Valdebernardo

Casco Histórico de Vicálvaro is a ward (barrio) of Madrid belonging to the district of Vicálvaro.

Valdebernardo is a station on line 9 of Madrid Metro which runs under Indalecio Prieto Boulevard, in the Vicálvaro district of Madrid district. It is located in fare Zone A. The station opened its doors on 1 December 1998. The project leaders rejected the original name "Lucio de Mingo" (a war hero to some) because of possible conflicts. Valdebernardo, the name eventually chosen, translates to "Bernardo's Valley" and refers to the Barcelonian Bernardo Gomez, ancestor of the landlord. Metro Valdebernardo is special in the way its exits are located at the end of the spacious platforms and not, as is usual for most single-line stations, in hallways that branch off to the sides. Due to the station having been built underneath a green strip in the middle of the central road of the neighbourhood, it also has skylights.

Faunia is a zoo and a botanical garden located in Madrid, Spain. It covers about fourteen square hectares and is organized into areas representing different ecosystems, such as jungle, polar regions, and African forest. It is owned by Parques Reunidos, SA. Faunia was opened on July 10, 2001, under the name Parque Biológico de Madrid. In 2002, the park was renamed Faunia, a name created by the philologist and writer, Fernando Beltrán. The author of the project was Ricardo Novaro Bocco.. In 2014, Faunia received 400,867 visitors.

The Centro Deportivo Municipal Moratalaz, also known as the Polideportivo de Moratalaz, is a sports complex located in the Moratalaz district of Madrid, Spain. The 108.3 m² facility in the Pavones ward includes the following sports venues: an athletics track, an outdoor football pitch, three indoor soccer courts, two fronton courts for basque pelota, a handball court, six tennis courts, a beach volleyball court, and outdoor and an indoor swimming pool, an archery range, an ice rink for skating, and a multi-use indoor sports hall. It also as facilities to support padel, rhythmic gymnastics and bodybuilding.An annual track and field event, the Meeting de Atletismo Madrid, is hosted at the athletics stadium, which had a blue track installed in 2014. The competition has regularly been a part of the IAAF World Challenge series since 2010, was an IAAF Grand Prix level meeting from 2006 to 2009, and was an IAAF Super Grand Prix meeting from 2003 to 2005. It has also hosted IAAF Hammer Throw Challenge events regularly since 2010.

The Church of St Peter ad Vincula (Spanish: Iglesia de San Pedro ad Vincula) is a church located in Villa de Vallecas district in Madrid (Spain). The design of the building is attributed to the well-known architect Juan de Herrera. It was built towards the end of the sixteenth century and replaced an earlier church on the same site.
