The Morris School District is a comprehensive community public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade from three municipalities in Morris County, New Jersey, United States. The communities in the district are Morristown and Morris Township, along with students from Morris Plains in grades 9-12 who attend the district's high school as part of a sending/receiving relationship with the Morris Plains Schools.As of the 2018–19 school year, the district, comprising 10 schools, had an enrollment of 5,216 students and 441.4 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.8:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "GH", the third-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.In addition to its PreK-12 program, the Morris School District operates a Community School that offers an extensive adult school curriculum. The Community School also provides a before and after-school childcare program, Sunrise Sunset, for Morris School District children of busy parents. Housed in each of the district's elementary schools, Sunrise Sunset offers a supervised environment in which boys and girls can work and play before and after school. The Community School's summer program, Summer Plus, provides children with a local alternative to summer camp.

The Dr. Jabez Campfield House, also known as the Schuyler Hamilton House, is a historic, two-story, braced timber-frame colonial Georgian-style house and museum located at 5 Olyphant Place, Morristown, New Jersey. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and owned by the Morristown Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).

Morristown station is a NJ Transit rail station on the Morristown Line, located in Morristown, in Morris County, New Jersey, United States. It serves an average of 1,800 passengers on a typical weekday. Construction of the historic station began in 1912 and the facility opened November 3, 1913. A station agent and waiting room are available weekdays. The station's interior was featured in Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time" video in 1984. Just west of the station, at Baker Interlocking, the Morristown and Erie Railway branches off the NJT line. The M&E's offices and shop are here. Morristown received accessible mini-high level platforms in 2005 to make the station handicapped accessible. The eastbound ramp is near Morris Street and the westbound ramp is just west of the old freight house. Morristown station has 455 parking spaces spread across three different lots near the station.

The Ford Mansion, also known as Washington's Headquarters, is a classic 18th-century American home located at 30 Washington Place in Morristown, New Jersey that served as General George Washington's headquarters from December 1779 to June 1780 during the American Revolutionary War. The house was built in Georgian architectural style in 1774 by Jacob Ford Jr. It is now owned by the National Park Service. It was acquired by the Washington Association of New Jersey in 1873. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 15, 1966 as part of the Morristown National Historical Park.

Morristown National Historical Park is a United States National Historical Park, headquartered in Morristown, New Jersey, consisting of four sites important during the American Revolutionary War: Jockey Hollow, Ford Mansion, Fort Nonsense, and Washington's Headquarters Museum. Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church is a church in Morristown, New Jersey, USA. It was the first black congregation in Morris County, incorporated in 1843 by the Bethel Mite Society, which raised funds to construct the 1849 Carpenter Gothic church on Spring Street. Morris County was created on March 15, 1739, from portions of Hunterdon County. The county, and ultimately Morristown itself, was named for the popular Governor of the Province, Lewis Morris, who championed land ownership rights for colonists.Morristown was incorporated as a town by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on April 6, 1865, within Morris Township, and it was formally set off from the township in 1895. As of the 2020 United States census, the town's population was 20,180, an increase of 1,769 (+9.6%) from the 2010 census count of 18,411, which in turn reflected a decline of 133 (−0.7%) from the 18,544 counted in the 2000 census.

Morristown Jewish Center Beit Yisrael (acronym MJCBY) is a Conservative Jewish congregation and synagogue located in Morristown, New Jersey. It was formally incorporated in 1899, while its building was constructed in 1929.MJCBY is affiliated with Conservative Judaism although originally having started as an Orthodox congregation. It is the oldest active congregation in Morristown, having a significant historic Jewish community during its era of peak significance.

The First Presbyterian Church is located at 57 E. Park Place in the town of Morristown in Morris County, New Jersey. The congregation started worship here in 1733. It received a royal charter from George II of Great Britain in 1756. The current church building was erected in 1894. The stone building features Romanesque Revival architecture and works by Louis Comfort Tiffany. The church was added to the National Register of Historic Places, listed as a contributing property of the Morristown District, on October 30, 1973.

The Patriots' Path Council is a not-for-profit organization that establishes ideals in youth to help them make ethical choices by instilling values of good character, citizenship, personal fitness, and guidance. It serves members in the counties of Morris, Sussex, Somerset, Union, Hunterdon, and parts of Middlesex in New Jersey. It was established in 1999 with the merger of the Morris-Sussex Area Council (1936–1999) and the Watchung Area Council (1926–1999). On February 6, 2014, Patriots Path Council absorbed several Scouting units from the dissolved Central New Jersey Council (1999-2014).
