WRBS-FM (95.1 MHz, "Bright-FM") is a radio station in Baltimore, Maryland, serving the Baltimore metropolitan area. The station broadcasts a contemporary Christian radio format and is owned by Peter & John Radio Fellowship, Inc.WRBS-FM has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 50,000 watts, the maximum permitted for non-grandfathered FM stations in this region. Its studios and transmitter are co-located off Commerce Drive near Interstate 95 in Halethorpe, Maryland, using a Baltimore address. WRBS-FM broadcasts using HD Radio technology. The HD2 digital subchannel rebroadcasts the Christian CHR format, branded as "Positive Hits". The HD3 digital subchannel rebroadcasts the Christian talk and teaching programs heard on co-owned WRBS (1230 AM).

Halethorpe is an unincorporated community in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. The community is considered to be a sub-section of Arbutus by the United States Census Bureau. It is bordered by the main portion of Arbutus to the north, Baltimore to the North East, Elkridge to the South West, and Linthicum to the East. It is southeast of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

Arbutus is an unincorporated community and a census-designated place in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. The population was 20,483 at the 2010 census. The census area also contains the communities of Halethorpe and Relay, in which all three names were used during the 1960 census when the area had a population of 22,402.

Halethorpe station is a passenger rail station located in the unincorporated community of Halethorpe, Maryland on the Northeast Corridor. MARC Penn Line trains serve the station; Amtrak trains pass through but do not stop.Halethorpe station is located along Southwestern Boulevard (US 1) beneath a bridge for Francis Avenue, which also contains a staircase leading between the station and the bridge. A long parking lot between US 1 and the railroad tracks spans from north of the Washington Boulevard interchange to south of Tom Day Boulevard. South of Halethorpe, the Penn Line crosses under the MARC Camden Line east of the St. Denis station. The vicinity is considered an excellent spot for railfanning due to its proximity to Baltimore and its location at a point that sees CSX Capital Subdivision, Baltimore Terminal Subdivision, and Old Main Line Subdivision freight traffic.The station serves the University of Maryland Baltimore County two miles away. UMBC's Halethorpe/Satellite Transit Line provides a bus connection from the campus to the station. Additional communities include Arbutus, Catonsville, and Violetville.

Oaklee is a neighborhood in the Southwest District of Baltimore, located at the city's edge between the neighborhoods of Irvington and Violetville. Its boundaries are triangle-shaped, with the Baltimore County line forming its southwestern base. From the triangle's apex to the northeast, U.S. Route 1 branches off from Wilkens Avenue to form the neighborhood's southeastern boundary, while Wilkens draws its northwestern edge from the apex to the base.

Violetville (also known as the Village of Violetville) is a neighborhood in Southwest Baltimore, Maryland and Baltimore County. The community is characterized by its "well-kept 1950s and 60s era rowhouses and older farmhouses that date back to the turn of the previous century."In 1958, the community united to form a strong and feisty community association. Filbert Field (what is currently known as Violetville Park) was established and various recreational programs were created. Violetville became known for its intense Little League competition, for outspoken members of its community association, and for an enthusiasm for outdoor Christmas lights. In the spring, a parade and street fair celebrate the beginning of the Little League and softball seasons. Violetville was named "Best Neighborhood in Baltimore" by the City Paper in 2005. The Baltimore Sun named Violetville a "Hidden Gem" community in the November 13, 2009, edition of the paper. In 2006, the Violetville Community Association voted to allow residents of the Baltimore City neighborhood of St. Agnes to join the association. In 2019, several neighbors in Violetville formed a new community wellness association called, Village of Violetville, Inc.

Lansdowne Christian Church (LCC, also known as Hull Memorial) was established in 1903 in Lansdowne, Maryland. Part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) denomination, Lansdowne Christian Church is located at 101 Clyde Avenue, Lansdowne, Baltimore, Maryland 21227 in southwest Baltimore County, on the southwestern outskirts of the City of Baltimore. Rev. J. B. DeHoff was the first pastor in the early 20th century. The church is currently led by the Rev. Trent Owings. Weekly services are held each Sunday morning according to the longtime traditions of the Christian Church and Disciples of Christ, a major mainline Protestant denomination in America. Special holiday services are held as well. Community outreach events in the surrounding neighborhood of Lansdowne, plus adjacent Halethorpe, Relay, Arbutus, English Consul, Baltimore Highlands,and Elkridge. Further north in the city of Baltimore are Lakeland, Morrell Park, Violetville. Many events and activities are conducted in collaboration with other local community churches. A Summer Concert series has conducted monthly concerts since 2004 with performers from the state capital of Annapolis and neighboring counties.

Heavy Seas Beer is brewed by Clipper City Brewing Company, in Baltimore, Maryland. The brewery was established by Hugh Sisson in 1995. Previously, Sisson operated Maryland's first brewpub, Sisson's. In 2010, the brewery rebranded. While the name of the company remains Clipper City Brewing Company, all of its beer falls under the Heavy Seas brand. Heavy Seas hosts tours on most weekends. It is located at 4615 Hollins Ferry Road, Suite B, in the Halethorpe section of Baltimore County. Heavy Seas currently offers a variety of beer styles in approximately 18 states within the United States. Several Heavy Seas beers have been awarded and include the following: Cutlass Amber Lager (a repeat medal winner at the Great American Beer Festival from 2006–2010, bronze medal winner at the 2010 World Beer Cup and silver medal winner at the 2012 World Beer Cup as Heavy Seas Märzen), Powder Monkey Pale Ale (silver medal winner at the 2008 Great American Beer Festival and bronze medal winner at the 2010 World Beer Cup as Heavy Seas Pale Ale), Small Craft Warning Uber Pils (bronze medal winner at the 2004 Great American Beer Festival), Gold Ale (gold medal winner at the 2010 World Beer Cup, bronze medal winner at the 2010 Great American Beer Festival and bronze medal winner at the 2014 Great American Beer Festival as Heavy Seas Gold Ale) and Winter Storm Imperial ESB (gold medal winner at the 2008 World Beer Cup).

Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland is a full-service teaching hospital located at 900 S. Caton Avenue. It is licensed and accredited with a Gold Seal of Approval from the Joint Commission, is designated as an American Society for Bariatric Surgery Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence and is a Level IIIB Perinatal Referral Center for Maryland. St. Agnes Hospital is a member of Ascension Health, the largest non-profit health care organization in the nation.

Seton Keough High School was an all-girls college preparatory private, Roman Catholic high school in Baltimore, Maryland. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Baltimore, at 1201 Caton Avenue. It was founded in 1988 after the joining of the two schools, Archbishop Keough High School and Seton High School. Seton Keough was a community of faith, integrity, and compassion that sent forth women of honor. The school closed in June 2017.

Saint Agnes is a neighborhood in the Southwest District of Baltimore, located between the neighborhoods of Irvington (north) and Violetville (south). Its boundaries are marked by Wilkens Avenue (south), Caton Avenue (east) and Loudon Park Cemetery (northwest). Saint Agnes Hospital is located on the opposite side (south) of Wilkens Avenue.

The Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena (formerly the UMBC Event Center) is a basketball arena, concert and multi-purpose event venue on the campus of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) in Catonsville, Maryland. It is the home of the UMBC Retrievers men's and women's basketball teams as well as the volleyball team and serves as a replacement to the Retriever Activities Center (RAC). It has a capacity of 5,000 seats, approximately 1,000 more than the RAC, and is the campus venue for all commencements and concerts. Construction began in March 2016, with an estimated cost of $67 million. Although the venue was originally supposed to be completed in time for the beginning of the Fall 2017 semester and the start of the 2017–18 athletic season, due to delays it officially opened for the February 3 men's basketball game against Vermont.The U.S. professional wrestling promotion Ring of Honor (ROH) frequently used the arena during the period it was owned by Sinclair Broadcasting, which is based in nearby Hunt Valley. This included television tapings during the COVID-19 pandemic, which were held behind closed doors.On April 19, 2021, the UMBC Events Center changed its name to the Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena after signing a 15-year deal for arena naming rights.
