Trinity Church of England High School, also known as Trinity CE High School, is an academy school located in Hulme, Manchester, North West. The headteacher is Julian Nicholls. The school is in between Higher Cambridge Street and Boundary Lane near the University of Manchester on the Oxford Road campus. The school was formed in 1984 on the closure of Bishop Greer and Fallowfield Church of England High Schools. A substantial rebuilding project was completed in 2011 (£21million), with the new building fronting Higher Cambridge Street, which expanded the school. In 2014, the school announced a £4 million project to create a sixth form centre on site. Work began in the Summer of 2014, with the first intake in September 2016. The school takes in pupils from Manchester and surrounding areas. The school's motto is 'Faith in the City, Value in People, Excellence in Education.' The school holds Technology College status and has been designated a Leading Edge School. Notable alumni include Tina O'Brien, Coronation Street actress; Danny Welbeck, Watford F.C. footballer; Luke Matheson, Wolverhampton Wanderers ; actress Wunmi Mosaku; singer Misha B and journalist and author Keir Thomas.

The Darul Amaan Mosque is an Ahmadi Muslim mosque in Manchester, England. Located in Hulme, immediately south of Manchester city centre, the mosque is only a walking distance from the University of Manchester's South Campus. Built at a cost of over £1 million, the mosque was opened in 2012 by Caliph Mirza Masroor Ahmad, at a grand inauguration session attracting over 1,500 guests and dignitaries.

The University of Manchester Library is the library system and information service of the University of Manchester. The main library is on the Oxford Road campus of the university, with its entrance on Burlington Street. There are also ten other library sites, eight spread out across the University's campus, plus The John Rylands Library on Deansgate and the Ahmed Iqbal Ullah Race Relations Resource Centre situated inside Manchester Central Library. In 1851 the library of Owens College was established at Cobden House on Quay Street, Manchester. This later became the Manchester University Library (of the Victoria University of Manchester) in 1904. In July 1972 this library merged with the John Rylands Library to become the John Rylands University Library of Manchester (JRULM).On 1 October 2004 the library of the Victoria University of Manchester merged with the Joule Library of UMIST forming the John Rylands University Library (JRUL). The Joule Library was the successor of the library of the Manchester Mechanics' Institute (established in 1824) which later became the library of the University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology (UMIST). One of the institute's first actions was to establish a library, with a full-time librarian, at premises in King Street, Manchester. The library changed its name in the summer of 2012 to become The University of Manchester Library. The library is one of only five National Research Libraries – an award of the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE), and the only one in the north of England. It is a member of the North West Academic Libraries consortium (NoWAL) and of Research Libraries UK consortium (RLUK). RLUK was formerly the Consortium of University Research Libraries (CURL) of which the library was a founder member in the 1980s. The present university librarian and director, Christopher Pressler, is assisted by an executive team of one archivist and three librarians.

Greenheys is an inner-city area of south Manchester, England, lying between Hulme to the north and west, Chorlton-on-Medlock to the east and Moss Side to the south. Elizabeth Gaskell's first novel, Mary Barton, published in 1848, opens with a description of Greenheys, then still a rural area on the outskirts of the city. The writer Thomas De Quincey and pioneer socialist Robert Owen both lived at Greenheys House, overlooking the now culverted Cornbrook river.Manchester Science Park is here, on Pencroft Way, Lloyd Street North.

The Stephen Joseph Studio is a former German Protestant Church, now part of the University of Manchester, in Greenheys, Manchester, England. It used to lie on Wright Street (off Ducie Street), a street which no longer exists (grid reference SJ845963). It was mentioned in the Manchester Directory for 1858, with the pastor's name H. E. Marotsky (Hermann Eduard Marotsky); it should not be confused with the German Church in John Dalton Street, established by Joseph Steinthal in 1854. It was first occupied by the university in 1949 and had various uses before its use by the Department of Drama.The main entrance lies on the west side of the building, with a side entrance on the north. The east side features a rose window. The building houses seven lecture rooms, with space for up to 179 students. It is named after Stephen Joseph, the pioneer of theatre in the round. Since the late 1970s the Mansfield Cooper Building has stood to the south-west.

Alliance Manchester Business School (Alliance MBS) is the business school of the University of Manchester in Manchester, England. One of the most prestigious business schools in the United Kingdom, it is also the second oldest in the UK, and provides education to undergraduates, postgraduates and executives. According to the Financial Times 2018 Global MBA Rankings, its MBA programme is ranked 10th in Europe, 36th in the world and 4th in the UK. Its "MSc Business Analytics" programme ranked 6th in the world and 2nd in the UK; "MSc International Business and Management" 20th and "MSc Finance" 18th, as per the QS World University Ranking 2018.It includes departments from both the former Victoria University of Manchester's Faculty of Business Administration, and from UMIST.

The Arthur Lewis Building, which is named after the economist Arthur Lewis, is part of the University of Manchester's campus. It is located west of Oxford Road and south of the Manchester Business School, nearly a mile from the centre of Manchester, UK. Construction was completed in 2007, when the building was given a BREEAM 'Very Good' rating.

Manchester Museum is a museum displaying works of archaeology, anthropology and natural history and is owned by the University of Manchester, in England. Sited on Oxford Road (A34) at the heart of the university's group of neo-Gothic buildings, it provides access to about 4.5 million items from every continent. It is the UK's largest university museum and serves both as a major visitor attraction and as a resource for academic research and teaching. It has around 430,000 visitors each year.

St Anselm Hall, known colloquially as Slems, is a traditional University of Manchester hall of residence situated in Victoria Park. It was founded in 1907 by Rev. Thomas B. Allworthy on behalf of the Church of England for the theological training of male students. The Hall was later licensed by the University of Manchester as an official hall of residence in 1954, extending the capacity of students from 70 to its current 130.The Hall remained an all-male institution until 2017 when female students were admitted for the first time. Prior to this, it was the last university-owned fraternal hall of residence in the UK. The Hall is formed of the Junior Common Room, made up of undergraduates, and the Senior Common Room, made up of the Tutors, the Warden, and university academics. There are currently a number of scholarships attached to the hall. Awarded on an annual basis, these both empower the hall's student leadership and reward exceptional contributions to hall life. It was announced in August 2020 that the hall would be closed for the academic year 2020–2021. The Hall's JCR (Junior Common Room) remains active, and plans are underway to reopen for the academic year 2021–2022.

The Whitworth Building is a grade II* listed building on Oxford Road and Burlington Street in Chorlton-on-Medlock, Manchester, England. It has been listed since 18 December 1963 and is part of the University of Manchester. It lies at the south-east range of the old quadrangle of the University, with the Manchester Museum adjoined to the north, and the former Christie Library connected to the west.

The Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) is a leading conservatoire located in Manchester, England. It is one of four conservatoires associated with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. In addition to being a centre of music education, RNCM is one of the UK's busiest and most diverse public performance venues.

The Beyer building is part of the Old Quadrangle, of the University of Manchester, on Oxford Road, Manchester. The quadrangle comprises the oldest buildings of the University and was completed in 1904, prior to the Owens College becoming the Victoria University of Manchester. The original college building on Oxford Road (now called the John Owens building) was built in 1873. The Beyer building was the second side to be completed in 1887. It was funded entirely by Charles Beyer through his will of 1876. Beyer was a well known philanthropist and co-founder of Beyer, Peacock & Company, one of the world's most famous locomotive manufacturers. He was a life governor of Owens college, actively involved in the Owens College Extension Movement, and the single biggest donor to the Extension fund, which in total raised over £100,000 (£10 million today) to construct the original building at Oxford Road. The architect was Alfred Waterhouse. The building was designed to house the natural sciences (Biology, Geology) departments. It also featured state of the art laboratories and lecture theatres. It connects to the Manchester museum (the third side of the Quadrangle), which was also built in 1887, also by Waterhouse. This allowed students to access the many specimens from the museum.
