Saint Colm's GAC Drum (Irish: CLG Naomh Colm An Droim) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the rural area of Drum and Gortnahey, near Dungiven, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. The club is a member of Derry GAA. Drum fields Gaelic football teams at U8, U10, U12, U14 and Senior levels. They currently compete in the Derry Junior Football Championship and Division 2 of the Derry ACFL. The U16 and Minor teams are amalgamated with Drumsurn and play as St Patrick's.Drum has won the Derry Junior Football Championship seven times. Underage teams up to U-12s play in North Derry league and championships, from U-13 upwards teams compete in All-Derry competitions. The club also has a number of camogie sides at various age groups. Drum won the 2003 Derry Intermediate Hurling Championship but no longer competes in hurling.

East Londonderry is a constituency in Northern Ireland represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament. Its current Member of Parliament (MP) has been Gregory Campbell of the DUP since 2001.

Derrynaflaw (likely from Irish Doire na Flatha, meaning 'the oakgrove of the chief'), also known as Dernaflaw, is a small village and townland in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. It is about 2 kilometres west of Dungiven on the Foreglen Road. It is designated as a Hamlet and in the 2001 Census it had a population of 168 people. It lies within Causeway Coast and Glens district.

Owenbeg Derry GAA Centre is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) stadium in Owenbeg, Dungiven, Northern Ireland. With a capacity of about 7,200, the ground is the secondary home of Derry's hurling and Gaelic football teams, as well as being the main training complex for the county. The main stand is all-seated, and has a capacity of 2,700. As well as staging inter-county matches, it is often used to host Derry football and hurling games at club level.

East Londonderry is a constituency in the Northern Ireland Assembly. The seat was first used for a Northern Ireland-only election for the Northern Ireland Forum in 1996. Since 1998, it has elected members to the current Assembly. For Assembly elections prior to 1996, the constituency was largely part of the Londonderry constituency with a small part around Portrush coming from North Antrim constituency. Since 1997, it has usually shared boundaries with the East Londonderry UK Parliament constituency, with the exception of from 2010 to 2011, and from 2024 to 2027. Londonderry was a county constituency of the Parliament of Northern Ireland from 1921 to 1929. It returned five MPs, using proportional representation by means of the single transferable vote. It was abolished in 1929 when proportional representation was replaced with first past the post and split into five separate constituencies as a result.

Londonderry was a constituency used for the Northern Ireland Assembly. The seat was first used for a Northern Ireland-only election for the Northern Ireland Assembly, 1973. Members were then elected from the constituency to the 1975 Constitutional Convention and the 1982 Assembly. After the Assembly dissolved in 1986, the constituency was not used again, its area being represented by parts of East Londonderry, Foyle and Mid Ulster. It usually shared boundaries with the Londonderry UK Parliament constituency, however the boundaries of the two constituencies were slightly different from 1983 to 1986 as the Assembly boundaries had not caught up with Parliamentary boundary changes. The Limavady Railway was a railway line that branched off from the Belfast–Derry line at Limavady Junction near Ballykelly to Limavady. The line was later extended a further 7 miles to Dungiven. The Limavady to Dungiven section of the line was closed on 3 July 1950. The initial branch was opened on 29 December 1852 by the Londonderry and Coleraine Railway and was extended to its final terminus, Dungiven, on 4 July 1883; the extension was closed for passenger traffic on 1 January 1933 and finally closed altogether on 3 July 1950, with the rest of the line losing its passenger service the same day. The Limavady section, having already lost its passenger service, was closed entirely on 2 May 1955. Although the line was removed, remnants of the line can be found around Limavady, usually in the form of bridges, including the old railway bridge outside Limavady on the Seacoast Road. An All-Island Strategic Rail Review published jointly by the Irish and Northern Irish governments in 2023 recommended reopening the line to Limavady, although it has yet to be implemented as of 2024.
