Lombard Street Bridge is a historic truss bridge located at Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is an 88-foot cast iron span consisting of three lines of trusses—two outer trusses of composite cast and wrought iron in a diagonal Pratt design and a center composite bowstring truss of Pratt-system web. It was designed in 1877 by engineer Wendel Bollman (1814–1884). The center bowstring is actually a bifurcated cast iron water main. This design for a bridge carrying a water line as a component of the truss bridge support itself is a unique design element of this bridge.The bridge was dismantled and placed into storage in 1975, after it was judged that it could not handle the increased traffic on Lombard Street. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

University of Maryland Rehabilitation & Orthopaedic Institute is a rehabilitation hospital located along the border of the Forest Park neighborhood of northwest Baltimore City and Woodlawn in Maryland. It lies on and is incorporated into the historic hospital building and grounds of the former James Lawrence Kernan Hospital. The hospital is now part of the University of Maryland Medical System, on the campus of the University of Maryland at Baltimore.

Franklintown Historic District is a national historic district in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is the result of a plan developed in 1832 by William H. Freeman (1790–1863), a local politician and entrepreneur. His plan evolved gradually over the course of several decades and owes its success to his untiring promotion of the village. The central feature is an oval plan with radiating lots around a central wooded park. The district includes an old stone grist mill known as Franklin Mill, the innovative radiating oval plan, and the associated hotel and commercial area. The key residential buildings are excellent examples of the "I"-house form and display steeply pitched cross gables found in vernacular rural buildings throughout much of Maryland.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

Carrie Murray Nature Center (CMNC) is operated by Baltimore City Recreation and Parks. CMNC offers environmental education programs for children, families, and adults as Baltimore City's only nature center. A native live animal collection, outdoor bird aviary, and indoor exhibits are features of the center, which is nestled in the expansive and historic Gwynns Falls/Leakin Park, the largest urban forested park east of the Mississippi River. The nature center serves an estimated 30,000 visitors annually, including individuals and families as well as groups from schools, faith-based groups, recreation centers, and camps. During the school year, the nature center offers field trips and outreach programs for students of all ages, including the Forest Preschool at Carrie Murray Nature Center, a forest immersion program for preschool-age children. The nature center also offers summer camps, public programs, special events, and volunteer opportunities.

The Lorraine Park Cemetery Gate Lodge is a historic gatehouse located near Woodlawn, Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. It is a 1+1⁄2-story, Queen Anne–style stone-and-frame building designed by Baltimore architect Henry F. Brauns that was constructed in 1884. Adjacent to the house are the ornate cast-iron and wrought-iron Lorraine Cemetery gates.The Lorraine Park Cemetery Gate Lodge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Gwynn Oak Park is a park that was the site of a privately owned amusement park, located in the community of Gwynn Oak, just outside northwest Baltimore, Maryland, in Baltimore County. The 64-acre (260,000 m2) park is at the corner of Gwynn Oak and Gwyndale avenues, about a quarter mile off of Liberty Heights Avenue. The amusement park, which existed from 1893 until 1973, was the site of protests against racial segregation due to a whites-only admissions policy.

Howard Park P.S. 218, also known as School 7, is a historic elementary school located at Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is an early 20th-century brick school building located in the intact historic west Baltimore neighborhood of Howard Park. The earliest school building was constructed in 1908 and enlarged in 1913, 1936, and in 1957. The older sections are built of brick and accented with limestone details. It continued to function as a school until 1980.Howard Park P.S. 218 was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

St. Mary's Episcopal Church, also known as the Church of St. Mary the Virgin, is an historic rectangular-shaped Carpenter Gothic style Episcopal church located at 5610 Dogwood Road in Woodlawn, Baltimore County, Maryland. Designed by the Baltimore architectural firm of Dixon and Carson, it was built in 1873. Its steeply pitched gable roof, board and batten siding, lancet windows and arched side entry way are all typical features of Carpenter Gothic churches.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Lorraine Park Cemetery is a cemetery located in Baltimore, Maryland. It rests on about 60 acres (240,000 m2) of land. Formerly known as Lorraine Farm, the exact date of its founding is not entirely known - however, it may have been founded as early as 1872. Founded by Reverend William Prescott Webb, most of its acreage was sold to the Lorraine Cemetery Company in 1884. The first interment was a lady named Margaret Rand, in 1883 and by 1900, it had over 700 interments. The cemetery served as the preferred resting place for the area's Chinese community for many years. At one point the cemetery went bankrupt and was purchased by Charles Blackburn Sims. Upon his purchasing the cemetery, it began to take on its present appearance. Construction on the cemetery's mausoleum began in the late 1920s and ended in 1973.The cemetery contains three British war graves of World War II - a Royal Navy Seaman, a Merchant Navy Master, and a Royal Artillery Gunner.On September 12, 1976, the body of an unidentified young woman was found face first wrapped in a sheet and a seed bag and 2 bandanas with eye and mouth holes cut in them over her face. She had been raped, strangled and bound then thrown into the cemetery, or killed in a different location and then dumped there. The case was featured on America's Most Wanted, and although the murder remains unsolved, DNA evidence proved in September 2021 that she was Margaret Fetterolf, a 16-year old girl who had run away from home in the summer of 1975.

Gwynns Falls/Leakin Park is a park in Baltimore, Maryland. It is the second-largest woodland park in the United States, constituting a contiguous area of 1,216 acres (492 ha). Envisioned as a "stream valley park" to protect Baltimore's watersheds, including the Gwynns Falls, from overdevelopment and to preserve their natural habitats. It is well known for the fact that over 75 bodies have been discovered in the park since the 1940s. It is also home to the Baltimore Herb Festival.Leakin Park, designated as part of the Baltimore National Heritage Area, is managed and maintained by the Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks, assisted and supported by volunteers.
