Langham Square (Chinese: 朗豪坊) (formerly known as South Unionville Square) is a 500,000-square-foot (46,000 m2) Asian-themed shopping, office and residential complex in Markham, Ontario, Canada. It is located at the intersection of Kennedy Road and South Unionville Avenue, which is north of the 407 ETR and east of Downtown Markham. Its Chinese name “朗豪坊” echoes Langham Place, a shopping and office complex located in Mong Kok, Hong Kong. It is primarily a mall to serve the growing Asian community. The complex includes a condominium tower and townhouses with commercial retail/professional offices. It is anchored at the concourse level by T & T Supermarket, which belongs to the group of Loblaws Ltd. chain stores. On the south end of the complex is a 12 floor 253 unit condo tower.

South Unionville is a neighbourhood located in, Markham, Ontario, Canada. It is bounded to the north by Regional Highway 7, south by 407, east by McCowan Road and west by Kennedy Road. The community is named after its geographical location near the south portion of the historic Unionville district. A majority of developed parkland is found just north of South Unionville Avenue. South Unionville also has a large variation of mixed-income housing, most townhouses are found along South Unionville Avenue, Semi-detached houses south of the street and detached houses along other residential lanes. A condominium complex along with a shopping centre locates in the west end of the community. Construction on the newer parts of the community began in 2000 and was mostly finished by 2003. The local school is Unionville Meadows Public School.

Hagerman's Corners is a dispersed rural community in Markham, Ontario, Canada. Located at 14th Avenue and Kennedy Road, the former farm lands have disappeared and given way to homes and commercial parks. It is geographically located between the communities of Milliken Mills and Unionville, within the city of Markham. Hagerman's Corners was founded in 1803 by Nicholas Hagerman, who owned the property at the NW corner of the intersection. By 1878 the village had a hotel (Bee Hive Hotel) and tavern, a general store and post office (1873), and a wagon maker. In 1849, a Wesleyan Methodist church was built on a private Hagerman family burying ground; the wood-frame church was replaced by a brick building in 1874. While the church was torn down in the 1920s, the cemetery on the east side of Kennedy Road (on James Fairless' farm), north of 14th Avenue remains with former Presbyterian church demolished. A few historical homes still exist and have been revitalized in an attempt to beautify the area. Today, the west side of Kennedy Road is home to a new public housing project for the city of Markham. Two small strip malls with mostly Chinese stores are located on the southwest corner of 14th Avenue and Kennedy Road. One of the shopping areas houses the First Choice Supermarket, a Chinese-based supermarket (formerly Big Land Farm) and Tim Hortons; the other is home to various Asian restaurants. Hagerman Mennonite Church has met in the village since 1932.

The Markham Pan Am Centre is a multi-purpose community and aquatics centre located in the new downtown area of Markham, Ontario, Canada. The facility was designed to host the badminton, table tennis and water polo events for the 2015 Pan American Games, held in nearby Toronto in July and August, 2015. The venue also hosted the table tennis competition in the 2015 Parapan American Games. During the Pan Am and Parapan American Games the venue was known as the Atos Markham Pan Am / Parapan American Centre. After the 2015 Pan Am Games, the facility continues to be used as a community and competition centre for aquatics, badminton, volleyball, basketball and table tennis for Markham-area residents.

Bill Crothers Secondary School is an athletic based high school in the community of Unionville in Markham, Ontario, Canada. It was the newest secondary school in the York Region District School Board for a number of years, since 2008. Named for the former Olympic athlete and Chair of the York Region District School Board, Bill Crothers, the school opened its doors to Grade 9 and 10 students in August 2008. The school is 32 acres (130,000 m2) and cost an estimated $32 million to build. The school was formerly an 18-hole golf course, Unionville Golf Centre, opened in 1961.

Unionville is a suburban district and former village in Markham, Ontario, Canada, 2 km (2.5 mi) west of Markham Village (the City of Markham's historic downtown), and 33 km (20.5 mi) northeast of Downtown Toronto. The boundaries of Unionville are not well-defined. The village itself still resembles the small town that developed over a century or so starting in the early 1840s (when Ira White erected his Union Mills) through the middle to late 20th century. Now a 'heritage conservation district', it attracts thousands of visitors each year — as of 2006 it boasted nine restaurants, including three pubs. Main Street (originally the laneway from the village's first grist mill) also has a number of "century homes" dating back to the 19th century. Each year, thousands of people visit Unionville during the Unionville Festival.The main street has been a stand-in for fictional Connecticut town Stars Hollow during the first season of Gilmore Girls television show, and for other television and movie backdrops. Main Street Unionville is a collector route that runs through the historical suburban community of Unionville, in Markham, Ontario, Canada. Like most other Main Streets, the street serves as an important road for local tourism development. All along the road, the street has structures that are virtually unchanged from its founding in 1794. Renowned for its pubs, parks, restaurants, and its historical European view, the road also hosts the annual Unionville Festival, which draws several thousand visitors to the neighbourhood.

Unionville GO Station is a train and bus station in the GO Transit network located in Markham, Ontario, Canada. It is a stop on the Stouffville line. The station is also served by Highway 407 East Express buses, which run westbound to Highway 407 station, northbound to Mount Joy GO Station, and eastbound to the Oshawa GO station. By late May 2022, the station had acquired a second track, a turnaround track and an island platform to support future all-day, two-way service on the Stouffville line. In the future, GO trains will run every 10 minutes to Unionville and every 30 minutes to Mount Joy GO Station.

CF Markville, also known as Markville Shopping Centre in the Cadillac Fairview chain of malls, is a shopping mall of over 140 stores in Markham, Ontario, Canada. It is located at the intersection of Highway 7 East and McCowan Road, and runs along Bullock Drive, located slightly west of McCowan Road. Its anchors are Hudson's Bay, Winners, Walmart Supercentre, Decathlon, Sporting Life, Marshalls, Uniqlo, Best Buy, and a Toys "R" Us/Babies "R" Us combo store. It has a gross leasable area of 981,000 square feet (91,100 m2). It was the largest shopping mall in York Region until 2004 when Vaughan Mills opened.

Milliken Mills High School is a high school in the city of Markham, Ontario, Canada. Milliken Mills High School is one out of the 33 high schools in the York Region District School Board and is situated in ward 8 of Markham, Ontario. The high school is located on the border of the Milliken Mills West and the Milliken Mills East neighbourhoods and is located next to Milliken Mills Community Center. Its service boundary area stretches north from Steeles Avenue, west to Warden Avenue, south from the 14th Avenue, and east to McCowan Road. Milliken Mills High School is a multicultural school at the level of both students and staff with over 30 cultural groups.As of June 2013, the school is equipped with over 300 computer workstations.
