Kilconly is a small rural village near Tuam which is north of Galway City in County Galway, Ireland. It is situated about 12km north west of Tuam town on the Ballinrobe road (R332).

Kilconly GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Kilconly, County Galway, Ireland. The club is a member of the Galway GAA, and is primarily focused on Gaelic football. Underage teams, up to U-18s, play in the Galway league and championships. The club competes at other levels within Galway's football competitions as well.Kilconly gained senior status for the first time in its history by becoming Galway Intermediate champions 2011.Kilconly GAA were chosen to compete in the 2010 season of Celebrity Bainisteoir, managed by Breffny Morgan (who had previously appeared on The Apprentice).In December 2017, Kilconly were forced to wait 5 months to play the Division 6 [North] league final. A Facebook post described the delay as "blatant disregard for the club player, the lifeblood of the association".

Kilgevrin (Irish: Cill Ghoibhreann) is a townland near the village of Milltown in north County Galway, Ireland. It is situated in the civil parish of Liskeevy, in the historical barony of Dunmore. Kilgevrin is 3.1 square kilometres (1.2 sq mi) in area, and is bounded on the north by the parish of Addergoole and townland of Banagher, on the east by both Banagher and Clashaghanny and on the south and west by the parish of Kilbannon and Tuam. The 17th century Down Survey records, under the name of "Killinleagh", state that the owner of Kilgevrin was provost of Tuam, a protestant. 146 acres of unprofitable land and 272 acres of profitable land were specified.John O'Donovan's field names books (of 1838) provide 3 various spellings of this townland: Kilgevrin, Cill Ghoibhrion and Killegevrin. According to this source, Kilgevrin was the property of W Jas Lynch, Toanlagee, County Galway. It is recorded as containing 767½ acres stature measure including about 163 acres of bog. An ancient fort was recorded in the north end of Kilgevrin as well as a triangulation station.In the census of 1911, there were 32 registered family names living in Kilgevrin. According to the 2011 census, there were 88 people living in 27 homes in Kilgevrin.

Cloonfush (Irish: Cluain Fois, meaning 'lawn/meadow of the stay/rest') is a townland and village located approximately two miles (3.2 km) from Tuam in County Galway, Ireland. It is substantially surrounded by River Clare, which flows into the Corrib. Adjacent villages are Kilmore, Sylane, and Killaloonty.

Belclare (Irish: Béal Chláir, meaning 'Mouth of the Plain') is a small village in County Galway, western Ireland. The village is on the R333 road approximately 7 km. from Tuam. It has a little parish church (The Church of the Sacred Heart), a small primary school, a shop, pub and post office, a community centre, a GAA pitch and a playground.

St Mary's Cathedral (Irish: Ard-Eaglais Mhuire) is a cathedral church of the Diocese of Tuam, Limerick and Killaloe in the Church of Ireland. It is located in Tuam, County Galway, in Ireland. From the 12th century until 1839, both before and after the Reformation, it was the seat of the former Archdiocese of Tuam. Most of the present structure dates from the 1870s, but parts of earlier 12th- and 14th-century structures survive within.

Tuam ( TEW-əm; Irish: Tuaim [ˈt̪ˠuəmʲ], meaning 'mound' or 'burial-place') is a town in Ireland and the second-largest settlement in County Galway. It is west of the midlands of Ireland, about 35 km (22 mi) north of Galway city. Humans have lived in the area since the Bronze Age while the historic period dates from the sixth century. The town became increasingly important in the 11th and 12th centuries in political and religious aspects of Ireland. The market-based layout of the town and square indicates the importance of commerce. The red Latin cross of the Coat of arms is representative of Tuam's importance as an ecclesiastical centre. The double green flaunches at the sides, represent the two hills or shoulders of Tuam's ancient name, Tuaim Dhá Ghualainn. The two crowns recall the High Kings, Tairrdelbach and Ruaidrí, who were based in Tuam. The broken chariot wheel is a reference to the foundation of the monastic town when St Jarlath's chariot wheel broke. The motto of the town, Tuath Thuama go Buan, translates as "Long Live the People of Tuam".

St Jarlath's Park (Páirc Iarflaith Naofa, commonly known as Tuam Stadium) is a GAA stadium in Tuam, County Galway, Ireland. It is one of the principal stadiums of Galway GAA's football teams. The ground once had a capacity of around 26,000. This has progressively been reduced for safety reasons and has most recently been reduced to 6,700.The official opening of the stadium took place on 21 May 1950. It was blessed and officially opened by the Archbishop of Tuam, Rev. Dr Walsh. The stadium opened with two games, one between Cavan and Mayo and the other between Galway and Dublin.

The Archdiocese of Tuam ( TEW-əm; Irish: Ard-Deoise Thuama) is an Latin Church ecclesiastical territory or archdiocese of the Catholic Church located in western Ireland. The archdiocese is led by the Archbishop of Tuam, who serves as pastor of the mother church, the Cathedral of the Assumption and Metropolitan of the Metropolitan Province of Tuam. According to tradition, the "Diocese of Tuam" was established in the 6th century by St. Jarlath. The ecclesiastical province, roughly co-extensive with the secular province of Connacht, was created in 1152 by the Synod of Kells. The incumbent Ordinary is Francis Duffy.
