Hotel Albert (New York, New York)

The Institute of Audio Research (IAR) was an educational institution in New York City. Students of IAR were offered a wide variety of academic programs in the field of music production and audio engineering. Students could choose from courses in audio electronics, digital music production, mixing music, and audio processing and storage, among others. It was founded in 1969 and closed in 2017. It has resurfaced as part of Five Towns College in 2022.

University Place is a short north-south thoroughfare in Manhattan, New York City, United States, which runs from Washington Square Park in the south as a continuation of Washington Square East, taking the position of Madison Avenue uptown, and terminates at East 14th Street just southwest of Union Square. Although the roadway continues north of 14th Street as Union Square West, traffic on the two streets run in opposite directions (University Place uptown, and Union Square West downtown), both feeding into 14th Street. Until the late 1990s, University Place was a two-way street. The street contains numerous shops and restaurants, many of which cater to students at NYU and The New School.

Nix was a restaurant in New York City. The restaurant served American cuisine and had received a Michelin star. It closed in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hotel Lafayette (formerly Hotel Martin) was a hotel located on University Place in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. It was founded by Raymond Orteig in 1902. The hotel was particularly known for its restaurant, the Café Lafayette, and drew its clientele from New York's French expatriates and the bohemians of Greenwich Village. John Reed described the hotel as "the real link between the old Village and the new, since it was the cradle of artistic life in New York." After Orteig's retirement in 1929, the 65-room hotel and its restaurant were run by his sons until its closure in 1949. The building was demolished in the late 1950s.

Cinema Village is a movie theater in Greenwich Village, New York. It is the oldest continuously operated cinema in Greenwich Village. It was opened in 1963, housed in a converted firehouse on 12th Street.Since the 1980s, It has been owned by Nick Nicolaou, a Cypriot immigrant who came to the United States at age 12. In 1975 at the age of 15, he began working at Cinema Village. In three years at age 18, he was general manager. He later bought the cinema. Nicolaou's story is told in the film The Projectionist by Abel Ferrara.Cinema Village is part of numerous film festivals, including: The New York Short Film Festival, The Manhattan Film Festival, The Other Israel, Workers United, Kino Film Festival, African Diaspora International, Winter Film Awards International Film Festival, Socially Relevant Film Festival, HUMP, Reel Recovery, Wildlife Conservatory, and Arab Cinema week.

Adolph's Asti was an Italian restaurant in New York City's Greenwich Village. It was unique in that many of the waiters were professional opera singers who routinely performed for the restaurant guests. Asti first opened in 1924, and was open for over 75 years before closing on New Year's Eve 1999–2000.

Strip House is a privately owned fine dining chain of steakhouses with locations in New York City and Las Vegas. All locations have smaller, separate rooms for private dining.

Gotham Bar and Grill is a New American restaurant located at 12 East 12th Street (between Fifth Avenue and University Place), in Greenwich Village in Manhattan, in New York City. It opened in 1984. It closed in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and re-opened in November 2021.

Apostolic Studios was an American independent recording studio located at 53 East 10th Street in New York City's Greenwich Village. Established in 1967 by John Townley, Apostolic was the first 12-track studio in New York. Artists recording at the studio included Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention, Larry Coryell, Allen Ginsberg, and The Fugs.

The Salmagundi Club, sometimes referred to as the Salmagundi Art Club, is a fine arts center founded in 1871 in the Greenwich Village section of Manhattan, New York City. Since 1917, it has been located at 47 Fifth Avenue. As of 2021, its membership roster totals roughly 1,100 members.The Salmagundi Club has served as a center for fine arts, artists and collectors, with art exhibitions, art classes, artist demonstrations, art auctions and many other types of events. It is also a sponsor of the United States Coast Guard Art Program (COGAP).

Grace Church is a historic parish church in Manhattan, New York City which is part of the Episcopal Diocese of New York. The church is located at 800–804 Broadway, at the corner of East 10th Street, where Broadway bends to the south-southeast, bringing it in alignment with the avenues in Manhattan's grid. Grace Church School and the church houses—which are now used by the school—are located to the east at 86–98 Fourth Avenue between East 10th and 12th Streets. The church, which has been called "one of the city's greatest treasures", is a French Gothic Revival masterpiece designed by James Renwick, Jr., his first major commission. Grace Church is a National Historic Landmark designated for its architectural significance and place within the history of New York City, and the entire complex is a New York City landmark, designated in 1966 (church and rectory) and 1977 (church houses).

The Center for Jewish Law and Contemporary Civilization at Yeshiva University's Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law organizes conferences, publishes texts, and supports travel and research by graduate students and senior scholars in the fields of Jewish law, legal and political theory, and ethics. Suzanne Last Stone, a professor of law at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, directs the center. Previously known as the Program in Jewish Law & Interdisciplinary Studies, the center was established at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2004. Its mission includes fostering a specifically American contribution to the study of Jewish law, complementing already existing institutions for the study of Jewish law in Israel. The center's three major areas of focus are: academic study of Jewish jurisprudence, comparative law, and legal theory; interdisciplinary research of Jewish law, political theory, multicultural studies, and ethics; public programming for lay and religious intellectuals, professionals, and officials exploring Jewish law values in general public discourse.
