Zagoryansky

The Ucha (Russian: Уча́) is a river in Moscow Oblast, Russia. It is a left tributary of the Klyazma. The construction of the Moscow Canal has separated the upper course of the Ucha from its lower course. The Ucha is 42 km in length, with a drainage basin of 605 km². It flows through the towns of Pushkino and Ivanteyevka, and flows into the Klyazma at the town of Shchyolkovo. Tributaries: Serebryanka, Akulovka, Samoryadovka, Razderikha.

The 2017 Ivanteyevka school shooting was a school shooting and attempted bombing that occurred in Ivanteyevka in Moscow Oblast on the morning of September 5, 2017. When ninth-grader Mikhail Pivnev entered the building of "Educational Center No. 1", where he was a student and opened fire from an air rifle, and then detonated homemade explosive devices. As a result of the attack, four people were injured - an IT teacher, whom the teenager hit in the head with a cleaver and shot in the face, as well as three school students who jumped out of the window of the educational institution. Pivnev was detained by law enforcement officers. A psychological and psychiatric examination established the teenager's sanity at the time of the attack. On February 15, 2019, the Ivanteevsky City Court of the Moscow Region, having found the "Ivanteevsky shooter" guilty of attempted murder of two or more persons and hooliganism, sentenced him to 7 years and 3 months of imprisonment in a correctional colony, and also imposed an additional penalty in the form of a fine of 20 thousand rubles. Among other things, the court satisfied the victims' claims for compensation for material and moral damages in the total amount of more than 2 million rubles. The Ivanteyevka incident was the first time in Russian history that an attack on an educational institution was carried out by a copycat of Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, the perpetrators of the Columbine High School massacre on April 20, 1999. The incident, as well as the fact that the attacker was inspired by the actions of American mass murderers, caused a wide public outcry and led to the emergence of a number of legislative initiatives: in particular, a federal law was passed banning “Columbine communities” on social networks and other Internet resources that incite children to commit suicide and commit crimes. Similar incidents would follow: on 19 January in Ulan-Ude, 18 April in Sterlitamak, on 15 January 2018 in Perm, on 19 January of the same year in Ulan-Ude, on 18 April in Sterlitamak. And May 28, 2019 in Volsk.

Shchyolkovsky District (Russian: Щёлковский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the thirty-six in Moscow Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 704.88 square kilometers (272.16 sq mi). Its administrative center is the city of Shchyolkovo. Population: 193,629 (2010 Census); 211,560 (2002 Census); 101,216 (1989 Census). The population of Shchyolkovo accounts for 57.0% of the district's total population.

Ivanteyevka (Russian: Иванте́евка) is a town in Moscow Oblast, Russia, located on the Ucha River 20 kilometers (12 mi) northeast of Moscow. Population: 82,827 (2021 Census); 58,626 (2010 Census); 51,454 (2002 Census); 53,140 (1989 Census).

Bolshevo railway station is a railway station in Moscow Oblast, Russia. It is located on the Mytishchi-Fryazino section of the Yaroslavsky suburban railway line. It is part of the Naukograd, or science city, of Korolyov.

Shchyolkovo (Russian: Щёлково, IPA: [ˈɕːɵlkəvə]) is a city and the administrative center of Shchyolkovsky District in Moscow Oblast, Russia, located on the Klyazma River (Oka's tributary), 20 kilometers (12 mi) northeast of Moscow. Population: 134,211 (2021 Census); 110,411 (2010 Census); 112,865 (2002 Census); 109,255 (1989 Census); 91,000 (1977).

Podmoskovie Stadium, situated in the suburb of Shchelkovo some 15 km from the centre of Moscow, is one of the oldest stadia in Russia. The Russian word Podmoskovye means "Moscow Region". Built in 1928, it underwent a refurbishment in 2003 to modernise its facilities. As part of the preparations for the 2006 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Championship, the stadium received new seating areas, improved floodlighting and brought its VIP and press areas in line with international standards.

Yubileyny (Russian: Юбиле́йный) was a town in Moscow Oblast, Russia, located 7 kilometers (4.3 mi) northeast of the Moscow Ring Road by Yaroslavl Highway, on the Klyazma River. It was merged into the surrounding city of Korolyov effective June 2014. Population: 33,237 (2010 Census); 30,837 (2002 Census).

Bolshevo (Russian: Бо́лшево) is the area of the city of Korolyov (an industrial city in Moscow Oblast, Russia, well known as the cradle of Soviet and Russian space exploration), the historical part of it. It was founded as an independent town in 1573. It is best known as giving the name of Bolshevo railway station which is located on Yaroslavsky suburban railway line, Moscow. In 2019 the exhibition Station Bolshevo: the crossroads of fate, 1939 commemorated a notebook of the poet Marina Tsvetaeva which contains translations she made of 12 poems by Mikhail Lermontov into French whilst in Bolshevo. A second notebook belonging to Sergei Durylin was also featured. This contained chapters from his book In His Own Corner which covered his stay in Bolshevo, also in 1939.

On 17 August 2016, two armed men with axes and firearms attacked the traffic police station on Shchelkovskoye highway near Moscow. Both the attackers were shot dead by police.

The Serebryanka (Russian: Серебрянка) is a river in Moscow Oblast, Russia, a tributary of the Ucha. It flows through Pushkinsky District. The river starts in the village of Stepankovo and ends in Pushkino city, where it is confined by a levee near its mouth. There is a boat station on the river that holds rowing competitions. The total length of the river is 13 km.

Balashikha (Russian: Балашиха, IPA: [bəlɐˈʂɨxə]) is a city in Moscow Oblast, Russia, located on the Pekhorka River 1 kilometer (0.62 mi) east of the Moscow Ring Road. Population: 520,962 (2021 Census); 215,494 (2010 Census); 147,909 (2002 Census); 135,841 (1989 Census).
