The Westend tennis hall was a tennis centre located in the Westend district of Espoo, Finland. The tennis hall was designed by architect Jarl Eklund and completed in 1935. It was commissioned by Arne Grahn, Olympic tennis player and owner of the Hagalund manor.

Länsiväylä (the Western Highway, Swedish: Västerleden) is a motorway in the Greater Helsinki area of Finland, mainly at the Helsinki conurbation. It is part of the Finnish national road 51. The road begins in Ruoholahti in western Helsinki and continues west through the island of Lauttasaari and then across the city border to Espoo. The Länsiväylä road continues all the way throughout the southern part of Espoo. It continues as a motorway until finally crossing the border west to Kirkkonummi. At the start of Länsiväylä is the Lapinlahti bridge built in 1965, which was the longest bridge in Finland for a long time. In September 2013 the average daily traffic over the bridge was 56,710 cars, according to calculations by the city of Helsinki.Länsiväylä is perhaps the most important connection between the cities of Helsinki and Espoo. Almost all bus and private car traffic between central Helsinki and southern Espoo (such as the Tapiola and Otaniemi districts) passes along Länsiväylä. Along with the beltways Ring I and Ring III, it is one of the roads with heaviest traffic in the country. It was constructed as a motorway and compared to the beltways, has been much better suited to heavy traffic. An extensive bus rapid transit network utilizes Länsiväylä, using special bus lanes. However, the Länsimetro extension of the Helsinki Metro, which was completed in autumn 2017, replaced most bus routes on Länsiväylä. A similar road, the Itäväylä (Eastern Highway, Swedish: Österleden) begins at Sörnäinen and continues eastwards towards Sipoo.

& (until 2023 Espoo City Theatre) is a professional theatre operating in Espoo, Finland. It is maintained by the Espoo City Theatre Foundation, established in 1988. From 2017 to 2024, the theatre was led by Erik Söderblom. In 2024, Jussi Sorjanen took over as the Artistic Director. The theatre mounts its own productions and hosts up to 10 international guest performances annually. It offers subtitles through its own mobile application. An English translation is always available, and some performances also have Finnish subtitles. The theatre attracts around 30,000 visitors annually. The theatre has two main performance venues: Louhisali and Revontulihalli, both located in the Tapiola district – Louhisali in the Espoo Cultural Centre and Revontulihalli on Revontulentie.

Tapiola (Finnish) or Hagalund (Swedish) is an underground station on the western extension (Länsimetro) of the Helsinki Metro.

Tapiola (Finnish: [ˈtɑpiolɑ]; Swedish: Hagalund) is a district of the municipality of Espoo on the south coast of Finland, and is one of the major urban centres of Espoo. It is located in the western part of Greater Helsinki. The name Tapiola is derived from Tapio, who is the forest god of Finnish mythology, especially as expressed in the Kalevala.Tapiola was largely constructed in the 1950s and 1960s by the Finnish housing foundation and was designed as a garden city. It is the location of the Espoo cultural centre, the Espoo Museum of Modern Art (EMMA), the Espoo city museum, and the Espoo City Theatre. According to the Finnish National Board of Antiquities, Tapiola was the largest and most valuable example of the 1960s construction ideologies in Finland. Its architecture and landscaping that combine urban living with nature have attracted tourists ever since.

Heikintori is a shopping centre in Tapiola, Espoo, Finland. Heikintori is the second oldest shopping centre in the entire country of Finland. It includes many shops including clothes and electronics shops, many restaurants, and a barber's shop. There are about 187,000 inhabitants in Heikintori's sphere of influence. The number of households is about 81,000. The annual consumption power of the area is almost 3.1 billion euro (2006).

The so-called Hip flask houses are a group of four apartment buildings built in 1959 and 1961 in the Länsikorkee area of the Tapiola district in Espoo, Finland. The buildings have nine floors each and are 30 metres high. They were designed by architect Viljo Revell. The Hip flask houses dominate the appearance of the area and have become a sort of symbol of Tapiola. The Tapiola area is a culturally significant architecture area and the Hip flask houses are among the landmarks of the area.The two first houses, As. Oy Säästökontu and As. Oy Tornitaso were built in 1959. These two houses are the northernmost. Säästökontu was one of the first housing savings targets in Finland. The other two houses, As. Oy Tornikontu and As. Oy Nelostorni were built in 1961. The houses were referred to as the "Hip flask houses" even before they had been completed, in September 1957. The total floor area of the buildings is 3220 square metres and each floor has a surface area of 358 square metres. The lots of the buildings range from 1100 to 2050 square metres in area. The collective formed by the buildings also includes As. Oy Riistakallio built in 1961, an oblong lamella building with five floors.The slender, hexagonal form of the buildings was accomplished by building the facades as convex in the middle and bending the angles of the buildings as concave. The vertical ditches in the corners emphasise the rise of the mass. The top floors are emphasised by separate roofs. The longer facades are clad in horizontal Minerit emphasised with teak grids and window panes. The balconies are located on the inside of the outer facades and thus blend in into the facade.The buildings have seven apartment floors with seven to eight apartments per floor. The top floor of each building has a sauna, a panorama terrace, ventilation balconies and drying cabinets. The kitchens of the apartments were advanced at the time of construction, as they included kitchen hoods and the kitchen cupboards were detached from the floor. The low cupboard doors in the kitchens are made of teak.

Ainoa is a shopping centre located in Tapiola, Espoo, Finland. Its first phase was opened on 24 October 2013 in a 1979 building that housed the Tapiola Sokos department house until 2011. During the renovation, the building was extended both upwards and downwards. Ainoa has five floors and about 30 shops, such as K-supermarket, Little Bouquet Factory, Stockmann, Alko, H&M, Clas Ohlson, Cubus, Stadium, BR-Lelut and Kultajousi. The parking hall in connection with Ainoa has approximately 450 parking spaces. Ainoa has good bus connections to other parts of Espoo and the neighbouring city of Helsinki. Ainoa is accessible from the Helsinki Metro through the Länsimetro extension. In the future Ainoa will have a central parking hall with approximately 2000 parking spaces.

The Tapiola Central Tower (Finnish: Tapiolan keskustorni) is a high-rise building at the centre of the Tapiola garden city in northeastern Espoo, Finland. The tower is 49 metres (161 ft) high and has 13 floors. It has a total floor space of 5,600 m2 (60,000 sq ft). The tower was designed by architect Aarne Ervi and it was completed in 1961. Construction of the tower started in 1958. The tower was originally known as Konttoritorni ("office tower").Originally the bottom floors of the tower hosted business spaces, while the top floors hosted offices and bureaus. The twelfth floor hosted restaurant Linnunrata for a long time. Tvijälp is one of the outdoor islands in Espoo, Finland. It is located in the Linholmsfjärden sea area a couple of kilometres east from the Haukilahti boat harbour. Tvijälp belongs to the district of Westend; there is a strait about 200 metres wide between the island and mainland Westend.The surface area of Tvijälp is about 13.4 hectares. On the eastern part of the island is a narrow bay growing with club-rush, giving the island a "C" shape. The middle part of Tvijälp on the isthmus west of the bay is low ground. The northern part consists of hills growing with coniferous forests, about ten metres above sea level. The southern part has cliffs over fifteen metres high. There are beach meadows all over the island. There are remnants of former fishing culture in the nature of Tvijälp.Tvijälp belongs to the eastern archipelago of Espoo. To the northeast is Småholm and two the southwest is Varsasaari. Further our to the southeast is Vehkasaari and to the east is Korkeasaari. The island of Koivusaari in Helsinki with its boat harbour and metro station is located about two kilometres north-northeast of Tvijälp. The Hanasaari Swedish-Finnish cultural centre is located about a kilometre and a half northeast from Tvijälp. The former name of Tvijälp was Tvigölpe. In archaic Swedish the prefix tvi means "double" and gölpe means a shallow bay.: 153 There is another island named Tvijälp in the Suvisaaristo archipelago about seven kilometres west of Tvijälp in Westend.

The Espoo Cultural Centre (Finnish: Espoon kulttuurikeskus; Swedish: Esbo kulturcentrum) is a culture centre in Tapiola, Espoo, Finland. It is most famous for hosting the central library of Tapiola. Near the culture centre is the Tapiola swimming pool and the Tapiola Garden hotel. The Espoo Cultural Centre hosts arts events, hosts activities to further culture in Espoo, offers cultural and public services, and hosts parties, meetings, fairs, and private events. The cultural centre houses the Espoo musical academy, the Espoo city orchestra Tapiola Sinfonietta, the Tapiola library, the Espoo city cultural office, the Tapiola general service point, and the Espoo folk high school. Among others, the Espoo city theatre, April Jazz, the Espoo Ciné film festival, the Espoo international piano week and KuoroEspoo have hosted events in the Espoo cultural centre. According to the web page of the city of Espoo, the cultural centre is "the main stage for performing arts and cultural life in Espoo".The Espoo cultural centre is located next to the Tapiola Central Tower, between the cultural square and the central pool. The building was designed by the architect Arto Sipinen and was completed in 1989. The building has two halls: Louhisali, with 300 seats, suitable for theatre, and Tapiolasali, with 800 seats, suitable for concerts.

Taidepoliisi (Finnish for "arts police") (Swedish: Konstpolisen) is a statue designed by Pekka Kauhanen, located in Espoo, Finland, in the roundabout between Pohjantie and Ahertajantie. The statue directs the public to the Espoo Museum of Modern Art (Emma), located in the WeeGee house.The statue was revealed 4 October 2006, shortly before Emma's opening. It is cast from bronze and stands on a pedestal made of stainless steel. With the pedestal, the height of the statue is about five metres. It is part of the arts collection of the city of Espoo.The policeman in the statue has three arms, but only ten fingers in total. According to Kauhanen, "the rhythmic of Taidepoliisi's arms just requires three arms".
