El Valle is one of the 22 parishes located in the Libertador Bolivarian Municipality and one of 32 of Caracas, Venezuela.

Coche is a Caracas Metro station on Line 3. It was opened on 9 January 2010 on the section of the line between El Valle and La Rinconada, which was opened earlier without intermediate stations. The station is located between Los Jardines and Mercado.

The Paseo Los Próceres (translatable into English as Walkway of the Heroes) is a monument located in the Venezuelan city of Caracas, near Fort Tiuna and the Military Academy of the Bolivarian Army. On the promenade there are statues of the heroes of the War of Independence, as well as fountains, stairs, squares, roads and walls. Since 1993, the Paseo Los Próceres and the entire annex system was declared a National Historic Landmark.

El Valle is a Caracas Metro station on Line 3. It was opened on 18 December 1994 as the southern terminus of the inaugural section of Line 3 from Plaza Venezuela to El Valle. The station is between La Bandera and Los Jardines. On 15 October 2006 the line was extended south to La Rinconada, but the intermediate stations were only opened on 9 January 2010.

Fuerte Tiuna or Fort Tiuna (more formally the Military Complex of Fort Tiuna) is the name given to one of the most recognized military installations in the city of Caracas and the South American and Caribbean country of Venezuela. There are important institutions of various types, such as the headquarters of the Ministry of Popular Power for Defense, EFOFAC, The General Command of the Army, El Libertador Shooting Range, the Army Food Center, the Caracas Military Circle, Paseo Los Próceres, the Bolívar Battalion, La Viñeta Residence (Official Residence of the Vice President) and some units of the Venezuelan Military Academy.It is located between Coche and El Valle parishes, both south of the Libertador Municipality and southwest of the Caracas Metropolitan District, to the north center of Venezuela. It houses not only military structures but also sports, urban, cultural, financial spaces etc, highlights the Tiuna City Complex a complex of thousands of homes built under the auspices of the Ministry of Habitat and Housing and Residences Carlos Raúl Villanueva assigned to military personnel. It is bordered largely by the Regional Highway of the Center and the Valle Coche Highway.

The Southern General Cemetery is the largest cemetery in Caracas. It was founded in 1876, by order of President Antonio Guzmán Blanco. It is located at the end of El Cementerio and El Degredo streets, in the parish of Santa Rosalia, west of Libertador Municipality. The administration of the cemetery is the responsibility of the Municipal Cemeteries management department, which is attached to Fundacaracas, a foundation of the Libertador Municipality's government. It has the support of Fundapatrimonio, the municipal police in Caracas and the Institute of Cultural Heritage. Among the well-known Venezuelan persons buried there are: Armando Reverón, Raimundo Andueza Palacio, Juan Pablo Rojas Paúl, Miguel Otero Silva, Carlos Delgado Chalbaud, Andrés Mata, Martín Tovar y Tovar, Juan Antonio Pérez Bonalde, Rómulo Gallegos, Argimiro Gabaldón, Fabricio Ojeda, Aquiles Nazoa, Andrés Eloy Blanco, Jorge Rodríguez, Anacleto Clemente Bolívar, Látigo Chávez, General Ramón Centeno and Victorino Ponce. Some have special memorials such as the Caldera Family, the Firefighters' Pantheon, the President's Pantheon, and Isaías Medina Angarita and Joaquín Crespo's mausoleum, this last one built in 1898.

Mercado is a Caracas Metro station on Line 3. It was opened on 9 January 2010 on the section of the line between El Valle and La Rinconada, which started operations earlier without intermediate stations. The station is located between Coche and La Rinconada.

La Bandera is a Caracas Metro station on Line 3. It was opened on 18 December 1994 as part of the inaugural section of Line 3 from Plaza Venezuela to El Valle. The station is between Los Símbolos and El Valle.

On May 13, 1958, US Vice President Richard Nixon's motorcade was attacked by a mob in Caracas, Venezuela, during Nixon's goodwill tour of South America. The event was described at the time as the "most violent attack ever perpetrated on a high American official while on foreign soil." Close to being killed while a couple of his aides were injured in the melee, Nixon ended up unharmed and his entourage managed to reach the U.S. embassy. The visit took place only months after the overthrow in January of Venezuelan dictator Marcos Pérez Jiménez, who in 1954 had been awarded the Legion of Merit and was later granted asylum by the United States, and the incident may have been orchestrated by the Communist Party of Venezuela. U.S. Navy Admiral Arleigh Burke mobilized fleet and Marine units to the region, compelling the Venezuelan government to provide full protection to Nixon for the remainder of the trip. The attack was denounced by all major Venezuelan presidential candidates standing in that year's election, except for the incumbent leader Admiral Wolfgang Larrazábal. Nixon was generally applauded in American press reports for his calm and adept handling of the incident and was feted with a "hero's welcome" on his return to the United States. His recollections of the attack form one of the "six crises" explored in his 1962 Six Crises book.

Caracas (, Spanish: [kaˈɾakas]), officially Santiago de León de Caracas, abbreviated as CCS, is the capital and largest city of Venezuela, and the center of the Metropolitan Region of Caracas (or Greater Caracas). Caracas is located along the Guaire River in the northern part of the country, within the Caracas Valley of the Venezuelan coastal mountain range (Cordillera de la Costa). The valley is close to the Caribbean Sea, separated from the coast by a steep 2,200-meter-high (7,200 ft) mountain range, Cerro El Ávila; to the south there are more hills and mountains. The Metropolitan Region of Caracas has an estimated population of almost 5 million inhabitants. The center of the city is Catedral, located near Bolívar Square, though some consider the center to be Plaza Venezuela, located in the Los Caobos area. Businesses in the city include service companies, banks, and malls. Caracas has a largely service-based economy, apart from some industrial activity in its metropolitan area. The Caracas Stock Exchange and Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) are headquartered in Caracas. Empresas Polar is the largest private company in Venezuela. Caracas is also Venezuela's cultural capital, with many restaurants, theaters, museums, and shopping centers. Caracas has some of the tallest skyscrapers in Latin America, such as the Parque Central Towers. The Museum of Contemporary Art of Caracas is one of the most important in South America.

Cocodrilos Sports Park is a multi-use stadium in Caracas, Venezuela. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the part-time home stadium of Caracas Fútbol Club along with Estadio Brígido Iriarte. The stadium holds 3,500 people.

La Rinconada Hippodrome (Spanish: Hipódromo La Rinconada) is a race track for Thoroughbred horse racing located in Coche, a neighborhood of south Caracas, Venezuela. It was designed by Arthur Froehlich and opened on July 5, 1959. This track is the #1 course in the country known to host a number of major races with some of the best jockeys in the world participating every year. Some of the important races held here annually include: Clásico Internacional Propietarios de La Rinconada (Grade 1) Gran Premio Clásico Simón Bolívar (Grade 1) Clásico Fuerza Armada Bolivariana (former Clásico Fuerzas Armadas) Clásico Antonio Jose de Sucre Copa Internacional Cruz del Avila Clásico Republica de Venezuela Clásico Internacional Jockey Club de Venezuela (Gr. 1)On the race track grounds is also the Poliedro de Caracas as well as the Alejandro Otero Museum (Museo de Artes Visuales Alejandro Otero).
