Baltimore Independence School

Academy for College and Career Exploration (ACCE) is a public secondary school located in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. The school opened in the city in fall 2004 under the guidance of being an "innovation" school by Johns Hopkins researchers. Another school created with the same guidelines of being a "innovation" school, Baltimore Talent Development also opened around the same time. ACCE is now converted into a "transformation" middle/high school with grades 6-7/9-12 for the 2011–2012 school year.

Grace-Hampden Methodist Episcopal Church is a historic Methodist Episcopal church located at Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is a large stone building constructed in 1899. The Romanesque Revival-style church features multiple gables and a square bell tower and masonry construction utilizing local granite with round-arched openings and decorative sill and lintel courses. It was the first ecclesiastical commission of local architect George Clifton Haskell.Grace-Hampden Methodist Episcopal Church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

Evergreen on the Falls, also known as the Snyder-Carroll House, is an historic 19th century home overlooking the Jones Falls valley and located at Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is a 2+1⁄2-story, brick mansion in a rural version of the Victorian Italianate style. A serious fire in the early 1970s destroyed the furnishings and most of the interior. It was built about 1860 and was the home of the supervisor of the Mount Vernon Mills, Albert H. Carroll. It is headquarters of the Maryland Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.Evergreen on the Falls was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

Hampden is a neighborhood located in northern Baltimore, Maryland, United States. Roughly triangular in shape, it is bounded to the east by the neighborhood Wyman Park, to the north by Roland Park at 40th and 41st Street, to the west by the Jones Falls Expressway, and to the south by the neighborhood Remington. The Homewood campus of the Johns Hopkins University is a short distance to the east.

Londontown Manufacturing Company, Inc., also known as Meadow Mill, is a historic cotton mill complex located at Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is a three-story, Italianate brick structure that features a square tower structure with a truncated spire-like roof having an open bell cupola. It was erected in 1877 as one of five mills which comprised the Woodberry Manufacturing Company. It was intended for the manufacture of seine twines. It was home to London Fog, prior to its move to Eldersburg, Maryland. Londontown Manufacturing Company, Inc. was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Woodberry station is a Baltimore Light Rail station in the Woodberry neighborhood of Baltimore, Maryland, United States. The station has two side platforms serving two tracks. The station is near the former site of the Woodberry station of the Northern Central Railway, an affiliate of the Pennsylvania Railroad.

Brick Hill is a national historic district in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is a small, isolated enclave neighborhood of 2- and 2+1⁄2-story masonry duplexes constructed about 1877 to house workers in the nearby Meadow Mill of the Woodberry Manufacturing Company. All but one of the eleven duplexes are constructed of brick, hence the four-acre enclave's traditional name; the other dwelling is built of stone. Two small two-story frame houses are also included in the district.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The Rotunda is a mixed-use property in northern Baltimore, Maryland in the popular neighborhood of Hampden, adjacent to the neighborhoods of Roland Park, and Wyman Park and near the campus of the Johns Hopkins University. The property features retail, office, and residential components including: 150,000 ft² of retail space, 140,000 ft² of office space, 379 apartments and over 1100 off-street parking spaces, including a multi-level parking garage featuring several electric car charging stations.

In Baltimore, Maryland, Miracle on 34th Street is a display of holiday lights that takes place annually on the 700 block of 34th Street (between Chestnut Avenue and Keswick Road in Baltimore's Hampden community. The display, which involves the residents of most of the houses on the block (with three-story rowhouses on the north side of the street and two-story ones with second-floor bay windows on the south side), started in 1947 (the same year that its namesake movie debuted), and takes place between late November and late December. The location becomes a major attraction for visitors from all over the area.The display prominently features Christmas trees of varying styles, trains, animated figures, Walt Disney cartoon characters, Hanukkah menorahs, artwork, and other various symbols of the holiday season, including a sea of Santas and Frosty the Snowmans.

The community of Wyman Park is a border community that links Hampden to Roland Park. All of the Wyman Park areas were annexed to Baltimore City in 1888. The general boundaries consist of the area from south to north between 33rd Street and 40th Streets and west to east from Keswick Road to Wyman Park, which includes the southern portion of the Stony Run Trail. South of 40th Street, garden apartments, multi-story apartment buildings, and single-family residences have been built. People here tend to relate to the north along 40th Street and University Parkway and Johns Hopkins University. Throughout the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, this land remained attached to large rural estates, and the only settlement of note occurred in the adjacent Stony Run valley. Here, along the stream's west bank, two flour mills once operated. It is believed that one mill, Ensor's, was located opposite 36th Street. In the 1870s, the Swan Lake Narrow Gauge Railroad (later called the Baltimore and Lehigh Railroad, and in 1901, the Maryland and Pennsylvania Railroad) was built along Stony Run. In the last quarter of the nineteenth century, a popular tavern, known as Biddy Rice's Saloon, operated along the tracks opposite Bottle Hill, upon which sits the present-day Tudor Arms Apartments. Most construction took place in the 1920s and continued into the 1960s with several small garden apartments. In addition, Keswick Nursing Home north of 40th Street has expanded, while next door Roland Park Place has replaced the Roland Park Country School. To the east Johns Hopkins University has slowly expanded into Wyman Park, and some of the open space has disappeared.

Poole and Hunt Company Buildings refers to a complex of buildings that once housed an ironworks— consisting of a foundry, machine shop, blacksmith shop, erecting shop, and other structures, which were located in the Woodberry section of northwest Baltimore, Maryland, United States. The buildings, made chiefly of brick and fieldstone, occupied portions of a 20-acre (81,000 m2 ) site. They were constructed beginning in 1853 and enlarged periodically as the business of manufacturing iron-based parts and machinery expanded. [Poole and Hunt refers to the partners Robert Poole (1818-1903) and German H. Hunt (1828-1907).] In 1973, although the buildings had been converted to other uses, they remained intact and that year were added to the National Register of Historic Places. In 1995, a major fire destroyed the machine shop, damaged parts of other buildings, and stopped further activity in the balance of the site. After 2000, real estate developers purchased the former industrial site and converted the buildings into commercial and residential uses. The complex is now known as Clipper Mill.
