Lanark County

Drummond/North Elmsley is a township in eastern Ontario, Canada in Lanark County. It is situated on the north shore of the Rideau River between the town of Perth and the town of Smiths Falls. It is a predominantly rural municipality. The township offices are located in the hamlet of Port Elmsley.

Scotch Corners Wetland is a provincially significant wetland complex located in Lanark County, Ontario, Canada. The 202 hectares (500 acres) area has a wide array of wetland types including swamps, marshes, vernal pools, beaver ponds and seepage areas. It forms the headwaters of several creeks that drain into Mississippi Lake.

Perth & District Collegiate Institute (PDCI), or more commonly referred to as "PD", is the oldest secondary school in the town of Perth, Ontario. It is part of the Upper Canada District School Board. PDCI was previously known as Perth Collegiate Institute (PCI), Perth High School, and Perth Grammar School. It is located at 13 Victoria Street, Perth, Ontario, K7H 2H3.The school facilities include a science lab, art room, drama room, music room, gymnasium, football field, running track, auto shop, wood shop, weight room, fitness centre, cafeteria, auditorium, library, smartboard equipped classrooms, computer labs and a multimedia centre.

CHLK-FM, branded as 88.1 myFM, is a Canadian radio station offering an adult contemporary format with a focus on local/regional news programming broadcasting at 88.1 FM in Perth, Ontario. The station was founded by Norm Wright and Brian Perkin in 2007. The station is located at 43 Wilson Street West in the town of Perth, while the antenna is at the top of a Bell Mobility cell tower located at the edge of town on Sproule Road off Lanark Road 511, approximately 1 kilometre (0.62 miles) north of Dufferin Street (Highway 7). The station was licensed by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission on March 14, 2006 and began its first official broadcast day on August 10, 2007 at 6:00am as Lake 88.1. On December 13, 2010, the station received approval from the CRTC to increase the average effective radiated power (ERP) from 700 to 2,800 watts (maximum ERP from 1,350 to 5,400 watts with an average height of antenna above average terrain of 91.5 metres). Lake 88.1 increased its signal strength at 12:10pm on April 12, 2011. In 2014, Norm Wright retired and sold his shares to partner Brian Perkin and his wife Jennifer Perkin. CHLK-FM receives interference from WSLZ on 88.1 FM out of Cape Vincent, New York in the Westport and areas north of Kingston. On February 26, 2021, Brian Perkin (Perth FM Radio Inc.), the owner of CHLK-FM "Lake 88.1" Perth, Ontario sold the station to My Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) and was approved by the CRTC on March 12, 2021. On Monday, January 29, 2024, CHLK-FM dropped its longtime Lake 88.1 branding and rebranded the station as 88.1 myFM retaining the adult contemporary format.

Matheson House is a historic house in Perth, Ontario, Canada. It was constructed in 1840 for Roderick Matheson, a local merchant and later a member of the Senate of Canada.A two-storey, five-bay sandstone house of Palladian-inspired design, Matheson House is surrounded by a stone garden wall. After Roderick Matheson's death in 1873, the house was inherited by Arthur James Matheson, a lawyer and member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. After a series of subsequent owners, the house was acquired by the municipality and became the Perth Museum. The house was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1966.

Perth is a town in Eastern Ontario, Canada. It is located on the Tay River, 83 kilometres (52 mi) southwest of Ottawa, and is the seat of Lanark County.

Mississippi Lake is a lake in Lanark County in Ontario, Canada, about 60 km southwest of Ottawa. It is a shallow and narrow lake, about 10 m deep at its deepest, 16 km in length, and less than one km wide in most places. Around the shoreline are over 1,000 homes, ranging from small cabins, to larger vacation homes, to full-time residences, many of them accessed by private roads. There are also several campground resorts, with RVs, waterfront condos, or rentals.

Lanark is an unincorporated community and former village in the municipality (and incorporated township) of Lanark Highlands, Lanark County, in Eastern Ontario, Canada. It was a separate village municipality from 1862 until May 14, 1997, when it merged with Lavant Dalhousie and North Sherbrooke Township and Lanark Township to form the Township of North West Lanark (which became the Township of Lanark Highlands in July 1997).

The Clyde River is a river in Lanark County in Eastern Ontario, Canada. It is in the Saint Lawrence River drainage basin, is a left tributary of the Mississippi River, and was named after the River Clyde in Scotland.

The CFS Carp Richardson Detachment was a military operated radio communications transmitter station linked by landline to CFS Carp located off Lanark County Road 10 East of Perth, Ontario. The detachment was built with a hardened two story underground bunker built to accommodate the Signals personnel needed to operate the transmitter in case of war, as well as a mess hall, sleeping quarters, offices, decontamination facilities, and its own power generation facilities. Its location was chosen to be far enough away from CFS Carp to ensure survivability in the case of a nuclear strike against CFS Carp, and to reduce the risk of interference from its twenty powerful radio transmitters.Separate radio receiver detachments were located and administered by CFS Carp in the region; the CFS Carp Almonte Detachment and the CFS Carp Dunrobin Detachment were linked to CFS Carp by land line also.
