Farka Lake

Farkë e Madhe is a village in the former municipality of Farkë in Tirana County, Albania. At the 2015 local government reform it became part of the municipality Tirana.

The University Hospital "Shefqet Ndroqi" is a tuberculosis sanatorium established in Fuat Bey Hill, Tirana in 1945. The hospital has more than 100 beds and various room types and facilities.

The Sovereign State of the Bektashi Order (Albanian: Shteti Sovran i Urdhrit Bektashi; pronounced [ʃtɛti sɔvɾan i uɾðɾit bɛktaʃi]) is a proposed European microstate and city-state that would be enclaved entirely within Tirana, the capital of Albania, at the current World Headquarters of the Bektashi. If established, it would be smaller than the Vatican City and become the sovereign state with the smallest land area in the world, with a total land area of 27 acres (11 ha). Plans for the creation of the state have been discussed by Albanian prime minister Edi Rama and supported by the leader of the Bektashi Order, Baba Mondi, with the former stating that more details for the creation of the state will be revealed in the near future. Following the Vatican model, the prospective state would grant citizenship solely to Bektashi clerics and government officials. Drafting of legislation to create the new state within Albania began in September 2024. The legislation would need approval from the Albanian Parliament via an amendment to the Constitution of Albania.

Farkë Heliport (ICAO: LAFK) is a public use heliport located in Farkë, 2 nautical miles east-southeast of Tirana, Albania. The estimated terrain elevation above sea level is 207 metres.

The World Headquarters of the Bektashi or Bektashi World Center (Albanian: Kryegjyshata Botërore Bektashiane; often simply known in Albanian as the Kryegjyshata) is the international headquarters of the Bektashi Order, a Sufi order. It is located on Dhimitër Kamarda Street at the eastern edge of Tirana city, Albania. It serves as the centre of the Albanian Bektashi Order. The headquarters also has a museum, library, and archives.

The National Martyrs Cemetery of Albania (Albanian: Varrezat e Dëshmorëve të Kombit) is the largest cemetery in Albania, located on a hill overlooking Tirana.The Mother Albania statue is located at the Cemetery. It figuratively represents the country as a mother guarding over the eternal slumber of those who gave their lives for her. The statue is made of concrete and it is a work of the sculptors Kristaq Rama, Muntaz Dhrami and Shaban Hadëri. It stands atop a 3 m pedestal; is 12 m tall and engraved on the pedestal are the words "Lavdi e perjetshme deshmoreve te Atdheut" ("Eternal Glory to the Martyrs of the Fatherland"). The cemetery was also the resting place of former leader Enver Hoxha, who was subsequently disinterred and given a more humble grave in another public cemetery. The dictator's former resting place has been occupied with the remains of Azem Hajdari, the student leader behind the fight against the regime in the late 1980s who was assassinated in Tirana in 1998.Some 900 partisans who died during World War II are buried in the cemetery.

Mother Albania (Albanian: Nëna Shqipëri) is a 12 m statue located at the National Martyrs Cemetery of Albania (Albanian: Dëshmorët e Kombit) in Albania, dedicated in 1971. The statue represents the country as a mother guarding over the eternal slumber of those who gave their lives for her. There are up to 28,000 graves of Albanian partisans in the cemetery, all of whom perished during World War II. The massive statue holds a wreath of laurels and a star. The cemetery was also the resting place of former leader Enver Hoxha, who was subsequently disinterred and given a more humble grave in another public cemetery. The statue is made of concrete and it is a work of the sculptors Kristaq Rama, Muntaz Dhrami and Shaban Hadërri. It stands atop a 3-metre pedestal; engraved on the pedestal are the words "Lavdi e përjetshme dëshmorëve të atdheut" ("Eternal glory to the martyrs of the fatherland").

Tirana District (Albanian: Rrethi i Tiranës) was one of the 36 districts of Albania, which were dissolved in July 2000 and replaced by 12 newly created counties. It had a population of 523,150 in 2001, and an area of 1,193 km2 (461 sq mi). Its territory is now part of Tirana County: the municipalities of Tirana, Kamëz and Vorë.

The Presidential Palace (Albanian: Pallati presidencial), formerly the Royal Palace (Albanian: Pallati mbretëror) and popularly known as the Palace of Brigades (Albanian: Pallati i Brigadave), is the official residence of the president of Albania. The palace was commissioned by King Zog I of the Albanians to serve as his main official residence. In 1945, it ceased to serve as a royal residence because the monarchist regime was substituted by a Communist-ruled government. Since 1946, it has been used by the Government of Albania for holding official ceremonies and state receptions. In 2013, the palace became an official residence once again, when President Bujar Nishani and his family moved into a reconstructed villa inside the grounds of the palace. Architecturally, the palace belongs to a rationalism style. It is unique in its genre, not only in the country but in the wider sphere of fascist architecture, including in Italy itself. Its bas-reliefs were covered with drapes in the 1970s during the cultural revolution, but not destroyed. Nevertheless, the palace as a whole is in dire need of restoration. A description of the then new (and unfinished) Royal Palace appeared in the issue of Life dated 22 May 1939.

Zhan D'Ark Boulevard is a boulevard of Tirana, Albania. It runs along the north bank of the river Lanë. It was named after the French heroine Joan of Arc (French: Jeanne d'Arc). Until recently, it held the name Rruga Marsel Kashen in honor of the French politician Marcel Cachin. The boulevard, along with Bajram Curri Boulevard which runs parallel to it, underwent reconstruction in 2003.

University Metropolitan Tirana, also known as the University Metropolitan Tirana is a private university located in Tirana, Albania. It was founded in 2010, by a group of architects and engineers as a university focused on information technology, engineering and architecture. With three faculties, namely the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, the Faculty of Computer Science and IT and the Faculty of Economics, University Metropolitan Tirana strives to prepare young professionals in response to the demand of the labor market but also serve to the strategic interests in economic development of the country.
