Wicomico Youth and Civic Center is a multi-purpose arena located in Salisbury, Maryland. The main arena contains 30,000 square feet (2,800 m2) of space while the secondary arena contains 10,000 square feet (930 m2). The main arena can seat 2,500 for banquets, 3,000 for theater concerts and stage shows, 5,000-6,000 for concerts and similar events. It features a 42-foot (13 m)-high ceiling. The arena opened in 1980 and replaced an auditorium which had opened in 1950 and had burned down in 1977. Attached to the arena are ten meeting rooms totaling 9,348 square feet (868 m2) of space.Until 2016, the Civic Center had a real covenant against serving alcohol.

Wicomico High School (commonly abbreviated "Wi Hi") is a high school located in Salisbury, Wicomico County, Maryland, United States. It is one of four public high schools in Wicomico County along with James M. Bennett High School, Mardela Middle and High School and Parkside High School. Wicomico High School currently enrolls grades 9 through 12. Its mascot is the Indian and its colors are blue and gold.

Beaverdam Creek is a tributary of the Wicomico River on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Parker Pond and Schumaker Pond were created by damming Beaverdam Creek.Beaverdam Creek runs through the historic Salisbury City Park.

The Salisbury Zoological Park, commonly referred to as the Salisbury Zoo, is a 12-acre (4.9 ha) zoo located on the Delmarva Peninsula in the Salisbury, Maryland city park. The Salisbury Zoo chooses to mainly house species native to North, South America, and Australia. Its collection of over 100 animals includes wallabies, flamingos, North American river otters, an ocelot, a red wolf, two-toed sloths, alpacas, turtles, macaws, rescued birds of prey and owls, and four Andean spectacled bears. Admission at the Salisbury Zoo is free.

The Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art is located at 909 South Schumaker Drive, Salisbury, Maryland, United States. This museum has the most comprehensive collection of wildfowl carvings in the world, ranging from art sculptures to working decoys used by hunters. Parkside High School is a four-year public high school in Salisbury, Wicomico County, Maryland, United States. It is one of four public high schools in Wicomico County along with James Bennett High School, Wicomico High School, and Mardela Middle and High School.

Schumaker Pond is a 35-acre pond created by damming Beaverdam Creek, in Wicomico County, Maryland. The pond is owned by the City of Salisbury and is on the eastern end of the Salisbury City Park. The maximum water depth is 5 feet near the dam, in the old creek channel. In the 1950s-60s Schumaker Pond was popular for swimming, but swimming has since been banned due to the large quantities of E-Coli bacteria in the water. Today, the pond is often used for fishing.

Union Station is a historic railway station located at Salisbury, Wicomico County, Maryland, United States. It was constructed in 1913–14, near the junction where the New York, Philadelphia & Norfolk Railroad intersected with the Baltimore, Chesapeake and Atlantic Railroad (later, the Baltimore & Eastern Railroad) in the center of Salisbury. Both railroads became part of the Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR). It has a 1+1⁄2-story, Flemish bond brick main block covered by a medium-pitched hip roof sheathed in slate, with single-story wings. From the 1920s to the 1950s, the PRR ran several passenger trains a day, including the Del-Mar-Va Express, through the station, north–south from Philadelphia to Cape Charles, Virginia.The PRR terminated passenger service in 1958. It was converted from a passenger station into a freight facility, and since 1986 the station used for other commercial purposes. The building has characteristics of the Colonial Revival style and was the most elaborate passenger facility to survive on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.Union Station was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

James M. Bennett High School is a high school located in Salisbury, Wicomico County, Maryland, United States. It is part of the Wicomico County Public School system. It is one of four public high schools in Wicomico County along with Mardela Middle and High School, Parkside High School, and Wicomico High School. It was established in 1962.The school is named after James M. Bennett, a former Superintendent of Wicomico County Schools.

The Perry-Cooper House is a historic home located at Salisbury, Wicomico County, Maryland, United States. It is a three-story frame dwelling topped with a French mansard roof that was built about 1880. It features a central tower, with a bowed entrance on the first floor and a nine-foot-high Palladian window on the second. It was the residence of one of Salisbury's well-known civic leaders, Thomas Perry, whose family occupied the house from 1897 until 1950.The Perry-Cooper House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

Todd with six beds in an old home, the institution once known as Peninsula General Hospital has grown to contain approximately 300 beds. It serves nearly 500,000 patients every year in a multitude of specialties. Close to 2,000 babies are born at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional every year. There are approximately 3,300 employees, placing it among Salisbury's largest employers.Outside of its main hospital location, it includes a network of specialty and family physicians, a network of labs and pharmacies, plus two health complexes in Millsboro, Delaware and Ocean Pines, Maryland.Steven Leonard has been President/CEO since January 2018.In January 2020, Peninsula Health System, parent of the then named Peninsula Regional Medical Center, merged with Nanticoke Health Services of Seaford, Delaware. On September 1, 2020, the health system was officially renamed TidalHealth Services. The renaming coincided with a rebranding of all affiliated institutions with the TidalHealth branding.
