Borris House is a country house near Borris, County Carlow.

Borris (Irish: An Bhuiríos, formerly Buirgheas Ó nDróna) is a village on the River Barrow, in County Carlow, Ireland. It lies on the R702 regional road. Borris has views of the neighbouring countryside with Mount Leinster and the Blackstairs Mountains to the east, and the Barrow Valley to the west. It is the home to Borris House, the ancestral home of the MacMurrough Kavanaghs.

Duiske Abbey National Monument, also known as Graiguenamanagh Abbey, is a 13th-century Cistercian monastery situated in Graiguenamanagh, County Kilkenny in Ireland.Duiske Abbey was founded by William Marshal in 1204 and is one of the first, largest and perhaps the finest of the thirty-four medieval Cistercian monasteries in Ireland. The Abbey is the parish church of Graiguenamanagh town and beautifully dominates the town centre. The Abbey is located in the valley of the river Barrow, on a site between the main river and the Duiske tributary. The abbey derives its name from the Douskey River Irish: An Dubhuisce, meaning 'Black Water'.

Graiguenamanagh or Graignamanagh (Irish: Gráig na Manach, meaning 'valley (or village) of the monks') is a town on the River Barrow in County Kilkenny, Ireland. Part of the settlement, known as Tinnahinch, is on the County Carlow side of the river, and Carlow County Council refers to the whole village as "Graiguenamanagh-Tinnahinch". Also combined for census purposes, as of the 2016 census, Graiguenamanagh-Tinnahinch had a population of 1,475 people. The town is in a townland and civil parish of the same name.Graiguenamanagh is located at the foot of Brandon Hill and is home to Duiske Abbey, the largest of the thirty-four mediaeval Cistercian abbeys in Ireland.

Tinnahinch Castle (Irish: Caislean Tigh na hInse) is a ruined tower house located near River Barrow in Tinnahinch, County Carlow, Ireland. It has a rectangular structure with a stair tower at the southwest angle, a machicolation between the angles of the two towers protecting the doorway, and a bartizan on the north east angle. All of the windows in the north wall have been stolen.At the eastern corner nearest to the river was a barbican which was constructed on corbels projecting from the walls which defended the northern and eastern sides.The tower is planned to be destroyed due to safety concerns.

Mount Loftus is a country estate in the civil parish of Powerstown in County Kilkenny, Ireland. It was originally home to the Loftus baronets, the baronetcy being extinct since the death of the third baronet in 1864. The original 18th century manor house was demolished in 1906. The current house on the estate, built in the early 20th century, was rebuilt from staff accommodations after a fire in the 1930s. This house, and several of its outbuildings, are included on Kilkenny County Council's Record of Protected Structures.

Goresbridge (Irish: An Droichead Nua, meaning 'The New Bridge') is a small village located in the east of County Kilkenny, in the province of Leinster, Ireland. Goresbridge is named after a 1756 bridge, built by Colonel Ralph Gore, which provides a crossing of the River Barrow between County Kilkenny and County Carlow in the South-East region. Located 2.75 miles (4.43 km) from Gowran on the R702 (Kilkenny−Enniscorthy) regional road, and approximately 20 kilometres (12 mi) east of Kilkenny.Part of the civil parish is Grangesilvia which is in the barony of Gowran. Charles II granted Arthur Gore the townland of Barrowmount. The Battle of Goresbridge occurred there in June 1798.The population according to the 2011 census was 361. The local authority is Kilkenny County Council. Goresbridge gives its name to an electoral division.

Lorum High Cross is a high cross fragment and National Monument located in Lorum, County Carlow, Ireland The cross belongs to an early monastic site which is associated with Molaise of Leighlin. The remaining cross fragment consists of a granite shaft with a height of 55 cm and a width of 30 cm that resides on a small cairn with a diameter of 210 cm.

The Monefelim River (Irish: Abhainn Mhóin Fheidhlim) is a river that flows through the county of Kilkenny in Ireland. It is a tributary of the Ballyvalden River before they join the River Barrow. It is part of the Barrow catchment area. The Local Authority is Kilkenny County Council.
