The East Orange Oval was an athletic field located at Brick Church in East Orange, New Jersey. It was also the first known field used by the Orange Athletic Club football team. The field was also used for track and field events by the Old Brick Church of Orange, among other groups.

Ahlus Sunnah School is an Islamic school located in East Orange, New Jersey. Founded in 2005, the school serves students in grades PreK-12.As of the 2017–18 school year, the school had an enrollment of 117 students (plus 25 in PreK) and 28 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 4.2:1. The school's student body was 47.0% (55) Black, 19.7% (23) Asian, 17.1% (20) White, 13.7% (16) two or more races and 0.9% (1) Hispanic.

East Orange is an active commuter railroad train station in the city of East Orange, Essex County, New Jersey. Located next to East Orange City Hall, the station serves trains on the two lines that make up New Jersey Transit's Morris and Essex Lines: the Morristown Line and Gladstone Branch. Trains heading east to New York Penn Station and Hoboken Terminal stop at Newark Broad Street Station next, while trains heading west towards Gladstone and Hackettstown stop at Brick Church station. East Orange station contains two platforms (one side platform and one island platform) to service three active tracks. The station is accessible for handicapped persons per the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Service in East Orange began on November 19, 1836 when the Morris and Essex Railroad opened to Orange. Originally the station was known as Orange Junction as the name East Orange was assigned to the now-closed Grove Street station to the east. The current station at the location opened on December 18, 1922 when the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad completed an elevation project of the tracks through the city. The headhouse at East Orange station were added to the New Jersey and National Registers of Historic Places in 1984 as part of the Operating Passenger Railroad Stations Thematic Resource.

Holy Sepulchre Cemetery is located in East Orange and Newark, New Jersey. The Garden State Parkway runs through the two halves of the cemetery (exit 144 and exit 145, respectively). The cemetery was established in 1859 and is maintained by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Newark.In the 1950s, the newly constructed Garden State Parkway cut directly through the cemetery. Hundreds of graves had to be moved prior to construction. Both sides of the cemetery are visible to drivers on the Parkway today.

Ampere, formerly known as The Crescent, is a defunct stop on New Jersey Transit's Montclair-Boonton Line in the city of East Orange, Essex County, New Jersey, United States. A station was first built there in 1890 to service to new Crocker Wheeler plant in the district. The stop was named in honor of André-Marie Ampère, a pioneer in electrodynamics and reconstructed as a new Renaissance Revival station in 1908. Ampere was the second stop on the branch west of Newark Broad Street Station until 1984, when the Roseville Avenue station was closed. In June of that year, the station, along with 42 others, was entered into the National Register of Historic Places. In 1986, after continuous deterioration, New Jersey Transit demolished the westbound shelter built in 1921. The agency discontinued rail service to Ampere on April 7, 1991. The entire station was demolished in 1995.

Roseville Avenue was a transfer station on New Jersey Transit's Morris & Essex Lines (consisting of the Montclair Branch, Morristown Line and Gladstone Branch) in Newark, New Jersey, United States. The station was built by the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad in 1903 as part of a project to lower the tracks below the road surface to eliminate grade crossings. It serviced Newark's Roseville neighborhood. It once had two tracks (one each eastbound and westbound) on the Lackawanna mainline and two low-wall platforms, with an additional platform along the Montclair Branch. The station remained in service during most of the 20th century, until New Jersey Transit closed the station on September 16, 1984. Today, the only landmarks that mark the former station site are a metal utility box labeled "Roseville," and several flights of concrete stairs in the sides of the concrete-lined depression in which the track of the Morristown Line runs between the East Orange and Newark Broad Street stations. Shortly east of this structure, the Montclair-Boonton Line splits from the Morristown Line on its way to Montclair, Boonton, and Denville.

Fairmount is a neighborhood in the city of Newark in Essex County, New Jersey, United States. It is part of the West Ward. Its population is mostly African American . Central Avenue is the major street, though its commerce is considerably reduced from the Industrial Era heyday. The neighborhood is bounded by South Orange Avenue on the south, the Garden State Parkway on the west, Interstate 280 on the north, West Market Street on the north-east, and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey on the east.

St. Barnabas' Episcopal Church, is located in Newark, Essex County, New Jersey, United States. The building was built in 1864 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 18, 1972.

Roseville Presbyterian Church, also known as Roseville United Presbyterian Church, is a church at Roseville & Sussex Avenues in Newark, New Jersey, United States. It was organized and dedicated in 1854 and its current Sanctuary was built in 1867.

East Orange Stadium was a football stadium located at the intersection of North Clinton St. and Park Avenue in East Orange, New Jersey. The field was used for practice and home games by the Orange Athletic Club, who later evolved into the Orange Tornadoes of the National Football League prior to the opening of Knights of Columbus Stadium in 1926. Paul Robeson Stadium, which is used by East Orange Campus High School athletics, occupies the space that was once used for the field.

East Orange is a city in Essex County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the city's population was 69,612, an increase of 5,342 (+8.3%) from the 2010 census count of 64,270, which in turn reflected a decline of 5,554 (−8.0%) from the 69,824 counted in the 2000 census. The city was the state's 17th most populous municipality in 2020, after having been ranked 20th in 2010 and 14th statewide in 2000. The Census Bureau's Population Estimates Program calculated that the city's population was 68,446 in 2022, ranking the city the 553rd-most-populous in the country.
