New York City Lab School for Collaborative Studies

The New York City Museum School (NYCMS) is a public school for grades 9–12 on West 17th Street in Chelsea, Manhattan, New York City, United States. It shares a building with the New York City Lab School for Collaborative Studies.The school's curriculum requires weekly visits to museums all over New York City, where an NYCMS teacher conducts class in conjunction with Museum staff, and it has been a model for similar programs in other cities. These visits supplement conventional classes held inside the school. NYCMS provides education to a heterogeneous group of students from a diverse community.The museum opened in September 1994 as a fully accredited school and was co-founded by Sonnet Takahisa, staff member at the Brooklyn Museum with whom the school partnered. The Children's Museum of Manhattan was also among its founding partners.

The LA Dream Center, under the leadership of Pastor Matthew Barnett, planted the New York Dream Center in the summer of 2008. Pastor Brad Reed and his wife, Stella, were both part of the LA Dream Center's leadership for over ten years before they moved their family to New York City to become the lead pastors of the New York Dream Center. The Dream Center provides hope by meeting both the tangible and spiritual needs of those in New York City communities. They are a church in New York City. They meet Sunday mornings in Chelsea, Manhattan at the New York City Lab School for Collaborative Studies, and throughout the week all over the city serving communities and meeting the needs of the people around them. The mission of the New York Dream Center is to walk alongside people right where they are, to where God dreams for them to be.

Callen-Lorde Community Health Center is a primary care center located at 356 West 18th Street in New York City, New York. Callen-Lorde also provides comprehensive mental health services at The Thea Spyer Center, located at 230 West 17th Street. Callen-Lorde is dedicated to providing medical health care to the city's LGBTQ population without regard to ability to pay. It is named in honor of Michael Callen and Audre Lorde. The facility offers a variety of services, including dental care, HIV/STD testing and treatment, mental health services, women's health services, transgender hormone therapy, and medical case management support. Callen-Lorde is also home to the Health Outreach to Teens (HOTT) program, which serves youth between the ages of 13 and 22 in an on-premises clinic and a fully equipped medical van. Callen-Lorde is the only primary care center in New York City created specifically to serve LGBTQ communities. Callen-Lorde's grassroots heritage dates back nearly 50 years to the St. Mark's Community Clinic and the Gay Men's Health Project, two volunteer-based clinics that provided screening and treatment for sexually-transmitted diseases. These clinics merged in 1983 to form Community Health Project, a mostly volunteer-staffed, episodic care program housing the nation's first community-based HIV clinic. The center has grown both in size and scope since these early days: from a 2,500 square-foot space inside of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center on West 13th Street that primarily worked with HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases, into a comprehensive primary care center housed in more than 3 locations, including the 6-floor, 27,000 square-foot 18th Street facility that it moved into in 1997.In 2007, it was among over 530 New York City arts and social service institutions to receive part of a $30 million grant from the Carnegie Corporation, which was made possible through a donation by New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg.In 2015, during National Health Center Week, Callen-Lorde was one of 266 health centers selected for Affordable Care Act funding as a Federally Qualified Health Center, for providing primary care to a medically underserved population. In a proclamation announcing these awards, President Obama declared, "This week, as we recognize the 50-year anniversary of the first community health centers being established in America, let us remember that health care is not a privilege for the few among us who can afford it, but a right for all Americans -- and let us recognize the vital role health centers across our country play in carrying us toward greater health for our people."

Humanities Preparatory Academy (also known as Humanities Prep) is an American public high school, located in the Chelsea district of Manhattan, New York City. The school sends over 99% of its students to four-year universities and private schools. Founded as a program in Bayard Rustin High School, it became a school in 1997. Humanities Prep is part of a consortium of over 30 schools that have been exempted from taking all but the English Regents Examinations. Housed on the third floor of the Bayard Rustin Educational Complex, Humanities Prep offers very few places, and admissions to the school are very competitive. The school has a current enrollment of 209.

The Bayard Rustin Educational Complex – also known as the Humanities Educational Complex – at West 18th Street between Eighth and Ninth Avenues in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City, is a "vertical campus" of the New York City Department of Education which contains a number of small public schools, most of them high schools — grades 9 through 12 – along with one combined middle and high school – grades 6 through 12. The building formerly housed Bayard Rustin High School for the Humanities (M440), a comprehensive school which graduated its last class in the 2011-2012 school year.

111 Eighth Avenue, also known as the Google Building, is a full-block Art Deco multi-use building located between Eighth and Ninth Avenues, and 15th and 16th Streets in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. At 2.9 million square feet (270,000 m2), it is the city's fourth largest building in terms of floor area as of 2014. It was the largest building until 1963, when the 3.14-million-square-foot (292,000 m2) MetLife Building opened. The World Trade Center, which opened in 1970–71, and 55 Water Street, which opened in 1972, were also larger, but the World Trade Center was destroyed in 2001. When the 3.5-million-square-foot (330,000 m2) One World Trade Center opened in 2014, 111 became the city's fourth largest building. The building, which has been owned by Google since 2010, is one of the largest technology-owned office buildings in the world. It is larger than Apple Park, Apple's 2.8 million square feet (260,000 m2) headquarters in Cupertino, California.

The Maritime Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel located at 363 West 16th Street at Ninth Avenue in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City, close to the Meatpacking District. It has 121 rooms and 5 suites, all decorated in a nautical theme, in line with the building's maritime history, and the porthole-inspired facade.

La Sirena was an Italian restaurant in New York City.

Chelsea Place was a restaurant at 147 Eighth Avenue in New York City's Chelsea district, founded in 1974 and operational until 1992. It was unusual in that the restaurant was hidden in the back of an antique shop. In the back of the store was what appeared to be a large wardrobe with mullioned mirrored doors. Opening the doors, however, revealed a piano bar area. Passing through the bar, an unadorned door opened onto a staircase which led down to a basement seating area. This area contained several dining rooms surrounding a glass-enclosed garden which gave an atrium-like feel, having several windows placed along a wall near the top. The garden included such eclectic furnishings as a totem pole and a pond with ducks. Total seating capacity was around 100. The food was Northern Italian. Joan and GianCarlo Santini, owners of the antique store, opened the restaurant in 1974.Later in its existence, the restaurant became a jazz music venue. Chelsea Place closed in 1992.

The Robert Fulton Houses is a housing project located in the Chelsea neighborhood in the New York City Borough of Manhattan and is owned and operated by the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA). The 6.27-acre (2.54 ha) site is located between West 16th and 19th Streets and bounded by Ninth and Tenth Avenues. The project consists of 945 apartments in eleven buildings; three of the developments are 25 stories, while the others are 6 stories high.
