Drew University is a private university in Madison, New Jersey. Drew has been nicknamed the "University in the Forest" because of its wooded 186-acre (75 ha) campus. As of fall 2020, more than 2,200 students were pursuing degrees at the university's three schools.In 1867, financier and railroad tycoon Daniel Drew purchased an estate in Madison to establish a theological seminary to train candidates for Methodist ministry. The seminary later expanded to offer an undergraduate liberal arts curriculum in 1928 and graduate studies in 1955. The College of Liberal Arts, serving more than 1,600 undergraduate students, offers strong concentrations in the natural sciences, social sciences, languages and literatures, humanities and the arts, and in several interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary fields. The Drew Theological School, the third-oldest of thirteen Methodist seminaries affiliated with the United Methodist Church, currently enrolls more than 350 students preparing for careers in the ministry and the academic study of theology.The Caspersen School of Graduate Studies, enrolling more than 250 graduate students, offers master's and doctoral degrees in a variety of specialized and interdisciplinary fields.While affiliated with the Methodist faith, Drew University does not impose any religious requirements on its students. While many students and faculty in the Theological School are Methodists, students of all faiths are welcome to enroll in any program offered by the university. On campus, the United Methodist Church's General Commission on Archives and History is located, maintaining an archive of Methodist records and artifacts from the 19th century to the present.

Giralda Farms was the estate of Geraldine Rockefeller Dodge in Madison, New Jersey. She would hold dog shows at the property. After her death it was converted into a corporate park containing the headquarters for Quest Diagnostics, and other corporations.

Located in Madison, New Jersey, it is the state's largest theatre company dedicated to the works of Shakespeare and other classic masterworks, including rarely produced epics.Under the leadership of artistic director Bonnie J. Monte since 1990, The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey is also one of the longest-running Shakespeare theatres on the east coast, and is listed as a Major Festival in the book Shakespeare Festivals Around the World by Marcus D. It is located on the St. Elizabeth University campus in nearby Florham Park, New Jersey. Financial support comes from more than 1,500 individuals, government agencies, corporations and foundations.

Gibbons Mansion, currently known as Mead Hall, is a historical mansion on Drew University campus in Madison, Morris County, New Jersey, United States. It houses the university's administrative offices today.

Chatham Day School is an independent coeducational day school located in Chatham Township, New Jersey, United States, serving students in preschool through grade eight. Chatham Day School opened its doors in 1998, and is small by design. Class sizes are maintained at a maximum of 14 per class with a 4:1 student teacher ratio. As of the 2014–15 school year, the school had an enrollment of 172 students in grades K-8.The Chatham Day School is a member of NAIS, and is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and the New Jersey Association of Independent Schools.

Saint Vincent Martyr School (SVMS), the oldest Catholic elementary school (established in 1848) in New Jersey, is the coeducational parish school for Saint Vincent Martyr parish in Madison borough, Morris County, New Jersey, United States. SVMS educates approximately 400 students in grades PK-3 through Eighth Grade. The school is named for Vincent of Saragossa. The school nickname is the Eagles. The school and parish are in the Southeastern Morris Deanery of the Diocese of Paterson of the Province of Newark of the Latin Church of the Catholic Church. SVMS was one of three elementary schools in New Jersey, and the only non-public school, recognized by the national Blue Ribbon Schools Program, awarded by the United States Department of Education, for the 2005-06 school year. It is fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

Methodist Episcopal Church, currently known as the United Methodist Church in Madison, is a historic church at 24 Madison Avenue in Madison, Morris County, New Jersey, United States. United Methodist Church in Madison is following the belief of Methodism, which is originated from Church of England. Their mission statement:"Inspired by the life and teachings of Jesus, we welcome all to be nourished for life's journey through worship, community, and service". Although the congregation was formed in 1843, the current Romanesque architecture was built in 1870 by Stephen Decatur Hatch. It was added to the National Register in 2008.History: After several relocations around Madison, property was given to the Methodists by Daniel Drew located next to the Drew University Campus in 1867. This would become the new location of the church and parsonage. Later the church was dedicated in 1871. In the following years, the church was remodeled and a chapel was added in 1890.Architecture: Methodist Episcopal church's wall is decorated with stained glass, an ornament used in western buildings for generating radiant lights due to light reflection. Although the congregation was formed in 1843, the current Romanesque architecture was built in 1870 by Stephen Decatur Hatch. It was added to the National Register in 2008. Inside of the Church: Pipe Organ, a keyboard instrument of one or more pipe divisions or other means for producing tones. Activities Around the Church: The famous Madison Farmer Market, sponsored by the Madison Urban Development Commission, sells fresh produce each year. And Madison May Day is a labor Day dedicated to the city.

The Madison Civic Commercial District is a 49-acre (20 ha) area of downtown Madison, Morris County, New Jersey, United States. It includes 450 buildings and one structure in an area roughly bounded by Main Street (NJ 124), Kings Road, Green Avenue, Waverly Place, Lincoln Place and Prospect Street. It had been the historic core of Madison starting in the late 19th century. In 1930 its most significant property, the Hartley Dodge Memorial Building that currently serves as Madison's borough hall, was donated by local landowner Geraldine Rockefeller Dodge in memory of her son Marcellus, who had died at age 22. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

Madison station is a NJ Transit station in Madison, New Jersey. It is located on the Morristown Line. In 1984, the station was listed in the New Jersey Register of Historic Places and National Register of Historic Places as part of the Operating Passenger Railroad Stations Thematic Resource.The station was built in 1916 after the local government passed an ordinance for $159,000 (equivalent to $2,760,000 in 2021) with the cooperation of the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad in the planning of the depot. Much of the road grading caused by the track elevation was funded by private contributions.
