Roughfort is a small village in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It is within the townland of Craigarogan and the Newtownabbey Borough Council area. In the 2001 Census it had a population of 216 people.

Millbank is a small village in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It is mostly within the townland of Carnanee, slightly north of Roughfort, between Templepatrick and Newtownabbey. In the 2001 Census it had a population of 93 people. It is in Newtownabbey Borough Council area.

Patterson's Spade Mill is a water-powered spade mill in Templepatrick, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. Initially a flax and corn mill, it was later converted to a paper mill. Ownership passed to the Patterson family, who had been involved in the spade industry for several generations, converting the mill once again. The mill was purchased by the National Trust in 1992. It is the last spade mill in operation in situ in the British Isles.

Grange of Mallusk (from Irish: Maigh Bhloisce, meaning 'Bloisce's plain), or Mallusk, is a village and townland (of 933 acres) in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. Mallusk is within the urban area of Newtownabbey, and it is also within the Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council area. It is situated in the civil parish of Templepatrick and the historic barony of Belfast Lower.

It is about 4 km south of Ballyclare and has developed around the junction of the Ballyrobert Road and the Mossley Road/The Longshot. It had a population of 587 people in the 2001 Census. It was within the Newtownabbey Borough Council area which became the Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council in 2015.

Templepatrick (; from Irish Teampall Phádraig, meaning 'Patrick's Church') is a village and civil parish in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It is 9.2 miles (14.8 km) northwest of Belfast, and halfway between the towns of Ballyclare and Antrim. It is also close to Belfast International Airport and the village has several hotels. Templepatrick is the site of historic Church of Ireland, Presbyterian and the Old Presbyterian Church. It had a population of 1,437 people in the 2011 Census.

Belfast Upper is a barony in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. To its east lies the barony of Belfast and Belfast Lough, and it is bordered by five other baronies: Belfast Lower to the north-east; Antrim Upper to the north-west; Massereene Lower to the west; Massereene Upper to the south-west; and Castlereagh Upper to the south. The Forth River flows through both Belfast Upper and Lower. The most prominent hills in the barony are Black Hill and Lyle's Hill.

The 1971 Scottish soldiers' killings took place in Northern Ireland during The Troubles. On 10 March 1971, the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA) shot dead three off-duty British soldiers of the 1st Battalion, Royal Highland Fusiliers. The soldiers were from Scotland and two were teenage brothers. They were lured from a pub in Belfast where they had been drinking, driven to a remote location and shot by the roadside. Three British soldiers had been killed before this, but all had been killed during rioting. The deaths led to public mourning and protests against the IRA. Pressure to act spurred a political crisis for the Northern Ireland Government, which led to the resignation of James Chichester-Clark as Prime Minister of Northern Ireland. The British Army raised the minimum age needed to serve in Northern Ireland to 18 in response to this incident. In 2010, a memorial was dedicated to the three soldiers near the site of their deaths. Three IRA members were later named as being responsible, one of whom was a former British soldier.

Doagh ( DOHKH; from Irish Dumhach, meaning 'mound') is a village and townland in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It is in the Six Mile Water Valley, about two miles south-west of Ballyclare, and had a population of 1,388 people in the 2011 census. It is known as Doach in Scots.While older 19th century housing stands in the village centre, the village has gradually grown and new housing estates have been built on its outskirts.
