The Florence Township School District is a comprehensive community public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade from Florence Township, in Burlington County, New Jersey, United States.As of the 2018–19 school year, the district, comprising three schools, had an enrollment of 1,581 students and 128.1 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.3:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "DE", the fifth-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.

As of the 2010 Census, the Florence-Roebling CDP was split into its components, Roebling (with a population of 3,715) and Florence. As of the 2010 Census, the population of the Florence CDP was 4,426.

As of the 2000 Census, the CDP's population was 8,200. With the 2010 United States census, the CDP was split into its components, with the creation of separate CDPs for Florence CDP (with a 2010 Census population of 4,426) and Roebling (3,715).

Florence Township Memorial High School is a comprehensive community public high school that serves students in ninth through twelfth grades from Florence Township, in Burlington County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, operating as the lone secondary school of the Florence Township School District. As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 515 students and 36.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 14.3:1. There were 74 students (14.4% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 17 (3.3% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

WIFI (1460 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Florence, New Jersey, and serving the Delaware Valley. It is owned by Ritmo Broadcasting, headed by Miguel Amador, and it airs a Spanish CHR format. Its studios are on Broad Street in Trenton, New Jersey. By day, WIFI is powered at 5,000 watts, and at night, it reduces power to 500 watts to protect other stations on 1460 AM. It uses a directional antenna at all times, from its transmitter facility on Burlington-Columbus Road in Burlington. Programming is also heard on two FM translators; W225DJ at 92.9 MHz in Burlington and W281CL at 104.1 in Cherry Hill. It uses the Burlington translator's dial position in its moniker, "Jamz 92.9."

Florence Township is a township in Burlington County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 12,812, an increase of 703 (+5.8%) from the 2010 census count of 12,109, which in turn reflected an increase of 1,363 (+12.7%) from the 10,746 counted in the 2000 census. The township, and all of Burlington County, is a part of the Philadelphia-Reading-Camden combined statistical area and the Delaware Valley.Florence was incorporated as a township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 7, 1872, from portions of Mansfield Township. The township was named for Florence, Italy.

Life Center Academy is a private school located in Burlington in Burlington County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The school is associated with the Fountain of Life Center, an Assemblies of God church. The Headmaster is Matthew Boudwin, who also serves as a pastor of the church. Providence Presbyterian Church of Bustleton is an historic church in the Bustleton section of Florence Township, Burlington County, New Jersey, United States. It was built in 1863 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The Delaware River–Turnpike Toll Bridge is a four-lane, steel through arch bridge crossing the Delaware River between Burlington Township, Burlington County, New Jersey and Bristol Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. As a part of Interstate 95 (I-95), it is a major highway link between Philadelphia and New York City. The bridge also connects the Pennsylvania Turnpike's east-west mainline with the main trunk of the New Jersey Turnpike, via the Pearl Harbor Memorial Turnpike Extension (formerly known as the Pennsylvania Extension). Tolls are collected only in the west/southbound direction via electronic toll collection.

The Merchant Shipbuilding Corporation (abbreviated MSC) was an American corporation established in 1917 by railroad heir W. Averell Harriman to build merchant ships for the Allied war effort in World War I. The MSC operated two shipyards: the former shipyard of John Roach & Sons at Chester, Pennsylvania, and a second, newly established emergency yard at Bristol, Pennsylvania, operated by the MSC on behalf of the U.S. Shipping Board's Emergency Fleet Corporation (EFC). MSC completed only four ships before the war's end. However, both the U.S. Shipping Board and Harriman himself anticipated a shipbuilding boom in the postwar period, and consequently MSC continued to work on its wartime contracts, eventually building some 81 ships, including not only the USSB vessels but also four minesweepers for the U.S. Navy, a number of oil tankers for private companies, and four passenger liners Harriman built for his own shipping lines. Both Harriman and the USSB were completely incorrect in their anticipation of a postwar shipbuilding boom, and by the early 1920s there was such an excess of shipping around the world that over 1,000 ships were laid up in ports in the United States. With no market for its services, Harriman wound up the Merchant Shipbuilding Corporation in 1923.
