Corson's Inlet State Park

Corson Inlet is a narrow strait on the southern coast of New Jersey in the United States.Corson Inlet leads from the Atlantic Ocean through barrier islands off the northeast coast of Cape May County, New Jersey. The Inlet separates Ocean City, New Jersey, from Strathmere, New Jersey. The United States Navy seaplane tender USS Corson, in commission from 1944 to 1946 and 1951 to 1956, was named for Corson Inlet.Corson's Inlet State Park borders the strait. The inlet and adjacent dunes were a favorite place for the amblings of American poet A.R. Ammons, resulting in one of his best known poems, "Corsons Inlet". The passing of automobiles to Corson's inlet has naturally left giant, mogul-like bumps in the road, oddly evenly spaced, all reaching the same height and depth (approx. 3 feet).

Strathmere is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Upper Township in Cape May County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the CDP's population was 137, a decrease of 21 (−13.3%) from the 158 counted at the 2010 U.S. census, which reflected a decrease of 17 (−9.7%) from the 175 enumerated at the 2000 census.With its beaches in the Strathmere section, Upper Township is one of five municipalities in the state that offer free public access to oceanfront beaches monitored by lifeguards, joining Atlantic City, North Wildwood, Wildwood, and Wildwood Crest.

Palermo is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located in Upper Township, in Cape May County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Palermo is located 14 mi (23 km) northeast of Cape May Court House. The Palermo Air Force Station, closed in 1970, was located south of Palermo.

WWAC (1020 AM) is a commercial radio station licensed to Ocean City, New Jersey, and serving the Atlantic City area of the Jersey Shore. It is owned by Enrico S. Brancadora, broadcasting a country format. WWAC is co-owned with WIBG-FM, a classic hits station licensed to Avalon, New Jersey. By day, WWAC is powered at 1,900 watts, non-directional. WWAC's signal reaches from Toms River to Cape May. Because 1020 AM is a clear channel frequency reserved for 50,000 watt Class A station KDKA in Pittsburgh, WWAC must go off the air at night to avoid interference. During critical hours, WWAC is powered at 680 watts. Programming is also heard on several FM translators around the clock: W267BP 101.3 MHz in Pleasantville, and W270DV 101.9 MHz in Palermo.

Palermo Air Force Station (ADC ID: P-54, NORAD ID: Z-54) is a closed United States Air Force (USAF) General Surveillance Radar station. It was located in Palermo, New Jersey, 4.8 miles (7.7 km) north of Sea Isle City, in Cape May County, New Jersey, United States. It was closed in 1970.

The John Corson Jr. House is located at 1542 Shore Road (U.S. Route 9) in Upper Township of Cape May County, New Jersey, United States. The oldest part of the house was built around 1710. It was listed on the New Jersey Register of Historic Places in 2006. A 300-acre (120 ha) plot was purchased here, then in the Province of West Jersey, by John Corson Sr. in 1695. The property was divided between his three sons, Andrew, Jacob, and John Corson Jr., who probably built the house around 1710. After his death in 1739, his son David Corson inherited it. In 1811, he divided the property among his ten children.

The Ocean City 34th Street Station was located in Ocean City, Cape May County, New Jersey, United States. The station — a small wooden shelter with bench seating for a few passengers, located just south of 34th Street next to a rail line running down the middle of Haven Avenue — was built around 1885 by the Ocean City Railroad, which was acquired by the Atlantic City Railroad in 1901, and later by the Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines. Trains last served the station in August 1981, when service was cancelled due to poor track conditions and limited funding from the New Jersey Department of Transportation. The station was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 22, 1984, for its significance in architecture and transportation. It was subsequently damaged beyond repair when a truck backed into it, and thus demolished.

Marmora is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Upper Township, in Cape May County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It is part of the Ocean City Metropolitan Statistical Area. Its postal ZIP Code is 08223. Its 1990 population was approximately 4,420 persons. A post office was established in 1890, with James Corson as the first postmaster.
