O'Brien Institute

Marino House and gardens was a Georgian house and estate in Marino in the northern suburbs of Dublin, Ireland, constructed sometime around 1755 and later remodeled by Sir William Chambers for the 1st Earl of Charlemont. Chambers later also designed Charlemont House on nearby Rutland Square (now Parnell Square) for Lord Charlemont. The house, which was demolished in the 1920s, was named for Marino in modern day Italy, which the Earl visited on his grand tour of Europe. The later suburb of Marino took its name from the house and estate.

The Casino at Marino is a small summer or pleasure house, located in Marino, Dublin, Ireland. Sometimes erroneously described as a folly, it was designed by Scottish architect William Chambers for James Caulfeild, the 1st Earl of Charlemont, starting in the late 1750s and finishing around 1775. It is a good example of Neo-Classical architecture, situated in the gardens of Marino House. Although proud of the design, Chambers was never able to visit the completed building, as he was constantly employed in England.

Ardscoil Rís (meaning [[]] High School) is a boys' secondary school on Griffith Avenue, Dublin, Ireland. The school caters for approximately 570 students every year. According to the 2015 Central Applications Office (CAO) statistics, 96% of Ardscoil Rís students continued on to third level education (e.g. college or university) in 2015. This was the highest rate for any school in Dublin 9 and its surrounding areas. In 2015 the school sent 32 pupils to DCU, more than any other school in the state bar the Institute of Education. As a percentage of students taking the Leaving Certificate the figure is the highest for any school in the state. In 2005 and following years, as a percentage of students taking the Leaving Certificate exam, the school topped the list of students provided to DCU. More than two thirds of all Leaving Certificate students went on to third level education that year.Ardscoil Rís started out in the O'Brien Institute, which functioned as a private school, in 1969. Under the principalship of Brother Carberry the new school incorporated the existing second-level students from the old school and day pupils from the surrounding area. The school was under the trusteeship of the Christian Brothers. However, they withdrew from direct work in education in Ireland in September 2006 and the school passed into the trusteeship of the Edmund Rice Schools Trust, established by the Brothers.

St Vincents is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Marino, on the northside of Dublin, Ireland. The club was founded in 1931 in Marino, although its club grounds were in Raheny for a number of years, but it moved to its home back into Marino in 1987. St Vincents merged with Marino Camogie Club in 1997 to form the St Vincents Hurling, Football and Camogie Club. They have won the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship on three occasions, most recently in 2014. They are the most successful side in the Dublin Senior Football championship having won the title 29 times. The club has also won 13 Dublin Senior 1 camogie titles (6 as Marino) and completed a three in a row in 2015–2017.

Na Gaeil Óga, CLG are a Dublin GAA, Irish-speaking gaelic football, hurling and camogie club based in St. Catherines Park, Lucan and Phoenix Park, Co. Dublin founded in 2011. An underage structure was founded in 2014 catering for girls and boys in hurling, camogie and football.

Mount Temple Comprehensive School is a secondary school in Clontarf, Dublin, Ireland. The school operates under the patronage of the Church of Ireland Archbishop of Dublin, and has, as a primary objective, the provision of state-funded second-level education to the Protestant population of northern Dublin, while accepting pupils of all religions, and none. The school was established in 1972 following the amalgamation of Mountjoy School, Hibernian Marine School in coastal Clontarf, and Bertrand & Rutland School.

Fairview (Irish: Fionnradharc) is an inner coastal suburb of Dublin in Ireland, in the jurisdiction of Dublin City Council and in the city's D03 postal district. Part of the area forms Fairview Park, a recreational amenity laid-out on land reclaimed from the sea.

Marino (Irish: An Mairíne) is an inner suburb on the Northside of Dublin, Ireland. It was built, in a planned form, on former grounds of Marino House, in an area between Drumcondra, Donnycarney, Clontarf, and what became Fairview. The initial development featured around 1,300 concrete-built houses. The design of the new Marino development was heavily influenced by the Garden City Movement, which originated in the United Kingdom with Sir Ebeneezer Howard. Howard's idea came from 19th century writings which inspired him to build the opposite of the general urban conditions that existed at the time, hence building the "Garden City", to be "a perfect combination of rural and urban living". His book, To-morrow, a Peaceful Path to Real Reform (1898), was reprinted in 1902 titled Garden Cities of Tomorrow.

Marino Crescent (Irish: An Corrán, meaning 'The Sickle') is a Georgian crescent of 26 houses at the junction of Marino, Fairview and Clontarf in Dublin 3, Ireland. It is the only Georgian crescent in Dublin.

Marino Institute of Education (Irish: Institiúid Oideachais Marino) is an Irish College of Education, an associated College of Trinity College Dublin. It is located on Griffith Avenue, Dublin 9. Marino Institute of Education is focused on providing education courses. Its degrees and diplomas are awarded by the University of Dublin, Trinity College. Marino Institute of Education follows the tradition of care through education established by Edmund Rice. Marino Institute of Education comprises the College of Education, the Conference Centre, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and various support services.

Clontarf Road railway station (Irish: Bóthar Chluain Tarbh) is a railway station in Dublin, Ireland, on the DART commuter rail line.

St Joseph's Fairview, sometimes St Joseph's C.B.S., and previously St Joseph's Secondary Christian Brothers' School, is a boys' secondary school in Fairview, Dublin, Ireland. The school was in the patronage of the Irish Christian Brothers and the patron is now the Edmund Rice Schools Trust.
