Amaliegade 45 is a Neoclassical property situated at the northern end of Amaliegade in the Frederiksstaden district of central Copenhagen, Denmark. It is part of a row of adjoining buildings constructed at the site by master builder Andreas Hallander in the 1780s but owes its current appearance to an adaptation most likely undertaken by Jørgen Henrich Rawert in 1801. The building was owned by the painter Martin Rørbye's parents from 1817. His first significant painting, View from the Artist's Window, from c. 1825, shows the view from the family's apartment on the second floor. It was listed on the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1918.

Notable former residents include the diplomat Peder Blicher Olsen and the military officer Philipp Wörishöffer. Julius F. Schierbeck's Eftf., a ship-chandler's business, was later, from 1859 until at least the 1950s, based in the building. It was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1945.

Amaliegade 40, formerly known as Toldbodbørsen, is a Neoclassical property located at the corner of Amaliegade (No. 49) and Esplanaden (No. 48) in the Frederiksstaden district of Copenhagen, Denmark. The shipping company D/S Norden was based in the building for more than one hundred years. It was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1918.

It oversees the legal and political frameworks for reliable, affordable and clean supply of energy in Denmark.

Churchillparken (English: Churchill Park) is a public park in Copenhagen, Denmark, occupying a tract of land between Kastellet, a 17th-century fortress, and the street Esplanaden. Located on the former esplanade which used to surround Kastellet, the area has a long history as a greenspace but received its current name in 1965 to commemorate Winston Churchill and the British assistance in the liberation of Denmark during World War II. St. Alban's Church, the Anglican church in Copenhagen, and the Museum of Danish Resistance are located within the boundaries of the park. Access to Kastellet through its main entrance, The King's Gate, is also reached through the park.

Moreover, the Danish shipping industry exported more than 280 mio kr. in 2020 and therefore stood for 27% of the total Danish export.Danish shipping was founded in 1884 and has ever since been the core of the Danish shipping industry. Danish Shipping handles the interests of the industry and works as an employer’s association for the members with ships under the Danish Flag. To be an employer’s association in Denmark means that you are a part of the yearly negotiations on collective settlements in the type of industry you are a part of – also called the Danish Model. In other words, Danish Shipping represents and negotiates on behalf of all employers, who are members, of the shipping industry (henvis). As an interest organisation, Danish Shipping lobbies for better regulative conditions for the shipping industry, in particular, they lobby for a liberal market with healthy competition. Because of the size and strength of the organization, this means that Danish Shipping plays an active role in the political decision making, both nationally and internationally. A good example on the kind of political work that Danish Shipping has participated in is the new policy strategy “Blue Denmark”.To maintain Danish shipping’s interest internationally they are also members of the international shipping organisations ICS and ECSA, which means they are a part of all relevant situations and furthermore have a permanent office in Brussels.

Esplanaden (English: The Esplanade) is a street in Copenhagen, Denmark. It extends eastwards from Store Kongensgade and runs along the south side of the city's 17th-century fortress Kastellet and Churchillparken until it reaches the waterfront at Nordre Toldbod, just south of Langelinie, passing Amaliegade, Bredgade and Grønningen on the way. It marks the northern border of the Frederiksstaden district. It is best known as the address of the headquarters of A.P. Moller-Maersk, the largest shipping company in the world. In Danish media and daily usage, the street name is often used as a metonym for company's top management.

The Jan von Osten House (Danish: Jan von Ostens Gård) is a listed Baroque style property at the corner of Amaliegade with Toldbodgade in the Frederiksstaden neighbourhood of central Copenhagen, Denmark. The building was the city home of Classen from 1770 until 1792 and is still owned by and serves as headquarters of Det Classenske Fideicommis until 1970.

The Classen Library (Danish: Det Classenske Bibliotek) was a public library in Copenhagen, Denmark, created from the private book collection of Johan Frederik Classen at the time of his death in 1792. It was the third largest library in the city, surpassed only by the Royal Danish Library and Copenhagen University Library and existed until 1867 when it was merged with the latter. Its building at 38 Amaliegade now houses Det Konserveringsfaglige Videncenter, a centre for conservation. It was listed in 1918.

The English Terrace (Danish: De Engelske Rækkehuse) at Toldbodgade 71– 87 is a row of consecutive terraced houses in the Frederiksstaden neighbourhood of central Copenhagen, Denmark. The terrace was built in 1873–74 to design by Vilhelm Tvede for Det Classenske Fideicommis. It is listed.
