Cliftonville Cricket Ground

Solitude is a football stadium in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It is the oldest football stadium in Ireland, and the home ground of Ireland's oldest football club, Cliftonville. The stadium holds 6,224, but is currently restricted to 2,530 under safety legislation.The stadium was built in 1890 and has undergone several renovations. In 2002, a new stand was built at one end of the ground to house visiting supporters, and in 2008, a new stand was completed behind the goal at the east end of the ground. A synthetic 3G pitch was installed to replace the previous grass surface in 2010.

St Gemma's High School was a secondary school located on Ardilea Street in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It was within the Belfast Education and Library Board area. Its name originated from the Catholic saint of the Passionist order, Gemma Galgani (1878–1903).In October 2011, it was announced that the school would face permanent closure in September 2012, due to falling numbers. However, the school stayed open for another year and closed in August 2013.

The Belfast Royal Academy (commonly shortened to BRA) is the oldest school in the city of Belfast, Northern Ireland. It is a co-educational, non-denominational voluntary grammar school in north Belfast. The Academy is one of 8 schools in Northern Ireland whose Head is a member of the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference.

HM Prison Belfast, also known as Crumlin Road Gaol, is a former prison situated on the Crumlin Road in north Belfast, Northern Ireland. Since 1996 it is the only remaining Victorian era former prison in Northern Ireland. It is colloquially known as the Crum.The Northern Ireland Environment Agency has given it a grade A listed building status because of its architectural and historical significance. The Crumlin Road Courthouse, derelict since its closure, stands opposite the Gaol with a tunnel under the main road connecting the two buildings and used previously to transport the prisoners between both buildings.

Cliftonville Golf Club is located on Westland Road in north Belfast. It consists of a 9-hole course with an eighteen-hole par of 70.The club was founded in 1911. The course lies underneath the shadow of Cavehill. The first hole has been nominated twice in BBC NI's toughest Par 3.

Ardoyne (from Irish Ard Eoin 'Eoin's height') is a working class and mainly Catholic and Irish republican district in north Belfast, Northern Ireland. It gained notoriety due to the large number of incidents during The Troubles.

The Crumlin Road Courthouse is a former judicial facility on Crumlin Road in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It is a Grade B+ listed building.

St Malachy's College, in Belfast, Northern Ireland, is the oldest Catholic diocesan college in Ulster. The college's alumni and students are known as Malachians.

The Mater Infirmorum Hospital, commonly known as The Mater, is an acute hospital in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It provides services to most of North Belfast and South Antrim, reaching as far as Glengormley, Carrickfergus and Newtownabbey It is managed by the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust.

The McMahon killings or the McMahon murders occurred on 24 March 1922 when six Catholic civilians were shot dead at the home of the McMahon family in Belfast, Northern Ireland. A group of police officers broke into their house at night and shot all eight males inside, in an apparent sectarian attack. The victims were businessman Owen McMahon, four of his sons, and one of his employees. Two others were shot but survived, and a female family member was assaulted. The survivors said most of the gunmen wore police uniform and it is suspected they were members of the Ulster Special Constabulary (USC). It is believed to have been a reprisal for the Irish Republican Army's (IRA) killing of two policemen on May Street, Belfast the day before.Northern Ireland had been created ten months before, in the midst of the Irish War of Independence. A truce ended the war in most of Ireland; but sectarian conflict in Belfast, and fighting in border areas, continued. Northern Ireland's police – especially the USC, which was almost wholly Protestant and unionist – were implicated in a number of attacks on Catholic and Irish nationalist civilians as reprisal for IRA actions. A week later, six more Catholics were killed in another reprisal attack.

The Duncairn Centre for Arts & Culture, which opened in 2014, is an arts and culture venue in North Belfast, Northern Ireland. The venue is "dedicated to creating a shared space arts facility that will contribute to North Belfast’s cultural, social, political and economic rebirth and, at the same time, showcasing, supporting and developing the work of young emerging local artists". The centre also engages in outreach activities.
