The Hill of Ward (Irish: Tlachtga, formerly Tlachtgha) is a hill in County Meath, Ireland.

Clann na nGael is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Rathcairn / Athboy, in County Meath, Ireland. The club was founded in 2002, combining the two former GAA teams of O'Growney Club Athboy (a hurling and football club), and An Ghaeltacht Rath Cairn (football-only club). The club fields both Gaelic football and hurling teams. It competes in Meath GAA competitions. The club takes part in the annual Peile na Gaelige also.

Athboy railway station was the terminus of a branch line which diverged from the Dublin to Navan line at Kilmessan Junction and served the village of Athboy in County Meath, Ireland.

Athboy (Irish: Baile Átha Buí, meaning 'town of the yellow ford') is a small agricultural town located in County Meath. The town is located on the Yellow Ford River, in wooded country near the County Westmeath border. It is around 15 km west of Navan and 50 km north-west of Dublin.

Allenstown House was a large five-bay, four-story Georgian mansion in County Meath, Ireland. It was built in around 1750 by William Waller.The final owner was Vice-Admiral Arthur William Craig who assumed the surname Craig-Waller when he inherited the property in 1920 from a distant relative. In the late 1930s the house and estate were bought by the Irish Land Commission. The lands were broken up and sold. The house, though of architectural and historical significance, was controversially demolished in 1938.

Faughan Hill is a low hill approximately five miles to the northwest of Navan, County Meath, Ireland. It is owned by the Moriarty, McCabe, Dunne, English families, and is not open to the public. The highest point is owned by the Moriarty family. Because the surrounding area of Meath is so flat, the hill is the most prominent feature in the local topography. Historians and folklorists believe that the hill's name originated from fraughan berries which in mediaeval times were recorded as growing all around it. According to legend, Niall of the Nine Hostages, Irish Árd Rí (High King) and ancestor of the Uí Néill, is buried in a cave on the hill. The small village of Greetiagh is located at the foot of the hill. In 1920, the local Royal Irish Constabulary barracks in the village was attacked and burned by republicans during the Irish War of Independence. The hill was wooded with a hunting gap through its centre until it was cleared in 1962 by the McCabe's. In the 1970s, Sean Dunne opened a large quarry on its southern side; later closed, the quarry was reopened in the 1990s and in the 2000s. Since then, a telecommunications mast has been erected which provides coverage to a wide area.

Kells railway station was a railway station in Kells, County Meath, Ireland. The station opened in 1853. It was established by the Dublin and Drogheda Railway to serve a new branch from the Dublin–Navan railway line. The branch was closed to passengers in 1958, and closed for all uses in 1963.

Balrath Demesne (Irish: Diméin Bhaile na Rátha) is a townland in County Meath, Ireland. It is located 4 km (2.5 mi) southwest of the town of Kells. Its population was 36 in 2011. The wall of an ancient chapel and a cemetery remain here, on the grounds of the former estate, Balrath Bury.

Durhamstown Castle is a 600-year-old towerhouse in the townland of Durhamstown of the civil parish of Ardbraccan which is in the barony (Ireland) of Lower Navan, in County Meath, Ireland. It has been inhabited continuously since 1420. It is named after a Mr. Dorream (or Mr. Dorram), whos family lived there in 1511, and has been converted into a guest house and restaurant.Although the precise origins of the building are unknown, the existing castle is believed to date from the early 15th century. The building is of four storeys and the ground floor has four vaulted chambers with inserted windows. A square tower with a pointed door which opens to a spiral staircase can be found at its east wall. There are three tall chimneys clustering at the north end of the nave. There is believed to have originally been another storey which was knocked down as a result of a fire. A 19th century single storey wing has been added to the north of the old house. In the 16th century the building was owned by The 1st Earl of Essex, Lord Deputy of Ireland under Queen Elizabeth I of England and Ireland.In the 17th century Sir Roger Jones-Lord Ranallagh lived there, whose son Arthur, as Chancellor of the Exchequer, was involved in a scandal whereby the entire Irish Exchequer was diverted to pay for the mistresses of Charles II. During the 18th century its occupants were Thompsons and during the 19th the Roberts Family. It is currently owned by Dave and Sue Prickett, who bought it in 1996 and run it as a guest house and restaurant. It is one of the oldest continually resided-in buildings in Ireland.

Kells (; Irish: Ceanannas) is a town in County Meath, Ireland. The town lies off the M3 motorway, 16 km (10 mi) from Navan and 65 km (40 mi) from Dublin. Along with other towns in County Meath, it is within the commuter belt for Dublin, and had a population of 6,608 as of the 2022 census. It is best known as the site of Kells Abbey, from which the Book of Kells takes its name.

The Battle of Kells took place between Edward Bruce and Roger Mortimer, 3rd Baron Mortimer.

The Abbey of Kells (Mainistir Cheanannais in Irish) is a former monastery in Kells, County Meath, Ireland, 64 kilometres (40 mi) north of Dublin. It was founded in the early 9th century, and the Book of Kells was kept there during the later medieval and early modern periods before finally leaving the abbey in the 1650s. Much of the Book of Kells may have been created there, but historians cannot be certain of the exact date and circumstances of its creation.
