CJTW-FM is a Canadian radio station, broadcasting at 93.7 FM in Kitchener, Ontario. The station, owned by Sound of Faith Broadcasting Inc., airs a Christian music and talk programming format branded as Faith FM 93.7. Various Christian artists are played, game shows, programs by various speakers/pastors. CJTW is "safe for the whole family" or "a safe spot on the dial". The station was granted a broadcasting license by the CRTC in 2003, and began broadcasting on February 28, 2004. On April 20, 2005, the CRTC denied Sound of Faith Broadcasting's application to change CJTW-FM's frequency from 94.3 MHz to 106.7 MHz. The licensee also proposed to change the authorized contours by increasing the effective radiated power from 50 watts to 1,585 watts, and the antenna height from 55 to 58 meters.On April 10, 2006, Sound of Faith was denied to increase CJTW's power from 50 watts to 141 watts (average) / 250 watts (maximum) and increase in antenna height (at the same location) from 54 to 58 metres.On February 27, 2015, Sound of Faith submitted an application for a new Christian music radio station in Kitchener that would replace CJTW-FM 94.3, which would operate at 93.7 MHz with an effective radiated power of 420 watts (non-directional antenna with an effective height of antenna above average terrain of 58 metres). Sound of Faith expressed that a new license and frequency is necessary, as they wanted to increase its power and coverage area, but are unable to do so at 94.3, due to a similar low-powered FM station in Woodstock also broadcasting at 94.3, CJFH-FM, as well as potential first-adjacent interference issues with Toronto's CBC Radio 2 outlet, CBL-FM 94.1. In addition, the Rogers Cable system had since included CJTW-FM on its audio line-up in Kitchener, but as they have picked the station up directly from the airwaves from its master antenna between Kitchener and Woodstock, it often received interference between CJTW-FM and CJFH-FM. The CRTC approved Sound of Faith's application to operate a new FM station at 93.7 MHz, to replace CJTW-FM 94.3 MHz on September 17, 2015. In February 2016 the station moved to a new broadcast studio located at 604 Belmont Avenue West. In late 2020 they moved to new studios and offices at 24 McIntyre Place. On November 16, 2016 CJTW commenced broadcasting on the new frequency of 93.7 MHz in simulcast mode with 94.3. The 94.3 MHz transmitter was shut down on February 15, 2017.

CKWR-FM is a Canadian radio station, broadcasting a community radio format at 98.5 FM in Kitchener, Ontario. The station has broadcast since 1973.Their studios are located on 1446 King Street East in Kitchener while their transmitter is located on top of Kitchener City Hall.

Kitchener City Hall is the seat of municipal government of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. It has gone through many iterations through the 20th century, culminating in the current building, which opened in 1993.

The Waterloo Festival for Animated Cinema (WFAC) was an annual international film festival for animated feature films, held in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. It ran for 13 years, from 2001 to 2013. The festival was founded in 2001 (2001) to promote appreciation for animation as a narrative medium for mature cinematic storytelling, and to review and celebrate animated feature films in the venue they were meant to be seen: a theatre. The festival was unique in its focus on feature animation. Its selection of films suggested a desire to create bridges: from audience to animator, from anime to non-anime, and most obviously from mature audiences to mature films, which simply happen to be animated. The programme was also surprisingly comprehensive - in its first year the festival was dedicated mainly to anime, but it later became much more international. Perhaps reflecting its focus, WFAC has presented more animated feature films in public exhibition than any other festival in the world. One interesting development since 2003 was the festival's Tidbits programme, developed to search out and promote the creation of feature films by one single artist or very small groups, made possible by advancements in technology.

The Walper Hotel (formerly Walper House and also known as the Walper Terrace Hotel) is a hotel in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. The current hotel building was constructed in 1893 for $75,000 after a previous establishment, known as John Roat's Commercial Hotel, burned down in 1892. On 14 March 1983, it received heritage designation by the City of Kitchener under Part IV (Municipal Heritage Designation) of the Ontario Heritage Act.In September 2013, the hotel was bought by the Zehr Group, the Perimeter Development Corporation, David Struke and CK Atlantis Ltd. for $4.6 million. The Hotel was renovated in 2016 and reopened in May and June for weddings and in July for guests. The renovation cost $3.5 million.

TheMuseum (stylized THEMUSEUM, formerly the Waterloo Regional Children's Museum until 2010) is an art and technology museum in Kitchener, Ontario. It opened to the public in September 2003 after eight years of planning and fundraising. TheMuseum offers permanent interactive exhibits and rotating temporary exhibits designed for all ages.

The Charles Street Transit Terminal is a former bus terminal in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. It is the former downtown hub for local Grand River Transit (GRT) bus services for Kitchener and Waterloo, although the terminal now sits vacant and mostly abandoned. It was the largest public service facility run by GRT, with the Cambridge Ainslie Street terminal being the only other staffed bus station, as well as once serving a number of commuter and intercity bus routes with GO Transit, and Coach Canada.

Victoria Park is a stop on the Region of Waterloo's Ion rapid transit system. It is located alongside Charles Street, just west of Gaukel Street, in Kitchener. Its namesake, Victoria Park, has its eastern entrance about 100 metres (330 ft) south of the station along Gaukel. It opened in 2019. The station serves southbound trains only; the nearest northbound platform is at Kitchener City Hall station, about 250 metres (820 ft) away up Gaukel and Young streets. The station's feature wall consists of brown stone tiles with flowing, random striations. The platform is connected with Charles Street's sidewalks at either end, and pedestrians passing through walk along the platform. The station is located at the southwest corner of the intersection of Charles Street West and Gaukel Street. It is immediately adjacent to 44 Gaukel Street, a modernist building constructed in 1962–64, which was formerly a Canada Post depot before it was converted to its current use as an arts centre. Across Gaukel Street is the Charles Street Transit Terminal, the former Grand River Transit hub in Kitchener until the launch of light rail service in 2019; it is now completely shuttered. Across Charles Street from the station is the 31-storey Charlie West condominium development, one of the tallest in the area. The section of Gaukel Street between Charles Street and Joseph Street was pedestrianized in the summer of 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic. This came after a campaign by residents to pedestrianize the street, with city planners identifying it as a significant pedestrian corridor connecting the city hall and King Street with Victoria Park and its adjacent light rail station.

Queen is a stop on the Region of Waterloo's Ion rapid transit system. It is located alongside Charles Street, just east of Queen Street, in Kitchener. It opened in 2019. The station serves southbound trains only; the nearest northbound platform is at Frederick station, about 150 metres (490 ft) away up Charles and Benton streets. The station's feature wall consists of ceramic tiles in a pattern of teal, gray, orange and blue. The platform is connected with Charles Street's sidewalks at either end, and pedestrians passing through walk along the platform.

Kitchener station is a railway station located in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, slightly to the northeast of downtown Kitchener, at 126 Weber Street West, near the corner of Victoria Street. It is a heritage building containing a waiting room and ticket counter built beside a set of tracks also used as a freight yard. A separate building to the east of the passenger area, originally built in 1925 as a freight building, now serves as the headquarters for the Goderich–Exeter Railway. The station is served by GO Transit regional trains operating between London and Toronto, Via Rail intercity trains operating between Sarnia and Toronto via London, and GO Transit regional buses operating between Kitchener and Bramalea.

Frederick is a stop on the Region of Waterloo's Ion rapid transit system. It is located in the median of Frederick Street, just east of King Street, in downtown Kitchener. It opened in 2019. The station serves northbound trains only; the nearest southbound platform is at Queen station, about 150 metres (500 ft) away down Benton and Charles streets. The station's feature wall consists of solid green glass tiles; this mimics the coloration of the exterior of Market Square. The primary access to the platform is from the crosswalk at King Street; a secondary access at the north end of the platform, crossing the southbound lanes of Frederick Street, is marked as an emergency exit only. Destinations served include the Market Square shopping and office complex, the regional courthouse, and TheMuseum. To the north of the station is the proposed 'Duke Tower Kitchener' condominium development. Across King, at Benton, is a Grand River Transit customer service office.

The Waterloo County Gaol, located in Kitchener, Ontario, is a retired prison and historic site. Constructed in 1852, it is the oldest government building still-standing in the city. The Governor's House, home of the "gaoler", in a mid-Victorian Italian Villa style, was added in 1878. Both have been on Canadian Register of Historic Places since 27 March 2008. Both buildings have been extensively restored. They are located at 73 Queen Street North, Kitchener, Ontario beside the new Court House.
