Bowlsby-Degelleke House is located in Parsippany–Troy Hills, Morris County, New Jersey, United States. The house was built in 1790 and added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 15, 1978.

The Boonton Formation is a mapped bedrock unit in New Jersey, formerly divided between the Boonton and Whitehall beds of the defunct Brunswick Formation. It is named for the town of Boonton, New Jersey, which is near where its type section was described by paleontologist Paul E. Olsen.

The Boonton Historical Society and Museum, is located at 210 Main Street in Boonton, New Jersey. The building was constructed in 1898 as a private residence for Dr. John Taylor and his wife Adelaide Kanouse. Since 1959, the building has served as local history museum beneath the auspices of the Boonton Historical Society.

Boonton High School is a comprehensive four-year public high school that serves students in ninth through twelfth grades from Boonton, in Morris County, New Jersey, United States, operating as part of the Boonton Public Schools. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1928.As of the 2020–21 school year, the school had an enrollment of 636 students and 53.9 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.8:1. There were 153 students (24.1% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 35 (5.5% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.The high school serves students from Boonton and approximately 300 students from Lincoln Park, who attend as part of a sending/receiving relationship with the Lincoln Park Public Schools. The two districts have sought to sever the more-than-50-year-old relationship, citing cost savings that could be achieved by both districts and complaints by Lincoln Park that it is granted only one seat on the Boonton Public Schools' Board of Education. In April 2006, the Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Education rejected the request.

District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.The district's high school serves students from Boonton and also those from Lincoln Park, who attend as part of a sending/receiving relationship with the Lincoln Park Public Schools, with Lincoln Park students accounting for a majority of students at the high school. The two districts have sought to sever the more-than-50-year-old relationship, citing cost savings that could be achieved by both districts and complaints by Lincoln Park that it is granted only one seat on the Boonton Public Schools' Board of Education, less than the number of seats that would be allocated based on the percentage of students of population. The Boonton Iron Works were founded about 1770 by Samuel Ogden who, with others in his family, purchased a 6-acre (24,000 m2) tract along the Rockaway River, near present-day Boonton, New Jersey. Here rolling and slitting mills were erected that engaged in the manufacture of nail rods and bar iron. With the construction of the Morris Canal in 1830, the New Jersey Iron Company was organized. This company built a new plant costing $283,000 and imported skilled mechanics from England. Under Fuller & Lord (1852–1876) the enterprise become an integrated industry with ore and timber reserves, canal boats, furnaces, mills and auxiliary plants. After 1881, the business slowly declined. The plant closed in 1911.

Parsippany High School (also known as PHS) is a four-year comprehensive public high school, one of two high schools in the township of Parsippany-Troy Hills, in Morris County, New Jersey, United States, operating as part of the Parsippany-Troy Hills School District. The school serves students in ninth through twelfth grades who live in the eastern half of Parsippany-Troy Hills. Its companion school in the district is Parsippany Hills High School. As of the 2020–21 school year, the school had an enrollment of 925 students and 88.7 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.4:1. There were 156 students (16.9% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 33 (3.6% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Boonton is a town in Morris County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the town's population was 8,347, reflecting a decline of 149 (−1.8%) from the 8,496 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 153 (+1.8%) from the 8,343 counted in the 1990 Census. The settlement was originally called "Boone-Towne" in 1761 in honor of the Colonial Governor Thomas Boone.Boonton was originally formed on March 16, 1866, within portions of Hanover Township and Pequannock Township. The town was reincorporated and became fully independent on March 18, 1867.The development of Boonton began in about 1829, as a result of the construction of the Morris Canal and the formation of the New Jersey Iron Company. The original location of the town is now largely under the Jersey City Reservoir, completed in 1904. In 1908, the waters from this reservoir were the first municipal water supply in the United States to be chlorinated. The decision to build the chlorination system was made by John L. Leal and the facility was designed by George W. Fuller.

Boonton is a NJ Transit station in Boonton, Morris County, New Jersey, United States along the Montclair-Boonton Line. It is located on Main Street (County Route 511), near Myrtle Avenue (U.S. Route 202) and I-287. The original 1905 station was built by architect Frank J. Nies who built other stations for the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad. Unlike most of his stations which tended to be massive Renaissance structures, Boonton station was built as a simple Prairie House design. The station house is now a bar, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 13, 1977, two years before the establishment of New Jersey Transit and six years before becoming part of their railroad division.

The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1940.Students from Boonton Township attend the school as part of a sending/receiving relationship with the Boonton Township School District.As of the 2019–20 school year, the school had an enrollment of 653 students and 61.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.7:1. There were 8 students (1.2% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 1 (0.2% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

The Boonton Public Library, also known as the Holmes Library, is located at 619 Main Street in the town of Boonton in Morris County, New Jersey. Built c. 1849, the Greek Revival building was purchased by James Holmes in 1856 and became the public library in 1893. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 13, 1972, for its significance in communications, education, and social history. It was added as a contributing property to the Boonton Historic District on September 29, 1980.
