Ballerup station

Ballerup is a Danish town, seat of the Ballerup Municipality, in the Region Hovedstaden. There are approximately 25 schools in Ballerup Municipality. Ballerup has its own educational institution specialized in the study, training and research of music. It is twinned with East Kilbride in Scotland.

Ballerup Kommune (Danish: [ˈpɛˀləʁop kʰoˈmuːnə]) is a municipality (Danish: kommune) in Region Hovedstaden on the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in eastern Denmark. It is located approximately 15 kilometers from central Copenhagen. The municipality covers an area of 34.09 km², and has a population of 50,039 (1. January 2023). It is also the name of the municipal seat, Ballerup.

Ballerup Super Arena (formerly Siemens Arena) is a multi-purpose indoor arena, in Ballerup, Denmark. The velodrome has a seated capacity of 6,500. During concerts, the arena can accommodate an audience of up to 9,200. It is owned by Ballerup Municipality. The arena is also a venue for many company events, conferences, team building events, trade fairs, company sports events and cycling events. The arena was opened in 2001. In 2003, the roof collapsed, as a result of a miscalculation in design and the new roof was reinforced with cables. It's the only international indoor velodrome in the Nordic countries.

The Danish Bibliographic Centre (DBC A/S), based in Ballerup, Denmark, produces and supplies bibliographic data and information services — for example, the Danish DK5 system (DK5 Decimalklassedeling) derived from the Dewey Decimal Classification — to Danish libraries. DBC provides its data via DanBib, a joint bibliography for the entire Danish library system that includes a common reference database of national bibliography and holdings in all Danish public and research libraries. The system includes features to facilitate interlibrary loans, reuse of bibliographic data verification as well as links to relevant databases such as the Library of Congress and the ISSN system. The Danish ISBN office, which allocates the Danish ISBN prefixes 87- in the ISBN-10 case and 978-87- in the ISBN-13 case, is part of the Danish Bibliographic Centre.

The Royal Danish Air Force Academy (Danish: Flyvevåbnets Officersskole) educates and commissions all officers for the Royal Danish Air Force. The Air Force Officer Academy function was initiated in 1951 by the creation of the Royal Danish Air Force.

The Jonstrup Camp (Danish: Jonstruplejren) is a military installation in Ballerup Municipality in the northwestern outskirts of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is home to the Royal Danish Air Force Officers School, Royal Danish Airforce Library and Forsvarets rekrutering.

Frederikssundbanen is one of six radial S-train lines in Copenhagen; it connects the city center with a number of Northwestern suburbs (notably Herlev and Ballerup) and other townships until Frederikssund on the Western coast of the Nordsjælland peninsula.

Måløv is a suburb within Ballerup Municipality, closely attached to Smørumnedre approx. 20 km. west of Copenhagen, in the Capital region, with a population of 8,693 (2023). The suburb is made up by single-family houses and a housing project. 93% of the inhabitants are native Danes. The suburb is connected with the S-train and Måløv station serves commuters from both Måløv and Smørumnedre. Måløv is considered to be founded in 1193.

Jonstrup is a suburban neighbourhood situated in Furesø Municipality on the west side of Hareskoven forest in the northwestern outskirts of Copenhagen, Denmark. The original village has merged with the neighbouring villages of Måløv in Ballerup Municipality and Smørumnedre in Egedal Municipality to form an urban agglomeration with a population of 21,353 (2023). The neighbourhood is separated from Måløv by Mølledalen, Møllemosen, and Værebro å.

Vestskoven (lit. "The West Forrest") is a 13 km2 forest located in the western suburbs of Copenhagen, Denmark.
