Kampos (Thrace)

Özgürlük Meydanı is an underground station on the M3 line of the Istanbul Metro. It is located under İncirli Street at Bakırköy Liberty Square in the Kartaltepe neighbourhood of Bakırköy. It was opened on 10 March 2024, with the opening of the M3 extension from Kirazlı to Bakırköy Sahil.

Ammoi was a town of ancient Thrace, inhabited during Byzantine times.Its site is located east of Bakırköy in European Turkey.

Carousel Shopping Center (Turkish: Carousel Alışveriş ve Yaşam Merkezi), opened in 1995, is a modern shopping mall located in the Bakırköy district of Istanbul, Turkey. The shopping center with its 76,500 m² area has 117 shops, fast food restaurants, cafeterias, entertainment center and movie theaters. There are 7 elevators and 12 escalators providing easy access to 1.5 million visitors monthly. Car parking is free for the shoppers. Its attractions include discussion panels, music recitals, an art gallery where exhibitions by both amateur and professional artists are held, book-signing sessions by famous authors, and special weeks featuring different countries. In 1996, Carousel was honored with "Jean-Louis Solal Marketing Award" of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).

Bakırköy railway station (Turkish: Bakırköy istasyonu) is the main railway station in Bakırköy, Istanbul. Located 12.6 km (7.8 mi) west of Sirkeci station, the station was serviced by Istanbul suburban commuter trains as well as TCDD regional trains to Kapıkule, Çerkezköy and Uzunköprü. The station was closed in March 2013 and subsequently demolished to make way for a larger, more modern station as part of the Marmaray project. The rebuilt station was opened on 12 March 2019.The new Bakırköy station has two platforms serving four tracks.

Bakırköy Synagogue is a synagogue in Bakırköy, Istanbul, Turkey active since the late 19th century for the Jews of the area. Because of a decrease in the Jewish population in the area it is now only open for Shabbat services.

Veliefendi Race Course (Turkish: Veliefendi Hipodromu) is a horse racing track located at Veliefendi neighborhood in Bakırköy district of Istanbul, Turkey.It is the country's oldest and biggest race course founded on a former grassland that was historically a farm belonging to Şeyhülislam Veliyüddin Efendi, an 18th-century superior authority of Islam in the Ottoman Empire. The race course was constructed in the years 1912/13 by German specialists upon the initiative of Enver Pasha.The race course hosts also music events. In 2006, Turkish pop singer Nez held a concert.

The Camera Museum (Turkish: Hilmi Nakipoğlu Fotoğraf Makineleri Müzesi) is a privately owned museum in Istanbul, Turkey owned by Hilmi Nakipoğlu exhibiting cameras.Established in 1997, the museum is located at Osmaniye Cad. 18B, Zihinsel Engelliler Okulu (School for Mental Disableds) Floor 4, Bakırköy, Istanbul. It features around 900 cameras of various type dated from 1896 to today and accessories.

The Cistern of the Hebdomon (Greek: κινστέρνη τοῦ Ἕβδομου), known in Turkish as Fildamı Sarnıcı ("Cistern of the elephant's stable"), is a Byzantine open sky water reservoir built in the quarter of the Hebdomon (today's Bakirköy), an outskirt of Constantinople.

Galleria Ataköy, the first modern shopping mall in Turkey, is situated in the western suburb of Ataköy, Istanbul. It was built following the recommendation of then Prime Minister Turgut Özal, who was inspired by the shopping mall Houston Galleria in Houston, Texas, United States. Galleria Ataköy was opened in 1988 by Turgut Özal.

Galleria Ice Rink (Turkish: Galleria Buz Pisti) is an indoor ice skating and ice hockey rink located within the Galleria Ataköy shopping center located in Bakırköy district of Istanbul, Turkey. It was opened in 1989. The rink is run by the company "Galleria Buz Pateni Pisti", a subsidiary of the shopping mall.The venue hosts all kinds of ice sports events in Istanbul including Turkish ice hockey leagues for men's, women's and junior's. It is home to the ice hockey club Istanbul Paten Kulübü. By April 2010, the director general of the Galleria shopping mall announced that the ice rink will be closed to make space for additional recreational places and new stores within the renovation project of the shopping mall.

Rhesion was a town of ancient Thrace, inhabited during Byzantine times.Its site is located near Çobanayazma in European Turkey.

Bakırköy—İncirli is an underground station on the M1 line of the Istanbul Metro. It is located in north-eastern Bakırköy district next to the E80 motorway. Bakırköy—İncirli was opened on 7 March 1994 as part of the extension from Zeytinburnu. The station is located just north of Bakırköy's center and is 1.8 km (1.1 mi) north of the temporarily out of service Bakırköy railway station.
