The Church of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (Spanish: Iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Sagrado Corazón), popularly known as Iglesia Punta Carretas (due to its location in the neighbourhood of Punta Carretas) is a Roman Catholic parish church in Montevideo, Uruguay.The parish was established 30 October 1919. The temple was built between 1917 and 1927 and originally held by the Friars Minor Capuchin. Since 1983 it is run by the secular clergy. The temple is dedicated to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart. A small side chapel for daily masses is devoted to St. Marcellin Champagnat.

Punta Carretas is a barrio (neighbourhood or district) of Montevideo, Uruguay.

Artigas Boulevard is an avenue in Montevideo named after Uruguayan hero José Artigas. The avenue was commissioned by Garetado Fredito, the Minister of Transport and Public Works, in 1891. It starts from the Rambla of Montevideo (coastal avenue) at Punta Carretas, goes north for about 6.5 kilometers, turns 100° west, and runs for another 4 kilometers up to the Rambla at Capurro - Bella Vista. It meets with Montevideo's most important avenue, 18 de Julio Avenue, in Tres Cruces. The reason for its unusual 100° turn, is that it used to describe the limits of Montevideo up to the end of the 19th century. On its way, it crosses or borders 16 barrios of Montevideo. It intersects some of the main avenues of the city, like Avenida Agraciada, Avenida General Flores, Avenida 8 de Octubre, and the Rambla of Montevideo, all of which connect to main roads linking Montevideo with the other cities of Uruguay.

Club de Golf del Uruguay is an Uruguayan sports and social club from the city of Montevideo. Although golf is the main sport of the institution, the club hosts a large variety of sports such as billar, basketball, basque pelota, fencing, football, futsal, karate, rugby union and swimming apart from other social activities. The club was originally established as "Uruguay Golf Club", being its president Haroldo Capurro. In 1922 the club affiliated to Uruguayan Golf Association. The Golf Club also entrusted the association its courses to be built in Punta Carretas with the purpose of encouraging tourism at the region.The golf course is located on the Rambla of Montevideo that runs alongside the Río de la Plata. It was designed by Alister MacKenzie and has 18 holes and 6,635 yards. It is officially known as the Parque de las Instrucciones del Año XIII, and is open tu public on Sunday afternoons, except in winter and during international tournaments. In 1975 it was declared an historical national monument. The course was inaugurated on May 25, 1934 before starting the 2nd edition of Torneo Abierto de Montevideo. It held the Copa Los Andes, among other South American championship. In 2013 and 2014, the Roberto De Vicenzo Invitational Copa NEC, a professional tournament on PGA Tour Latinoamérica, was played at Club de Golf. The club also has an own publication, Golf Magazine that covers all the social and sports activities and corporate events organized by Club de Golf. The rugby union team of the club, nicknamed "Los Cuervos" (The Crows) due to its black uniform, was formed in 1959 and currently competes in Campeonato Uruguayo, the first division of Uruguayan rugby system.

Liceo Joaquin Suarez was the first public secondary school in Pocitos, in the city of Montevideo. From 1944 to 1948 its location was in Magallanes street where he shared the building with the Italian School, a place that later the Faculty of Economics and Faculty of Humanities later. That same year, Professor Juan Carlos Sábat Pébet, writer, journalist, historical researcher and poet, (elected director Joaquín Suárez 1945), is the driving force behind the transfer of this high school to the district Pocitos, Spain 2772 Boulevard street. Later he moved to the street Jaime Zudañez 2730.

The Vilamajó House Museum (Spanish: Museo Casa Vilamajó) is located in the house that the architect Julio Vilamajó built for his family in 1930 in Montevideo, being the first modern dwelling to open its doors as a museum house in Uruguay. The Vilamajó House Museum is the materialization of an initiative of the School of Architecture at the University of the Republic which, in agreement with the Ministry of Education and Culture, owner of the property, opened its doors to the public in May 2012. The museum has been envisaged as a research and promotion center addressing the life and work of Vilamajó and of architecture and design as disciplines open to the society.

The Estadio Luis Franzini (or Luis Franzini Stadium) is an outdoor football stadium located in Montevideo, Uruguay. The stadium's maximum capacity is 16,000 people, and it is the home ground of Defensor Sporting. The stadium was closed during the 1997 season for renovations. It reopened on 16 August 1998 with the name Nuevo Estadio Luis Franzini. Renovations included a seating capacity increase and leveling of the playing area. Previously, the land sloped to the west, toward the Rio de la Plata. Situated on municipal land on the Parque Rodo at the intersection of Herrera y Reissig and Sarmiento Streets, the Luis Franzini Stadium is named for the former president of the Uruguayan Soccer Commission (Comisión de Fútbol) and Defensor Sporting, Luis Franzini, who led the club for thirty three years.

Punta Brava Lighthouse (Faro de Punta Brava), also known as Punta Carretas Lighthouse, is a lighthouse in Punta Carretas, Montevideo, Uruguay. It was erected in 1876. The lighthouse has a height of 21 metres and its light reaches 15 nautical miles (28 kilometres) away, with a flash every ten seconds. In 1962, the lighthouse became electric. The lighthouse is important for guiding boats into the Banco Inglés, Buceo Port or the entrance of the Santa Lucía River, west of Montevideo city.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Oriental Republic of Uruguay is the official representative of the President and the Government of the Russian Federation to the President and the Government of Uruguay.The ambassador and his staff work at large in the Embassy of Russia in Montevideo. The ambassador to Uruguay is concurrently appointed as the Russian representative to the Latin American Integration Association. The post of Russian Ambassador to Uruguay is currently held by Andrey Budayev, incumbent since 5 October 2020.

The Memorial to the Holocaust of the Jewish People (Spanish: Memorial del Holocausto del Pueblo Judío) is an outdoor memorial dedicated to victims of the Holocaust. The memorial is located at the junction of Rambla Presidente Wilson and Artigas Boulevard, in the Montevidean neighbourhood of Punta Carretas, on the shores of the River Plate, in Uruguay.The memorial is around 120 metres long, and is mostly made of pink granite, with a central window looking out at the sea. A pair of railway rails are at the approach to the memorial, and the central part of the memorial has two wooden bridge crossings. It also includes several inscribed stele, including one signed by Elie Wiesel.It was designed by Gastón Boero, Fernando Fabiano and Sylvia Perossio, with landscaping by Carlos Pellegrino. It opened in 1994.

Parque Rodó is both a barrio (neighbourhood or district) of Montevideo, Uruguay and a park which lies mostly outside the limits of the barrio itself and belongs to Punta Carretas. The name "Rodó" has been given in memory of José Enrique Rodó, an important Uruguayan writer whose monument is in the southern side of the main park.

Barrio Jardín is a small neighbourhood of Montevideo, Uruguay, which is part of barrio Parque Rodó. It was formerly known as "Parque del Pueblo". It is delimited by España Boulevard to its north, 21 de Setiembre Avenue to its south and west and Artigas Boulevard to its east. Directly to the north is situated the Faculty of Architecture of the University of the Republic, while to its east is the barrio Pocitos. The park area of Parque Rodó starts directly to its south, with the Defensor Sporting Club, the Parque Rodó Infantil and the National Museum of Visual Arts just across its southern limits. On the side facing Artigas Boulevard is also situated a villa housing the Embassy of Japan.
