Westminster-Branson is a neighbourhood in the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is in the northernmost part of the city within the area of North York. Branson is located along Finch Avenue, west of Bathurst Street and east of the west branch of the Don River. Westminster is located just to the north, across the Westminster Cemetery. It is also known as Fisherville, after the former town on the site. It stretches north to Steeles Avenue, and the northern border of Toronto. The neighbourhood is home to North York General Hospital - Branson Site.

High Park North, or often simply High Park, after the park, is a neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is bounded on the south by Bloor Street, on the west by Runnymede Road, on the north by Annette Street, Quebec Avenue and Humberside Avenue, and on the east by the GO Transit Weston Subdivision rail tracks (formerly owned by Canadian National Railway). It is located in the Parkdale—High Park provincial and federal electoral districts. The area east of Keele Street is also known informally as the "West Bend" neighbourhood.

Ravina Gardens was an ice hockey arena located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It supported amateur hockey from before World War I until 1961, and professional hockey briefly in the 1920s. The location of the demolished arena is parkland, and is known as Ravina Gardens. It was located at the foot of Rowland Street, southeast of Annette Street and Evelyn Avenue in West Toronto Junction.

The Runnymede fire hall was operated by Toronto Fire Services, from 1928 to 2014. Then-mayor Rob Ford ordered the fire hall shut down, as a cost-saving measure. Toronto Fire Services repurposed the heritage structure, and reopened it as a public education center, on October 13, 2016.Recommendations that the fire hall be closed had been offered since at least 1987. Ford first attempted to have the station closed in 2012, but it received a brief reprieve, in 2013. The closure stirred controversy, with local residents concerned over slower response times from more distant fire halls.The fire hall's architecture was considered sufficiently iconic for it to be considered a heritage structure, worthy of preservation. On October 13, 2016, the historic structure was reopened, in a public ceremony — but as a fire education centre, not an active fire station. While it will be capable of operating a fire engine, no engine will be stationed there. Instead, a fire captain and six fire educators will conduct fire safety outreach. Local councilor, Sarah Doucette, celebrated its re-opening. She echoed the views of local residents who regretted it had not been restored to fully operational status.

Runnymede is a subway station on Line 2 Bloor–Danforth of the Toronto subway in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located just north of Bloor Street West, spanning the block east of Runnymede Road to Kennedy Avenue, with bus platforms at the surface level and entrances at both ends. Humberside Collegiate Institute (also known as Humberside CI, HCI, or Humberside), formerly known as Toronto Junction High School and Toronto Junction Collegiate Institute is a public high school located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It serves the Bloor West Village, Baby Point, High Park North and Junction neighbourhoods. Prior to 1998, it was within the Toronto Board of Education (TBE).Humberside was established in 1892 and has an academic program for students in grades 9 through 12. In addition to the regular curriculum, the school has a strong music program, as well as an Extended French and French Immersion program. It is a non-semestered school, meaning that the students take all eight of their classes through the entire academic year (with the exception of Civics/Careers in grade ten which switches in January, and the "double math" program, which switches from Advanced Functions in January to Calculus and Vectors). The motto of the school is "Felix qui potuit rerum cognoscere causas", a Latin phrase from Virgil's work Georgics, meaning "Happy is the person who has been able to learn the reasons for things".

The Runnymede Theatre is a historic building located in Bloor West Village, an affluent west end Toronto neighbourhood. The building has operated as a vaudeville theatre, a movie theatre, a bingo hall, and a Chapters bookstore. The building is now a Shoppers Drug Mart.

Bloor West Village is a shopping district in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Located along Bloor Street, it encompasses all businesses along Bloor Street between South Kingsway and Ellis Park Road, consisting of more than 400 shops, restaurants and services. The mix of stores include specialty clothing stores, book stores, restaurants and cafes. The businesses organized in 1970 into the first mandatory business improvement district, an idea that has spread to numerous other commercial streets in Toronto and to cities around the world.

Wendigo Creek was a short watercourse in Toronto, Ontario, that drained into Grenadier Pond. It was spring fed, like nearby Spring Creek. Its headwaters were north of Bloor Street, near Dundas Street and Laws Street.Tributaries joined the main channel at Clendenan Street and Glendonwynne Street, north of High Park.The creek's steeply sloped ravine was 15 metres (49 ft) deep where it crossed Bloor, until that portion was filled in, in 1915. A conduit carried the creek under the embankment. Currently, storm sewers empty into channelized open remnant of the creek, south of Bloor, in the north end of High Park.Sediment washed down the creek, formed a sandbar, at the outlet of Grenadier Pond, sealing it off, as a separate pond.A follower of John Harvey Kellogg, William McCormick, and his wife, both medical doctors, built a sanatorium at 32 Gothic Avenue, along the creek's banks, in 1905. The pair built "mineral baths", claiming the spring-fed creek had special health benefits. When the McCormicks shut down the sanatorium the mineral baths were turned into official city swimming pools.

The Portuguese Seventh-day Adventist Church is a Seventh-day Adventist church serving the Portuguese community of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The congregation is currently meeting every Saturday at the High Park Korean United Church building located at 260 High Park Ave.

Parkdale—High Park is a federal electoral district in Ontario, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 1979. It was created during the 1976 electoral boundaries redistribution from parts of Parkdale, High Park—Humber Valley, Davenport and Spadina districts. As of the October 19, 2015, Canadian general election, the current Member of Parliament (MP) is Liberal member Arif Virani. According to the 2016 Census, Parkdale—High Park has the lowest percentage of visible minorities (26.2%) among all City of Toronto ridings; it also has the highest percentage of people of Irish (20.0%), German (9.8%), and French (8.9%) ethnic origin of all City of Toronto ridings.

Parkdale—High Park is a provincial electoral district in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, created in 1996 and represented in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario since 1999. It is located in the Toronto's west-end, bordering on the lakefront to the south, the Humber River to the west, and the Canadian Pacific Railway tracks essentially defining its northern and eastern borders. There are 107,035 residents in the district. Federally the electoral district is held by Member of Parliament (MP) Arif Virani, provincially by Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) Bhutila Karpoche and municipally by city councillor Gord Perks (Ward 4).
