Pisgah is a town in Jackson County, Alabama, United States, and is included in the Huntsville-Decatur Combined Statistical Area. It incorporated in 1947. As of the 2020 census, the population of the town was 681, down from 722 in 2010. Pisgah is located atop Sand Mountain.

Fackler, also known as Flackler, Facler, or Fackler's Station, is an unincorporated community in Jackson County, Alabama, United States. Fackler is located on the former Memphis and Charleston Railroad, and its post office was established in 1869. During the Chattanooga Campaign of the American Civil War, the 90th Illinois Volunteer Infantry Regiment was based out of Fackler. Phillip Hamman, known as "The Savior of Greenbrier", was formerly buried near Fackler, on the grounds of his plantation home at Hammon Hollow in Inglis-Middleton Cemetery. (Hammon is another popular spelling of his name.)

Hollywood is a town in Jackson County, northeast Alabama, United States. In 2020, the census showed a population of 914 residents. Hollywood is considered a suburb of Scottsboro, the county seat. The town is the site of the Tennessee Valley Authority's never-completed Bellefonte Nuclear Generating Station. The TVA sold the plant, and as of 2018, it is to be developed by private interests.

Henagar is a city in DeKalb County, Alabama, United States. At the 2020 census, the population was 2,292. Henagar is located on top of Sand Mountain, a southern extension of the Cumberland Plateau.

Long Island (also called Carpenter, Carpenter Station, and Carpenters Station) is an unincorporated community in the northeastern corner of Jackson County, Alabama, United States. Long Island appears on the Bridgeport U.S. Geological Survey Map. It was reportedly named Carpenter for a family that lived there prior to 1852, when it was given the English form of the original Cherokee name of the village on the long island in the Tennessee River dating from 1783.

The Townsend Farmhouse is a historic residence near Hollywood, Alabama, United States. The farm is situated at the base of Poorhouse Mountain, and consists of the main house, built circa 1870; a two-room log house, built circa 1860 and today used for storage; and several outbuildings dating from the mid-20th century and later. The center-hall house has a gable roof, with a tall, cross-gable pediment. The exterior is clad in clapboard atop the rough-cut limestone block foundation. Two limestone chimneys project from the gable ends. The front porch and entry exhibit Folk Victorian details. A three-bay ell extends from the rear of the house. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

The B. B. Comer Bridge, was a two-lane, 2,143-foot (653 m) long, Warren truss bridge spanning the Tennessee River along Alabama State Route 35 in Scottsboro, Alabama. The bridge was named after Alabama governor Braxton Bragg Comer, who served from 1907 to 1911. Construction of the bridge was carried out by the Kansas City Bridge Company for the Alabama State Bridge Corporation. Its construction commenced in 1929 and was complete by 1931. As of 2013, this was the only remaining bridge of the 15 memorial toll bridges constructed by the Alabama State Bridge Corporation.By 2007, the aging structure was classified by the Alabama Department of Transportation as being a structurally deficient bridge with an overall rating of 7.7 out of 100. Construction of a replacement bridge commenced in October 2007, and is expected to be completed in late 2015. As of April 2016, the replacement is several months away from completion. The Comer Bridge was scheduled to be demolished in 2015 although preservation efforts are underway and the Comer Bridge Foundation has been organized. In April 2013, the bridge was named one of the top ten "Top Rated Unique Savable Structures" by BridgeHunter.com. On October 31, 2013, the B. B. Comer Bridge was added to the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage. On April 29, 2016, the bridge closed to all traffic with the opening of the new bridge. Crews began removing the road deck immediately after closure. Demolition of the original span began June, 2016 and was completed in July. A pyramid shaped sculpture built from the steel of the north entrance of the bridge was installed at Scottsboro High School in May 2018 as a monument to the bridge.

Ider is a town in DeKalb County, Alabama, United States. At the 2020 census, the population was 735. It incorporated in October 1973.
