈpreiðˌhɔl̥t]) is a southeastern district of Reykjavík, Iceland. It includes three neighbourhoods: Neðra-Breiðholt [ˈnɛðra-ˌpreiðˌhɔl̥t] (Bakkar [ˈpahkar̥], Mjódd [ˈmjoutː] and Stekkir [ˈstɛhcɪr̥]), Efra-Breiðholt [ˈɛvra-ˌpreiðˌhɔl̥t] (Hólar [ˈhouːlar̥], Berg [ˈpɛrk] and Fell [ˈfɛtl̥]) and Seljahverfi [ˈsɛljaˌkʰvɛrvɪ] (Sel [ˈsɛːl̥]). It is one of the largest districts in Reykjavík, with a population of around 20,000. The neighborhood has the highest amount of foreign born residents of any in Reykjavik.

Elliðavatn (Icelandic pronunciation: ​[ˈɛtlɪːðaˌvahtn̥], "Elliði's lake") is a lake in Iceland. It is situated in the area of Reykjavík. Not far from it, there is the well known natural park Heiðmörk with its hiking and biking trails, small forests and lava formations. The eastern shores of Elliðavatn are part of Heiðmörk nature reserve, protected by the state. Coming on the hringvegur (Route 1) over the Hellisheiði in the direction of the capital city, travelers pass by the lake.

Fjölbrautaskólinn í Breiðholti is an Icelandic gymnasium. Founded in 1975, the school currently has a student population of around 2800 people divided between about 1600 students in morning classes, about 500 students in evening classes, and about 700 students in summer school. The school is known for offering multiple educational "paths" which has led to some calling it a rounded collection of schools in the same building. All in all there are 27 paths one can take, including fine arts, cosmetology, nursing, media studies and athletics. The school follows a unit system. While it is possible to graduate specializing in a certain path in one or two years, 140 units are needed to obtain a Matriculation Examination which takes on average about four years. Obtaining a Matriculation Examination is possible from all paths.

Kópavogsvöllur (Icelandic pronunciation: ​[ˈkʰouːpaˌvɔksˌvœtlʏr̥]) is a multi-use stadium in Kópavogur, Iceland. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Breiðablik. It is also used for track and field events. The stadium holds 3,009 spectators and has 1,709 seats in two stands.The stadium was opened on 7 June 1975, when home team Breiðablik hosted Víkingur Ólafsvík in the old 2nd division. On 9 May 2008, a new stand was opened by Þorgerður Katrín Gunnarsdóttir, Iceland's Minister of Education, Science and Culture. The new stand has 1,360 seats and is roofed. The stand also houses the changing rooms for the stadium, as well as lounges.In 2019, the grass was replaced with artificial turf.

Heiðmörk (Icelandic pronunciation: ​[ˈheiðˌmœr̥k]) was proclaimed a municipal conservation area of Reykjavík in 1950. It is located southeast of Elliðavatn, Iceland, and is about 6 miles (9.7 km) from the city of Reykjavík. Its name is derived from its namesake in Norway, Hedmark (Icelandic: Heiðmörk; both derive from the Old Norse Heiðmǫrk [ˈhɛiðˌmɔrk]), an area with deep forests.The total area of the conservation area is 3,200 hectares (7,900 acres). It is a popular recreational area in Iceland. Heiðmörk is where Reykjavík's water reservoirs and drinking water wells are located. Rauðhólar are a notable natural formation of Heiðmörk, a cluster of red coloured pseudocraters.
