Claireville Conservation Area

Claireville is a district of Brampton, Ontario, Canada. It is the westerly extension of the Claireville neighbourhood of Toronto, west of the boundary between Toronto and Brampton. The former hamlet of Ebenezer is found within Claireville. The name Claireville originates from a nearby historical village located in Toronto, however it is now mainly associated with the Claireville Conservation Area prominent in the region, which is one of the largest natural regions in the Greater Toronto Area. Until the early 2000s, the region was largely dominated by agricultural lands with small pockets of industrial and estate residential areas. However, subdivisions are currently being developed throughout the area north of Queen Street East. Riverstone Golf and Country Club and Indian Line Campground are the only non-industrial or residential uses in the area.

Wet'n'Wild Toronto (formerly known as Sunshine Beach and later Wild Water Kingdom) is a water park in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, a city in the Greater Toronto Area. Opened in 1986, the 100-acre (0.40 km2) complex hosts a variety of attractions, including numerous water slides, a wave pool, a lazy river, a four lane zip-line and two kid's splash areas. Since becoming Wet'n'Wild Toronto, the park has established a stronger family-focus and has eliminated a number of bars and food vendors within the park confines.

Sunset Corners is a community in Vaughan, Ontario located at Ontario Highway 50 and Queen Street (Highway 7). A small pocket of un-developed land south of Highway 7, but surrounded by industrial/business parks. Costco has built a large store on Highway 7 east of Highway 50. The extension of Highway 427 will likely attract further growth of the area.

The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Etobicoke, Toronto, Ontario, Canada is a traditional Hindu place of worship that was built by the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha. The BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, which is headed by Mahant Swami Maharaj, is a global spiritual organization within the Swaminarayan branch of Hinduism. The mandir was built in 18 months and consists of 24,000 pieces of hand-carved Italian carrara marble, Turkish limestone and Indian pink stone. The mandir is the largest of its kind in Canada and was constructed according to guidelines outlined in ancient Hindu scriptures. The grounds spread over 7.3 hectares (18 acres) and in addition to the mandir, include a haveli and the Heritage Museum. The mandir is open daily to visitors and for worship. On June 26, 2023, the temple celebrated its 16-year anniversary.

Claireville (sometimes misspelled as Clairville) is a neighbourhood and former hamlet in the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the northwest corner of Toronto, in the former city of Etobicoke. Today Claireville is almost wholly industrial/commercial.

Ebenezer is a former hamlet in Brampton, in Ontario's Regional Municipality of Peel. In recent years, the locality has undergone considerable residential development.

Lincoln M. Alexander Secondary School is located in the village of Malton in the city of Mississauga, Ontario (part of the Peel District School Board). It is named after the former federal cabinet minister and Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, Lincoln M. Alexander. Founded in 1968 as Westwood Secondary School, it was renamed in 2000 after it merged with Morning Star Secondary School. After the merger the school was expanded, creating the present day Geography/Historical Studies wing. This was done in an effort to accommodate more students. The exterior of the school is architecturally almost an exact copy of Erindale Secondary School, while their interiors remain different. The high school is located on Morning Star Drive near the intersection of Morning Star Drive and Goreway Drive. Its location is central to the small community of Malton. As a result, it is not serviced by school buses except for the disabled. Adjacent to the high school is Malton Community Centre with its facilities such as a library.

Ascension of Our Lord Secondary School is located in the City of Mississauga, in Ontario, Canada. It is part of the Dufferin-Peel Board. It was originally established as a Middle School (Junior High School), but was converted to a Secondary School (High School) in the 1980s. The school building was expanded at that time to accommodate the extra students, and in the 1990s portable classrooms were added and removed as the student population expanded and contracted. In 2005 the original building was demolished and a new larger structure was built. The facility was opened to students in January 2006. In 2012, the Fraser Institute named Ascension as one of Ontario's fastest improving schools. Although a Catholic school, it is open to and welcomes students from all religious backgrounds.

Westwood Square is a shopping centre located in the Malton neighbourhood of Mississauga, Ontario. The mall is located on Goreway Drive between Etude and Morning Star Drive, approximately 1.25 km west of Highway 427. The mall is 425,000 sq ft (39,484 m2). The north side of the mall hosts a 64,000 sq ft (5,946 m2) transit terminal with 15 operational platforms servicing the cities of Brampton, Mississauga, and Toronto.

Holy Cross Catholic Academy (or Holy Cross) is a Catholic high school. It was first established in September 1986 to serve western Woodbridge, a community in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada. The school currently serves grades nine through twelve (ages 14 – 18). In 1990, the school celebrated its first graduating class. Archbishop Robert Clune blessed the building on May 2, 1990. The school's tenth anniversary was inaugurated with the planting of a tree at the front of the school, which is marked by way of a metal plaque. Holy Cross Catholic High School was converted to a Catholic Academy in 1998 due to pressures from the Ontario government (Mike Harris' Conservative government) to enhance education in technical development. Its feeder schools include St. Peter's Catholic Elementary School, St. Clement Catholic Elementary School, San Marco Catholic Elementary School, St. Margaret Mary Catholic Elementary School, and St. Angela Merici Catholic Elementary School, all in the Woodbridge area.

Goreway Power Station is a natural gas power station owned by Capital Power Corporation, in Brampton, Ontario. The plant is used primarily during periods of peak demand. Gas is supplied by underground pipelines from the nearby Enbridge facility.

CKHC-FM is a Canadian radio station, broadcasting at 96.9 FM in Toronto, Ontario. It is the campus radio station of the city's Humber College. CKHC's studios and transmitter are located at the Humber College's North Campus building on Humber College Boulevard. The station was licensed by the CRTC in 2004 as a developmental FM station. CKHC was the first radio station in Canada to voluntarily adopt a 100 per cent Canadian content playlist. In 2007, the station was approved for a campus instructional license and an increase in power. It can now be heard at a radius of 10 km (6 miles) around the Humber North campus. The station is known on-air as 96.9 Radio Humber. Programming includes a daily news magazine show @Humber, which airs Monday to Friday at noon and again at 6 p.m. Jazz from Humber's renowned music program at 8 a.m. and midnight, along with a daily sports show, Humber Sportsdrive at 5:30 p.m.
