Nebraska Wesleyan University (NWU) is a private Methodist-affiliated university in Lincoln, Nebraska. It was founded in 1887 by Nebraska Methodists. As of 2017, it has approximately 2,100 students including 1,500 full-time students and 300 faculty and staff. The school teaches in the tradition of a liberal arts college education. The university has 119 undergraduate majors, minors, and pre-professional programs in addition to three graduate programs.

The Alice Abel Arboretum is a 25 acres (10 hectares) arboretum located at 5000 St. Paul Street on the campus of Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Old Main is a historic three-story building on the campus of Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska. It was built in 1887–1888, and designed in the Romanesque Revival style by Gibbs and Parker. It was the administration building on the NWU campus until 1975. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since May 21, 1975.

The University of Nebraska College of Law is one of the professional graduate schools of University of Nebraska system. It was founded in 1888 and became part of University of Nebraska in 1891. According to Nebraska's official 2017 ABA-required disclosures, 70.3% of the Class of 2016 obtained full-time, long-term, JD-required employment nine months after graduation.

The University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry is located on the East Campus of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. The College offers degrees in Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) and Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH). The College also offers postgraduate programs for Endodontics, Orthodontics, Pediatrics, Periodontics and General Practice Residency. The Department of Oral Biology participates in the Medical Sciences Interdepartmental Area (MSIA) Program in the Graduate College at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC). Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees are offered with specialization in a variety of biomedical disciplines.

Whitehall is a historic house in Lincoln, Nebraska. It was built in 1910 for Olive White, with "a foundation and trim of light Bedford stone and a large frontal porch of reinforced concrete." White's late husband, C. C. White, had served as a trustee of Nebraska Wesleyan University, a private Methodist university in Lincoln, and she hosted many university events in the house. The house was designed in the Classical Revival architectural style. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since October 29, 1982.The house was bought by the state of Nebraska in 1927 to serve as a home for children, and in 1981 it was owned by the Department of Public Welfare of the state. New housing for children is located on the property (not included in this nomination), and the house is used as offices.

The Earl G. Maxwell Arboretum is a 5-acre (2.0 ha) arboretum and botanical garden located on the East Campus of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in Lincoln, Nebraska. The arboretum began more than 50 years ago when Earl G. Maxwell began to plant trees on the campus. It was subsequently dedicated as the second site of the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum. Mature oaks include specimens of black, bur, English, pin, sawtooth, shingle, shumard, and swamp white varieties. Other trees include blue ash, chestnut, pawpaw, sweetgum, black tupelo, and Scots pine. Additional plants include lilacs, cold-hardy rhododendrons, and viburnums, as well as over 80 hosta cultivars, and a 1-acre (4,000 m2) prairie with native wildflowers and bluestem and Indian grass.

The Lester F. Larsen Tractor Test and Power Museum is a museum dedicated to preserving and documenting the history of Nebraska's tractor test law, operated by the University of Nebraska–Lincoln (NU) in Lincoln, Nebraska, United States. The Nebraska Tractor Test Law, passed in 1919 and administered by the university, requires performance testing on every tractor with forty horsepower or more sold in the state. The facility, initially established as the Nebraska Tractor Test Laboratory, was renamed for longtime chief engineer Lester F. Larsen when it was converted into a museum in 1998. It is the only tractor testing museum and the only complete tractor test laboratory in the world.

The Nebraska Tractor Test Laboratory (NTTL) is a program operated by the University of Nebraska in accordance with Nebraska law to test the performance of agricultural equipment that is to be sold in the United States for compliance with OECD standards. The NTTL has operated since 1920 as the common standard reference for tractor performance in the United States.

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission (NGPC) is the State of Nebraska's State agency charged with stewardship of the state's fish, wildlife, state park, and outdoor recreation resources. The agency is led by a governor-appointed member commission consisting of 9 commissioners which directs agency management. The commission is also charged with issuing of state hunting licenses, fishing licenses, and boat registrations. The agency also manages State Parks and recreation areas throughout the state. It conducts public education programs for hunting and boating safety. The agency is headquartered in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Lincoln Northeast High School is a public high school in Lincoln, Nebraska, United States. It is part of the Lincoln Public Schools district and was established in 1941 when three rival schools (Bethany, Havelock and Jackson) were combined into one. The school is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools and has been rated "AA" by the Nebraska Department of Education since 1943.

Nebraska Public Media, formerly Nebraska Educational Telecommunications (NET), is a state network of public radio and television stations in the U.S. state of Nebraska. It is operated by the Nebraska Educational Telecommunications Commission (NETC). The television stations are all members of the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), while the radio stations are members of National Public Radio (NPR). The network is headquartered in the Terry M. Carpenter & Jack G. McBride Nebraska Public Media Center which is located at 1800 North 33rd Street on the East campus of the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, and has a satellite studio in Omaha.
