Demarest-Atwood House is located in Cresskill, Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. The house was built in 1793 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 24, 1984.

The Camp Merritt Memorial Monument is dedicated to the soldiers who passed through Camp Merritt, New Jersey on their way to fight in Europe in World War I, especially the 578 people – 15 officers, 558 enlisted men, four nurses and one civilian – who died at the camp due to the worldwide influenza epidemic of 1918, whose names are inscribed at the base of the monument. The memorial is located at the center of the traffic circle on the borders of Cresskill and Dumont in Bergen County, New Jersey at the intersection of Madison Avenue and Knickerbocker Road (CR 505). Camp Merritt was a major embarkation camp which processed more than a million soldiers, and the monument marks its center. Bergen County purchased the property for the site of the monument in 1919.

Camp Merritt was a military base in Dumont and Cresskill, in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States, that was activated for use in World War I. It had a capacity for 38,000 transient troops and was one of three camps directly under the control of the New York Port of Embarkation. Two routes were used to transport troops, the first being local railroads which would carry the men South. The alternate route involved marching in contingents of two to three thousand men to the North-East and descending the Palisades. These men marched for an hour to board ferryboats at Old Closter Dock, Alpine Landing that took them to the piers at Hoboken, New Jersey to board troop transports for Europe. Contingents would leave the camp for the landing at half hour intervals to board the ferries for the two hour trip to the embarkation piers where several transports might be loading simultaneously. There they would be joined by troops from Camp Mills and Camp Upton arriving by train at a terminal on Long Island for final transport by ferry to the embarkation piers. Approximately four million troops were sent to the Western Front during World War I, about one million of them passed through Camp Merritt. Camp Merritt was decommissioned in 1919.

Students from the neighboring community of Alpine attend the school as part of a sending/receiving relationship with the Alpine Public School.As of the 2020–21 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,231 students and 104.6 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.8:1. There were 12 students (1.0% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 8 (0.6% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

The Benjamin P. Westervelt House, located at 253 County Road in Cresskill, Bergen County, New Jersey, was the home of Benjamin P. Westervelt, a member of the local militia during the American Revolutionary War. The main wing of the Dutch Colonial-style house was built by Westervelt in 1808, but the Westervelt family has continuously occupied the site since at least 1778. The house, which has been used as a background in several films, was listed on New Jersey Register of Historic Places in 1980, and the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The Christie-Parsels House is located in Tenafly, Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. The house was built in 1804 by William P. Christie. In 1836 Samuel Parsels erected a large wing on the eastern side of the original house. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 10, 1983.

The Peter Huyler House is located on what is known as the Captain John Huyler Homestead at 50 County Road between Palisades Avenue and Crest Drive North in Cresskill, Bergen County, New Jersey. In 1776, the property was part of a 180-acre (73 ha) farm which belonged to Loyalist John Ackerson or Eckerson. It was confiscated in 1779 because of Ackerson's loyalty to the British, and sold in 1784 to Captain John Huyler of the local militia. Huyler's son Peter built the main wing of the current house in 1836, according to the date stone over the door, with what was described by the Bergen County Stone House Survey as "some of the finest stonework in Bergen County". The outbuilding was most probably a summer kitchen, with quarters for slaves.Records show that by 1876, the site was owned by George Huyler, and in 1912 by his estate.The house was added to the New Jersey Register of Historic Places in 1980, and to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Theodore Roosevelt Monument is located in Tenafly, Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. The monument was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 20, 2006.
