Haseki Sultan Complex

The Forum of Arcadius (Latin: Forum Arcadii, Greek: Φόρος τοῦ Ἀρκαδίου), was built by the Emperor Arcadius in the city of Constantinople, now Istanbul. Built in 403, it was built in the Xerolophos area and was the last forum before reaching the Constantinian city walls and the Golden Gate in a line of forums, including the Forum of Theodosius, the Forum of Constantine, the Forum Bovis, and the Forum Amastrianum, built westward from the city center along the Mese.The forum was later converted to a bazaar by the Ottomans, referred to as the Avrat Pazarı or "Women's Bazaar", which was mistaken with the Slave Market at Tavukpazari near Nur-u Osmaniye used for the auctioning of female slaves, otherwise known as 'Cariye', which technically during the period had a completely different social status than regular slaves. This practice was abolished in 1847 during Reshid Pasha's time possibly due to the British influence Slavery Abolition Act 1833. The Column of Arcadius, located in the center of the forum, was decorated with spiral bands of sculpture in bas relief representing the triumphs of the emperor, like Trajan's Column in Rome. At the top of the column, which was more than 50m high, there was an enormous Corinthian capital surmounted by an equestrian statue of Arcadius, placed there in 421 by his son, Theodosius II. This statue was eventually toppled from the column and destroyed during an earthquake in 704. The column itself remained standing for another thousand years until it was deliberately demolished in 1715, when it appeared to be in imminent danger of collapsing on the neighboring houses. Now all that remains are the mutilated base and some fragments of sculpture from the column which are on display in the Istanbul Archaeological Museum.

The column of Arcadius (Turkish: Arkadyos Sütunu or Avrat Taşı) was a Roman triumphal column in the forum of Arcadius in Constantinople built in the early 5th century AD. The marble column was historiated with a spiralling frieze of reliefs on its shaft and supported a colossal statue of the emperor, probably made of bronze, which fell down in 740. Its summit was accessible by an internal spiral staircase. Only its massive masonry base survives. It is known as the Avret Taş in Turkish and located on Haseki Kadın Sokak in the Fatih district of Istanbul. It is now mostly surrounded by modern buildings.

The Bulgur Palas, originally known as the Bolulu Habip Bey Mansion, is a 1912-built historical mansion located in Istanbul in Turkey. After its acquisition by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in 2021, it was restored and redeveloped into a library and cultural center for public use.

Ese Kapi Mosque (Turkish: Ese Kapı Mescidi or Hadim Ibrahim Pasha Mescidi, where mescit is the Turkish word for a small mosque), also "Isa Kapi Mosque", meaning in English "Mosque of the Gate of Jesus", is an Ottoman mosque in Istanbul, Turkey. The building was originally a Byzantine Eastern Orthodox church of unknown dedication.

Mollagürani (also: Molla Gürani) is one of the 57 neighbourhoods of the municipality and district of Fatih, Istanbul Province in Turkey. Its population is 12,211 (2022). It is on the European side of Istanbul. Mollagürani is named after a cleric, a teacher, the fourth Sheikh al-Islam of the Ottoman Empire and one of the teachers of Fatih Sultan Mehmed - Molla Gürani. It has access to T1 Kabatas-Bagcilar Tram Line at the Yusufpaşa Tramway Station

Cerrapaşa railway station (Turkish: Cerrapaşa istasyonu) is a railway station on the Istanbul-Pythion railway in Istanbul, Turkey. Opened together with the T6 shuttle line from Kazlıçeşme to Sirkeci on 26 February 2024, Cerrapaşa is the most recently opened railway station in Istanbul. Built on the originally double-track right-of-way, the station has one side platform with one track. The pedestrian path just south of the track was the former right-of-way of the second track, which closed down in 2013.

Fenâri Îsâ Mosque (full name in Turkish: Molla Fenâri Îsâ Câmîi), in Byzantine times known as the Lips Monastery (Greek: Μονὴ τοῦ Λιβός), is a mosque in Istanbul, made of two former Eastern Orthodox churches.

Hekimoğlu Ali Pasha Mosque is a mosque in the Fatih district of Istanbul, Turkey. It was commissioned by Hekimoğlu Ali Pasha, who was born in Istanbul in 1689, and completed in 1734–1735. It is considered as the last work of classical Ottoman architecture together with its külliye (charitable religious complex). The architects of mosque are Çuhadar Ömer Ağa and Hacı Mustafa Ağa.

The Cistern of Mocius (Greek: κινστέρνη τοῦ Μωκίου), known in Turkish as Altımermer Çukurbostanı ("sunken garden of Altımermer"), was the largest Byzantine open-sky water reservoir built in the city of Constantinople.

Altımermer (originally Exi Mármara) is a quarter located in the European part of Istanbul, Turkey. It is located in the western part of the district of Fatih (the walled city). Although it is difficult to define exactly its boundary, Altımermer lies between the neighborhoods (mahalleler) of Kocamustafapaşa and Seyyid Ömer. The main axis of the quarter, Altımermer Caddesi, stretches between the neighborhoods of Kocamustafapaşa and Sayyidina Umar. The name of the quarter, "six marbles" in English, comes from the broken fragments of a fallen Byzantine column which during the Ottoman period were supposed to have magic properties. In this quarter was built between the 5th and the 6th century the Cistern of Mocius, the largest water reservoir in Constantinople, known since the Ottoman period as the Altımermer Çukurbostanı ("the sunken garden of Altımermer", since it was used as vegetable garden), and now turned into the education park of Fatih.

The Murat Paşa Mosque (Turkish: Murat Paşa Camii) is a 15th century Ottoman mosque squeezed in between two busy roads linking Aksaray and Yusufpaşa in the Fatih district of Istanbul, Turkey.

Aksaray is a rapid transit station on the M1 line of the Istanbul Metro. It is located in central Fatih under Adnan Menderes Boulevard near Aksaray square. Aksaray was opened on 3 September 1989 as part of the first rapid transit line in Istanbul and Turkey. Between 1989 and 2014, Aksaray was the eastern terminus of the M1. On 9 November 2014, the M1 was extended 0.8 kilometres (0.50 mi) south to Yenikapı Transfer Center where connections to the M1 line and Marmaray as well as İDO seabus service are available. From Aksaray connection to the T1 tram line is available via a short walk to Yusufpaşa station. Connections to İETT bus service are also available.
