Zweibel Farmstead

The Moses Merrill Mission, also known as the Oto Mission, was located about eight miles west of Bellevue, Nebraska. It was built and occupied by Moses and Eliza Wilcox Merrill, the first missionaries resident in Nebraska. The first building was part of facilities built in 1835 when the United States Government removed the Otoe about eight miles southwest of Bellevue. Merrill's goal was to convert the local Otoe tribe to Christianity; he had learned the language and translated the Bible and some hymns into Otoe. The first log cabin had to be replaced after it burned, but by 1835 they had built a combined school/church building. After Merrill died in 1840 from tuberculosis, the Otoe left the mission and moved their village. His wife Eliza Merrill returned to the East with their son. Settlers used the cabin into the 1860s. As of 2005, the only remainders of the second and larger mission building are its original chimney and the cottonwood trees planted by Eliza Merrill. As of July 2016, the last remaining cottonwood tree was torn down. The site was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. The state has placed a highway historical marker near the former site of the Oto Mission.

KFAB (1110 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station in Omaha, Nebraska, with studios and offices on Underwood Avenue in Omaha. It broadcasts a news/talk format and is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. KFAB is a Class A clear channel station, operating at 50,000 watts, the maximum power for commercial AM stations, from a transmitter on South 60th Street at Capehart Road in Papillion. A single tower beams the full power during the day. At night, power is fed to a three-tower array in a directional pattern to avoid interfering with WBT Charlotte, the other Class A station on 1110 AM. Due to its high power and Nebraska's excellent ground conductivity, KFAB's daytime signal is heard in most of Eastern Nebraska and Western Iowa, with at least grade B coverage as far as Kansas City, Topeka, Sioux City and Des Moines. At night, even though it must direct its signal north–south to protect WBT, it can be heard across most of the western half of North America with a good radio. KFAB is licensed by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission to broadcast in the HD Radio (hybrid) format.

The McCarty-Lilley House is a historic two-story house in Bellevue, Nebraska. It was built as a one-story house in 1865 by Robert McCarty, a veteran of the Mexican–American War of 1846-1848 who fought in the Battle of Buena Vista and the Battle of Chapultepec. He also served as a Democratic county commissioner for Sarpy Counter in 1857 and 1860. The house was inherited by his granddaughter Susie in 1903, who lived here with her husband James Lilley and their ten children. They added a second story and an attic in 1918. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978, and was delisted in 2020.

The Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail is a route across the United States commemorating the Lewis and Clark Expedition of 1804 to 1806. It is part of the National Trails System of the United States. It extends for some 4,900 miles (7,900 km) from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to the mouth of the Columbia River in Oregon. The trail is administered by the National Park Service, but sites along the trail are managed by federal land management agencies, state, local, tribal, and private organizations. The trail is not a hiking trail, but provides opportunities for hiking, boating and horseback riding at many locations along the route. The trail is the continuously longest of the 30 National Scenic and National Historic Trails. The Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail is approximately 4,900 miles (7,900 km) long, extending from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the mouth of the Columbia River, near present-day Astoria, Oregon. It follows the historic outbound and inbound routes of the Lewis and Clark Expedition as well as the preparatory section from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Camp Dubois at Wood River, Illinois. The Trail connects 16 states (Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota, Montana, Idaho, Washington, and Oregon) and many tribal lands. It is administered by the National Park Service.

Papillion Middle School is a middle school in Papillion, Nebraska, United States, which currently holds 7th grade and 8th grade. The school building was opened in 1957 as Papillion High School, which relocated to its present site in north Papillion in August 1971.

The John Sautter Farmhouse is a historic one-and-a-half-story farm house in Papillion, Nebraska. It was built in 1866 for John Sautter Sr., his wife Anna Elisabeth Lehner, and their three sons. The Sautters were immigrants from Ostdorf, Balingen, Württemberg, Germany. After John Sr. died in 1905 and his wife died in 1914, their son John Jr. lived on the farm until 1943. The house was acquired by the Papillion Area Historical Society in 1979 and relocated from North Papillion to its current location. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since September 30, 1980.

Papillion is a city in and the county seat of Sarpy County, Nebraska, United States. The city developed in the 1870s as a railroad town and suburb of Omaha. The city is part of the larger five-county metro area of Omaha. Papillion's population was 24,159 at the 2020 census, making it the 7th most populous city in Nebraska. Its growth since the late 20th century has reflected Omaha's.

Bellevue Medical Center is a hospital located in Bellevue, Sarpy County, Nebraska, United States. It opened on May 17, 2010.

The Third Sarpy County Courthouse is a historic building in Papillion, Nebraska, and the former courthouse of Sarpy County. It was built by John L. Soderberg in 1922–1923, and designed in the Classical Revival style by architect William F. Gernandt. Two other courthouses had been built for the county prior to this one: the first one was the Fontenelle Bank in Bellevue, followed by a second one in Papillion. A fourth courthouse replaced this building in 1974, and it became a city hall and public library. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since July 5, 1990.
