Chamberí (Madrid Metro)

Chamberí is a district of Madrid, Spain. It is further subdivided into six neighborhoods (Gaztambide, Arapiles, Trafalgar, Almagro, Ríos Rosas and Vallehermoso). The district junta is headquartered at the plaza de Chamberí. The current urban outline was born as part of the Ensanche plan drafted by Carlos María de Castro (approved in 1860).

Teatro Chueca was a theatre on the Plaza de Chamberí in Madrid, Spain. It was built in 1925.

Iglesia is a station on Line 1 of the Madrid Metro.

Trafalgar is an administrative neighborhood (barrio) of Madrid belonging to the district of Chamberí. It has an area of 0.611950 km2 (0.236275 sq mi). As of 1 February 2021, it has a population of 24,748.

Almagro is a ward (barrio) of Madrid, Spain, belonging to the district of Chamberí.

The Beth Yaakov Synagogue is a synagogue in Madrid, Spain. Jews began to return to Spain in the nineteenth century, long after the execution and movement of Catholicism throughout the entirety of Spain and established a synagogue in Madrid in 1917. After the Republican government was defeated by Franco’s forces in the Spanish Civil War (1936-39), Catholicism was proclaimed the official State religion and the synagogues were closed. A number of Jewish families arrived from Morocco, and soon established informal house synagogues.The present synagogue was built in 1968, after passage of the "Religious Freedom Law" of 1967.

Alonso Martínez is a station on Line 4, Line 5 and Line 10 of the Madrid Metro. It is located in Zone A.The station was named after the Spanish jurist and politician Manuel Alonso Martínez.

The Church of San Fermín de los Navarros (Spanish: Iglesia de San Fermín de los Navarros) is a church located in Madrid, Spain. It is dedicated to Saint Fermin (who is associated with Navarre), and replaces an earlier church dedicated to the saint which was demolished to make way for the Bank of Spain. Projected by Eugenio Jiménez Corera and Carlos Velasco Peinado, the building is constructed from brick. It mixes Neo-Mudéjar and Gothic Revival elements. The Gothic style is employed in the interior, whereas the Mudejar elements are more typical of the exterior. It was designed in 1886 and finished in 1890. It was inaugurated on 6 July 1890.

The Cárcel del Saladero (English: The Saladero Prison) also known as Cárcel de Villa, was a prison in the Spanish city of Madrid, operational during the 19th century. The name of the prison arose from its original use for bacon salting (saladero de tocino).

The Church of La Milagrosa, formerly Church of San Vicente de Paul, is a Roman Catholic church in Madrid, Spain. With an area of 900 square metres (9,700 sq ft), it is situated on Calle García de Paredes, west of the InterContinental Madrid. The church was built between 1900 and 1904 under the architects Juan Bautista Lázaro de Diego and Narciso Clavería y de Palacios. The architecture is eclectic, exhibiting Neo-Mudéjar features on the exterior and mainly Neo-Gothic features in the interior.

Cine Proyecciones, also known under the commercial name Cinesa Proyecciones, is a cinema in Madrid, Spain The building is located in Calle de Fuencarral, in between the roundabouts of Bilbao and Quevedo. Built in an Art Deco style, it was inaugurated on 21 December 1932 with a screening of Palmy Days. It underwent renovations to adapt to Cinerama, thereby re-opening in 1964 (henceforth becoming one of the only three cinemas in Madrid with the aforementioned system). As of 1970, it featured 1,487 seats. It was reformed in 2004 by Rafael de La-Hoz. Transformed into a multiplex, as of 2015 it had 8 screens and 1,800 seats.
