California Health Sciences University

Clovis is a city in Fresno County, California, United States. Clovis was established in 1890 as a freight stop for the San Joaquin Valley Railroad by a group of Fresno businessmen and Michigan railroad speculator Marcus Pollasky. The railroad bought the land from two farmers and named the station after one of them, Clovis Cole. Pollasky then developed a town on the site, also named Clovis. The completion of the lumber flume in 1894 led to the growth of the area around Clovis Station where a lumberyard and sawmill were built. Clovis was officially incorporated as a city in 1912. Today, Clovis celebrates its heritage as an American frontier town, known for its rodeo, Old Town Clovis historic district, and its motto "Clovis – A Way of Life." The 2020 population was 120,124. Clovis is located 6.5 miles (10.5 km) northeast of downtown Fresno, at an elevation of 361 feet (110 m).

The station is currently owned by Fat Dawgs 7 Broadcasting, LLC and features programming from ESPN Radio.

The Center for Advanced Research and Technology (CART) is a high tech high school in Clovis, California, United States. The CART facility is about 75,000 sq ft (7,000 m2). It offers classes in professional sciences, engineering, advanced communications, and global economics. Within each cluster are career-specific laboratories in which students complete industry-based projects and receive academic credit for advanced English, science, math, and technology.

Dr. Floyd B. Buchanan High School, known as Buchanan High School, is a four-year public high school in Clovis, California, United States. The school is part of the Buchanan Educational Center, which houses approximately 5,000 students at Garfield Elementary School (K-6), Alta Sierra Intermediate School (7-8), and Buchanan High School. The school graduated its first class in the spring of 1995, and is named after CUSD's first district superintendent, Dr. Floyd B. Buchanan, which makes Buchanan High School the only CUSD high school that does not contain "Clovis" in its name.

Tarpey Village is a census-designated place in Fresno County, California, between Fresno and Clovis, 2 miles (3.2 km) south of the latter, near Tarpey. Tarpey village falls within the Clovis Unified School District. It lies at an elevation of 351 ft (107 m). At the 2010 census, the population was 3,888.

Save Mart Center at Fresno State is a multi-purpose arena, on the campus of California State University, Fresno (Fresno State), located in Fresno, California. An open house was held for the community on November 5, 2003, with the official ribbon cutting following on November 27, 2003. It is home to the Fresno State Bulldogs men's and women's basketball teams, women's volleyball team and wrestling team. It is the former home of the Fresno Falcons ice hockey team for their first five seasons in the ECHL (2003–08); prior to the opening of the building, they played at Selland Arena. It is also a concert destination, with its first performance featuring opera tenor Andrea Bocelli. Financing for the project was provided through revenue, from corporate sponsorships, private gifts, leasing of luxury suites, sale of club seating and personal seat licenses, as well as revenue from advertising and signage agreements.

University High School (UHS) is a charter high school on the campus of California State University, Fresno, in Fresno, California. The school emphasizes college-prep academics and music. UHS opened in 2000 with Dr. Brad Huff as the founding head of school, with its first class graduating in 2004. At the end of the 2004–2005 school year, approximately 370 students were enrolled. The school now has a steady enrollment of about 480 students. University High School is chartered by the Fresno Unified School District and has special autonomy over its administration.

The Leaky Acres Recharge Facility is a groundwater recharge facility located in Fresno, California. The facility began as a joint research project by the City of Fresno water division and the US Department of Agriculture. It first began percolating water in 1971 and was subsequently expanded and duplicated in other areas of the city.
