CHKX-FM is a Canadian radio station, broadcasting at 94.7 FM from Hamilton, Ontario and licensed to Hamilton/Burlington. The station airs a country format branded as KX 94.7. CHKX's studios are located on Upper Wellington Street in Hamilton, while their transmitter is located atop the Niagara Escarpment near Stoney Creek. The station cannot be reliably heard in most of the Niagara Region due to the presence of adjacent-channel interference from WNED-FM, a classical music station in Buffalo, New York.

The Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (HWDSB), formerly known as English-language Public District School Board No. 21 prior to 1999, is the public school board for the city of Hamilton. Established on January 1, 1998, via the amalgamation of the Hamilton and Wentworth County school boards, the board currently operates 93 elementary and secondary schools. The board has approximately 50,000 students in its 93 neighbourhood schools. It's also first in Canada to partner a mental health worker with police to respond to a 911 crisis call.Other services include acute care, surgical and outpatient services at three locations.

Grant Avenue Studio is a music recording studio named after its location at 38 Grant Avenue in the city of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. It was founded in 1976 by Canadian record producers and artists Bob Doidge, Daniel Lanois and Bob Lanois. The studio is known for its traditional look and intimate feel, which attracted artists such as Gordon Lightfoot, U2 and Johnny Cash.
