Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park, which includes the Coe Hall Historic House Museum, is an arboretum and state park covering over 400 acres (160 ha) located in the village of Upper Brookville in the town of Oyster Bay, New York. Near the end of America's Gilded Age, the estate named Planting Fields was the home of William Robertson Coe, an insurance and railroad executive, and his wife Mary "Mai" Huttleston (née Rogers) Coe, the youngest daughter of millionaire industrialist Henry H. Rogers, who had been a principal of Standard Oil. It includes the 67-room Coe Hall, greenhouses, gardens, woodland paths, and outstanding plant collections. Its grounds were designed by Guy Lowell, A. R. Sargent, the Olmsted Brothers, and others. Planting Fields also features an herbarium of over 10,000 pressed specimens. The name "Planting Fields" comes from the Matinecock Indians who cultivated the rich soil in the clearings high above Long Island Sound.

Upper Brookville is a village located within the Town of Oyster Bay in Nassau County, on the North Shore of Long Island, in New York, United States. The population was 1,698 at the 2010 census.

Benjamin Moore Estate, also known as Chelsea, is a historic estate located at Muttontown in Nassau County, New York. It was designed in 1923–1924 by architect William Adams Delano (1874–1960) for Benjamin Moore and Alexandra Emery. The manor house is an eclectic Chinese and French Renaissance style inspired dwelling. It is "U" shaped, two and one half stories high with hipped and gable roofs, covered with concrete block on a concrete foundation. The front facade features a steeply pitched roof, four large irregularly spaced chimneys, and a large brick tourelle with a conical roof. The property also has a contributing formal garden, gatehouse, picturesque roadways, garage, conservatory, octagonal gazebo, shed and tool house, and large open lawns.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Harmony Heights Residential and Day School is a therapeutic school for girls diagnosed with emotional issues in East Norwich, New York, United States. Harmony Heights is a New York Department of Education-approved program and offers a New York State Regents diploma program in a therapeutic special educational setting. Founded in 1974, Harmony has assisted thousands of girls throughout the New York Metropolitan area (including Long Island, Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, the Bronx, Staten Island, Westchester County, and Upstate New York) in getting the help they need to heal and recover from serious emotional problems (such as severe anxiety, depression, trauma, and PTSD) that have interfered with or prevented them from benefiting from or attending traditional public schools. Harmony provides therapeutic and educational support systems, which include small class sizes; one-on-one, group, and family counseling; parent supports; Equine and Garden therapies, and Therapy Dogs. Harmony has rolling admission and students may transfer in at any time of year.The school was formerly the Mabel G. Fox School.Harmony Heights School has 75 students, ages 13 to 21, diagnosed with emotional difficulties.Tuition is regularly paid for by the school district where the student lives.Harmony Heights School has a residential program. Students enroll in either the day program or the residential program.

East Norwich (formerly known as Norwich) is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) located within the Town of Oyster Bay in Nassau County, on the North Shore of Long Island, in New York, United States. The population was 2,792 at the time of the 2020 census.

The Adam-Derby House is a notable 19th-century house, designed in the Queen Anne style, located at 166 Lexington Avenue in Oyster Bay, Nassau County, New York.

The Muttontown Preserve is a 550-acre nature preserve in Muttontown, New York.

Council Rock is located on Lake Avenue, a hundred yards south of West Main Street in Oyster Bay, New York. It was a Matinecock meeting ground and the location of a sacred council fire. In 1672, George Fox, the founder of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers), gave a sermon there during his visit to America.

The Townsend Cemetery is located atop one of the most distinguished hills surrounding Oyster Bay, New York, USA. Members of the prominent Townsend family, some of whom built and later lived in Raynham Hall, are buried here. An old fort dating from before the Revolutionary War stood on this site.

Wightman Memorial Baptist Church in Oyster Bay, New York, was first built in 1908. It is the third building on this site. The first Baptist congregation met in Oyster Bay as early as 1700, and Oyster Bay received its first ordained minister in 1724. The second church building, constructed in 1806 is still visible on the site, behind the newer structure.

St. Paul's Methodist Church was a small Methodist congregation that built their first church building on Orchard Street, Oyster Bay, New York in 1858. In 1895, Joseph B. Wright bought the building from them and continued his business there for many years. The congregation then moved to a new building on South Street which they had been working on since 1891. By 1913 the congregation had expanded. To create more room the building was raised, a basement excavated, and several rooms including a kitchen were built. In the 1920s, a forty-foot bell tower that had been damaged by lightning had to be demolished. North Shore Church bought the structure in 1999, and services are being held there today.
