Gwangjang Market

Bangsan-dong is a legal dong, or neighbourhood of the Jung-gu district in Seoul, South Korea and governed by its administrative dong, Euljiro 3, 4, 5ga-dong.

Woo Lae Oak (Korean: 우래옥; Hanja: 又來屋; RR: Uraeok; lit. place to come back to) is a historic Pyongyang naengmyeon restaurant in Jung District, Seoul, South Korea. It is the oldest active Pyongyang naengmyeon restaurant in Seoul. The restaurant is listed on the Michelin Guide as a Bib Gourmand restaurant. The restaurant had a predecessor called Myeongwolgwan (명월관) in Pyongyang, North Korea. That restaurant's owner, Jang Won-il (장원일), moved to Seoul and opened Seobukgwan (서북관) in 1946 on the street Euljiro. During the Korean War, he fled for safety, and returned and changed the restaurant's name to Woo Lae Oak. By 2024, Jang's twin granddaughters were running the business. The restaurant reportedly has a reputation of being pricy, especially for naengmyeon, but popular and among the finest naengmyeon offered in Seoul. It reportedly has a longtime loyal fanbase that consistently visits. The restaurant had other branches in Daechi-dong and in Washington, D.C. in the United States, but both those branches were closed by 2024. It also had a Beverly Hills, California location that opened in 1993 but closed in 2012, as well as a SoHo, Manhattan branch that closed in 2011. In 2017, a rebranded Woo Lae Oak entitled The Woo was opened in SoHo, Manhattan.

Bangsan Market is a traditional market located in the Jugyo-dong neighborhood of Jung-gu, Seoul, South Korea. The market is famous for its pressed wrapping paper and includes more than 550 stores. The name of the market comes from the location's former condition during the Joseon Dynasty. At that time the area was not well maintained, and therefore became infamous for its bad smell. People began calling this place Bangsan, bang being Korean for fragrant.According to the Seoul Metropolitan Government, Bangsan Market has been designated a tourist destination since 2011. The government decided to keep the feel of a natural traditional market rather than modernize it.

Jongno 5(o)-ga Station is a station on the Seoul Subway Line 1. It is located underneath Jongno, a major street in downtown Seoul.

Euljiro 4(sa)-ga Station is a station on the Seoul Subway Line 2 and Seoul Subway Line 5.

Seun Sangga is a shopping area located between Jongno 3-ga and Toegyero 3-ga, Jongno-gu, Seoul. It was built in 1966, in what The Hankyoreh described in an editorial as "a symbol of the indiscriminate redevelopment that occurred during the dictatorship years". In the 1970s, it became known for its pornography vendors; however, in the late 1990s, business declined due to the rise of internet pornography.

Hullyeonwon Park (Korean: 훈련원공원; Hanja: 訓鍊院公園) is a public park in Jung District, Seoul, South Korea. It was established on June 30, 1997, and has an area of 1.67346 ha (4.1352 acres). The park is named for the Hullyeonwon: the Joseon-era government ministry that oversaw military training.

Taishōkan (Japanese: 大正館, Korean: 대정관; RR: Daejeonggwan; MR: Taejŏnggwan) was a movie theater in Keijō (Seoul), Korea, Empire of Japan. It operated between 1912 and 1935. It was located at Sakuraicho 1-chōme (櫻井町1丁目; now 26 Inhyeon-dong 1-ga). In 1914, the building was renamed Dai-ichi Taishōkan (第一大正館) after the building's owner acquired a second building that they named Dai-ni Taishōkan.

Dansungsa, established in 1907, was the first movie theatre in Korea. It is located in Jongno 3-ga, Seoul. Korea Loyal Flight became the theatre's first ever premiere in 1919. Chunsa Na Woon-gyu's Korean folk movie, Arirang, followed, premiering in the theatre in 1926. Chunhyanjeon became the theatre's third premier in 1935.In 1963, the South Korean government declared October 27, the same day when Korea Loyal Flight premiered at Dansungsa, to be the Korea Film Day. The declaration celebrated both the beginning of Korean film industry as well as the fact that Dansungsa, along with Woomikwan and Chosum Movie Theatre, the only theatre showing Korean movies during the colonial rule.It has reopened in 2005 as a modern multiplex with seven screens. Dansungsa is directly accessible from Jongno 3-ga Station of Seoul Subway lines one, three and five.

Jongmyo (Hangul: 종묘; Hanja: 宗廟) is a Confucian shrine dedicated to the perpetuation of memorial services for the deceased kings and queens of the Korean Joseon Dynasty (1392–1897). According to UNESCO, the shrine is the oldest royal Confucian shrine preserved and the ritual ceremonies continue a tradition established in the 14th century. Such shrines existed during the Three Kingdoms of Korea period (57–668), but these have not survived. The Jongmyo Shrine was added to the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1995.Jongmyo is adjacent to Changdeok Palace and Changgyeong Palace in the south. They used to be connected in the Joseon period, but were separated by a road built by Japanese colonists. Currently, there is a construction plan to recover the original structure of the shrine. The main buildings of Jongmyo were constructed in October 1394 when Taejo, founder and first king of Joseon, moved the capital to Hanseong (present-day Seoul). The shrine was destroyed by fire in the Japanese invasions of Korea (1592–1598), then rebuilt in early 1600s.

Euljiro 3(sam)-ga Station is a station on the Seoul Subway Line 2 and Seoul Subway Line 3.

Jongno 3(sam)-ga Station is an underground station on lines 1, 3 and 5 of the Seoul Subway in South Korea. In December 2010 the station is recorded as having the fifth highest WiFi data consumption of all the Seoul Metropolitan Subway stations, following Express Bus Terminal Station, Sadang Station, Dongdaemun Station and Jamsil Station.
