Texas Oil Company (Cheyenne, Wyoming)

The Cheyenne Flour Milling Company, also known as the Standard Oil Company and Salt Creek Freightways, is an early warehouse building in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The structure was built in 1927 to house goods brought to and from Cheyenne by the Union Pacific Railroad in an industrial section of Cheyenne as a flour mill, replacing structures that had performed similar functions since 1915. By 1931 the building was shared by a warehouse for electrical parts for the Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph Company, a potato chip factory and a chemical products company. In 1937-38 the Standard Oil Company started to use the warehouse for bulk petroleum products storage, continuing to 1963. From 1963 the building was used by Salt Creek Freightways, which had shared use from 1936. In 1973 it became a plumbing parts warehouse, and by 2003 was owned and used by a general contractor.The oldest section of the L-shaped building is a one-story masonry building, 40 feet (12 m) by 32 feet (9.8 m), with a flat roof. A brick two-story section dates to 1927 and measures 70 feet (21 m) by 32 feet (9.8 m). This section has a stepped parapet. A cone-story concrete block addition was built in 1936, measuring about 36 feet (11 m) by 16 feet (4.9 m). Another brick addition abuts the connector, and appears to have been built as an office. Some of the masonry exhibits fire damage, attributed to its time as a potato chip factory. The facades retain a number of painted signs for the businesses that operated there.The complex was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

The Laramie County Milk Producers Cooperative Association, at 1122 W. 23rd St. in Cheyenne, Wyoming, was built in 1923. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.In 2002 it was the home of "Antiques Central". It is a two-story brick masonry factory/warehouse with a flat roof. It originally consisted of a north half 56 by 32 feet (17.1 m × 9.8 m) in plan and a south half 64 by 33.5 feet (19.5 m × 10.2 m) in plan, built on a raised concrete foundation with a full basement.

Cheyenne Ice and Events Center, formerly known as Taco John's Events Center and Ikon Center, is a 2,000-seat multipurpose venue. Located in Cheyenne, Wyoming, it opened in August 2000.The Ice and Events Center is home to the Cheyenne Capitals youth hockey organization. The center is also capable of accommodating concerts, trade shows, parties, art shows, conventions, forums, and many other types of events. The Cheyenne Ice and Events Center is capable of seating 2,000 people for special events and 600 people in sporting event configurations. It was also the home of the Cheyenne Warriors of the American Professional Football League and the Cheyenne Stampede of the Western States Hockey League. In 2011, the sponsorship agreement between the city of Cheyenne and the restaurant chain Taco John's expired.

Wyoming Fuel Company, an Early Commercial-style warehouse at 720 W. 18th St. in Cheyenne, Wyoming, was built in 1929, with an addition added in 1937. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.It was designed by William Dubois. It is a two-story, flat-roofed brick masonry building whose 1929 portion is 53 by 105 feet (16 m × 32 m) in plan; the northern addition is 53 by 35 feet (16 m × 11 m); it gives the appearance of a single unified building although the two parts do not communicate.

The Mt. Sinai Synagogue in Cheyenne, Wyoming was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017. Its original building was begun in 1915, and was the first permanent Jewish house of worship in the state of Wyoming.The synagogue was founded by Eastern European and German Jews, with the assistance of the Homestead Acts and the Jewish Agricultural Society. The synagogue moved in 1951 to its current location.

The Churchill Public School, also known as Churchill Elementary School, is a historic school located in Cheyenne, Wyoming, USA. Built in 1911, it is the oldest surviving public school in Cheyenne. The school is named for James Otis Churchill, Cheyenne's superintendent of schools for nearly two decades. The prominent Cheyenne architect William Dubois gave the school a Prairie design with an American Foursquare plan. It was the first of several schools designed by Dubois in Cheyenne. The two-story brick buildinghas a stepped parapet along its flat roof.The school was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

The Park Addition School at 1100 Richardson Court in Cheyenne, Wyoming was built in 1921. It was designed by architect Frederick Hutchinson Porter. Due to population growth, an addition was built during the 1947–1949 school year, and the school was renamed "Chaplin School" in the honor of Miss Ruth Chaplin who served as principal from its inception until the 1952–1953 school year. At this point, and due to further growth, the city of Cheyenne made available a portion of Pioneer Park, two blocks from the school, for expansion. The new "Chaplin Annex" was finished in 1953, with another addition built in 1956. Since the new separate annex had grown to at least twice the size of the Park addition, it was renamed "Pioneer Park" school, and an effort to consolidate both schools into the new larger facility ensued. The original Park Addition building was henceforth used for school administrative offices. In 1977 the building and land was sold by the school district to a private owner, and eventually became a day care establishment called "Children's Choice Childcare Center" in the early 1980s. The Park Addition structure was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005. As of 2016-2017 the property is under extensive restoration to return it to its glory days, and will soon be once again used.

Cheyenne ( shy-AN or shy-EN) is the capital and most populous city of the U.S. state of Wyoming, with 65,132 residents, per the 2020 US Census. It is the principal city of the Cheyenne metropolitan statistical area which encompasses all of Laramie County and had 100,512 residents as of the 2020 census. Local residents named the town for the Cheyenne Native American people in 1867 when it was founded in the Dakota Territory.Cheyenne is the northern terminus of the extensive Southern Rocky Mountain Front, which extends southward to Albuquerque, New Mexico, and includes the fast-growing Front Range Urban Corridor. Cheyenne is situated on Crow Creek and Dry Creek.

The Federal Office Building-Cheyenne, at 308 W. 21st St. in Cheyenne, Wyoming, is a Classical Revival-style building built in 1932. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.It is a four-story masonry building 127 by 50 feet (39 m × 15 m) in plan, upon a full basement. It was built to a three-story height, with capacity to add four more stories. The fourth floor was added in 1937.

The Wyoming House of Representatives is the lower house of the Wyoming State Legislature. There are 60 Representatives in the House, representing an equal number of single-member constituent districts across the state, each with a population of at least 9,000. The House convenes at the Wyoming State Capitol in Cheyenne. Members of the House serve two year terms without term limits. Term limits were declared unconstitutional by the Wyoming Supreme Court in 2004, overturning a decade-old law that had restricted Representatives to six terms (twelve years).The current Speaker of the House is Eric Barlow.

The Wyoming Senate is the upper house of the Wyoming State Legislature. There are 30 Senators in the Senate, representing an equal number of constituencies across Wyoming, each with a population of at least 17,000. The Senate meets at the Wyoming State Capitol in Cheyenne. Members of the Senate serve four year terms without term limits. Term limits were declared unconstitutional by the Wyoming Supreme Court in 2004, overturning a decade-old law that had restricted Senators to three terms (twelve years). Like other upper houses of state and territorial legislatures and the federal U.S. Senate, the Wyoming Senate can confirm or reject gubernatorial appointments to the state cabinet, commissions, boards, or justices to the Wyoming Supreme Court.

The United States District Court for the District of Wyoming (in case citations, D. Wyo.) is the federal district court whose jurisdiction comprises the state of Wyoming and those portions of Yellowstone National Park situated in Montana and Idaho; it is the only federal court district that includes portions of more than one state, creating a possible "Zone of Death" where it would be difficult to prosecute crimes. The court has locations in Cheyenne and Casper. Appeals from this court are heard by the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit (except for patent claims and claims against the U.S. government under the Tucker Act, which are appealed to the Federal Circuit). The United States Attorney's Office for the District of Wyoming represents the United States in civil and criminal litigation in the court. As of June 29, 2022 the acting United States attorney is Nicholas Vassallo.
