Delaware State Museum Buildings, also known as Old Presbyterian Church Complex, is a historic museum complex located in Dover, Delaware. The complex consists of four buildings. They are the Old Presbyterian Church, brick chapel (1880), brick gas plant office building, and the Georgian-style Eldridge Reeves Johnson Memorial Building. The Old Presbyterian Church was built in 1790, and is a two-story, three bay square brick early Federal style meeting house. Buried in the adjacent cemetery are a number of prominent Delawareans including John M. Clayton (1796-1856) and John Haslet (c. 1727–1777). The Eldridge Reeves Johnson Memorial Building houses the Johnson Victrola Museum.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

Bradford-Loockerman House, also known as the Loockerman House, is a historic home located at Dover, Kent County, Delaware. The house is in two sections; one of brick and one frame. The original section dates from 1742 and is a 2+1⁄2-story, brick, nearly square five bay structure in a First Period English(late-Medieval) / early-Georgian style. Attached is a substantial later frame addition. It fronts directly on the sidewalk with no front dooryard, but has a large and very handsome garden behind the main house and on its south side.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. It is located in the Dover Green Historic District.

John Bullen House is a historic home located at Dover, Kent County, Delaware. It was built between 1775 and 1781, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, five bay center hall plan, brick dwelling. The interior retains original woodwork in the central hall, the former dining room, and the second floor south bedroom. The Farmers' Bank of Delaware purchased the house in 1959.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

First State Heritage Park is Delaware's first urban "park without boundaries" linking historic and cultural sites in Dover, Kent County, Delaware, the city that has been the seat of state government since 1777. It is a partnership of state and city agencies under the leadership of Delaware State Parks. Delaware was the first state to ratify the United States Constitution. The sites of the park highlight Delaware's role as the First State. First State Heritage Park is open year-round, with special tours of the sites given the first Saturday of each month.

Duck Creek Hundred is a hundred in Kent County, Delaware, United States. Duck Creek Hundred was formed in 1682 as one of the original Delaware Hundreds. Its primary community is Smyrna.

Christ Church is a historic Episcopal church and cemetery located at S. State and Water Streets at Dover, Kent County, Delaware. It is located on one of two public squares set aside for houses of worship in the Dover town plan of 1717. The church was established as a mission church of the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel in 1704 and the building constructed in 1734. It was remodeled in 1859 and 1887. It is a brick structure composed of the original rectangular nave, surrounded by brick appendages. Adjacent to the church is the cemetery, with a number of notable burials. The cemetery includes a cenotaph to a signer of the Declaration of Independence Caesar Rodney; the actual location of Rodney's remains is unknown.The church was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. It is located in the Dover Green Historic District. It is part of the Episcopal Diocese of Delaware, which encompasses the entire state and whose current Bishop is The Right Reverend Kevin Brown.

Old Statehouse is a historic state capitol building located on The Green at Dover, Kent County, Delaware. It was built between 1787 and 1792, and is a two-story, five-bay, brick structure in a Middle Georgian style. The front facade features a fanlight over the center door and above it a Palladian window at the center of the second floor. It has a shingled side gabled roof topped with an octagonal cupola. A number of attached wings were added between 1836 and 1926. From 1792 to 1932 it was the sole seat of State government, while from 1792 until 1873 it served also as Kent County Court House.The state house was remodeled in 1873 to reflect a Victorian style and restored in 1976 to its original appearance. Extensive renovations of the State House also took place in 2007.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. It is located in the Dover Green Historic District. It is now part of the Delaware National Historic Park and a museum run by the Delaware Division of Historic and Cultural Affairs. It can be toured Monday–Saturday 9–4:30 and Sundays 1:30–4:30 free of charge.

Dover ( DOH-vər) is the capital and second-most populous city of the U.S. state of Delaware. It is also the county seat of Kent County and the principal city of the Dover metropolitan statistical area, which encompasses all of Kent County and is part of the Philadelphia–Wilmington–Camden, PA–NJ–DE–MD, combined statistical area. It is located on the St. Jones River in the Delaware River coastal plain. It was named by William Penn for Dover in Kent, England (for which Kent County is named). As of 2020, its population was 39,403.

Greenwold, also known as the Manlove Hayes House, was a historic home formerly located in Dover, Kent County, Delaware. It was built in 1863, and consisted of a 2+1⁄2-story center hall plan main house with a rear service wing. The main house was a five bay wide, stuccoed structure. It had a cross-gable roof with a bracketed cornice. The house featured a full width verandah. The property retained much of its original landscaping at the time of its addition to the National Register of Historic Places.The house was built in 1863 by Manlove Hayes, a civil engineer, businessman, and local politician. The house remained in his family until 1946, when it was bought by Carl and Sarah Scull. Carl was the chief of staff at Kent General Hospital, now Bayhealth Medical Center. He died in 1950. Sarah continued to live in the house, and submitted a successful application to have it added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.She sold the home to Bayhealth in 1982, and it was used by the health system for office until about 2011, when heating and cooling costs became prohibitive. In 2020, Bayhealth proposed the demolition of Greenwold and neighboring properties for the construction of a staff parking lot. This activity commenced in August 2023.

Eden Hill is a historic home located at Dover, Kent County, Delaware, built by Delaware Colonial Supreme Court Justice Nicholas Ridgely in 1749. The house was built in two sections; a double-pile, side-hall three bay structure to the south, and a lower two bay section of two rooms to the north. The stuccoed dwelling has a gable roof on both sections. It was the home of the prominent Ridgely family, who purchased the property in 1748.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973, and was later acquired by the Delaware Department of Transportation, and later still renovated for use by the state supreme court, being occupied in the early 2010s by Ridgely's descendant, Delaware Supreme Court justice Henry du Pont Ridgely.

Dover Green Historic District is a national historic district located at Dover, Kent County, Delaware. It encompasses 79 contributing buildings centered on The Green and including most of the inhabited part of 18th century Dover. Notable buildings include the Eagle Tavern (bef. 1791), Kent County Court House (1875), Baptist Church-Dover Century Club (1852), King Dougall House and Store House, Parke-Ridgely House (1728), and a number of 19th century Italianate-style commercial buildings. Also located in the district are the separately listed Bradford-Loockerman House, Christ Church, and Old Statehouse. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. The Green also became part of First State National Historical Park on March 25, 2013, and is administered in cooperation with the National Park Service.
