Mason County is a county located in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 Census, the population was 29,052. The county seat is Ludington.Mason County comprises the Ludington, MI Micropolitan Statistical Area.

The Big Sable River is a 52-mile-long (84 km) river in Michigan in the United States. It originates in Lake County in the chain of lakes known as Sauble Lakes and flows across Lake and Mason counties. It is dammed to form Hamlin Lake, and below the dam continues through Ludington State Park to empty into Lake Michigan. It is not navigable for the most part, but the section between Hamlin Lake and Lake Michigan is popular for tubing. It is considered an excellent river for fishing. It appears on maps as both "Big Sable" and "Big Sauble".

The Lake Michigan Beach House at Ludington State Park is a public building located at 8800 West M-116 in Hamlin Township. It is the only Arts and Crafts beachhouse on Lake Michigan, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.

Ludington State Park is a public recreation area located two miles north of Ludington, Michigan, occupying 5,300 acres (2,100 ha) between the shores of Lake Michigan and Hamlin Lake. The state park is crossed by a one-mile stretch of the Big Sable River and is home to the 112-foot-high (34 m) Big Sable Point Lighthouse, which dates from 1876.

Big Sable Point Light is a lighthouse on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is located within Ludington State Park just north of the city of Ludington. First constructed in 1867, it continues to be an active navigational aid.

The Lincoln River is a 7.8-mile-long (12.6 km) river in Mason County, Michigan, in the United States. It is formed by the confluence of its North and South branches 5 miles (8 km) northeast of Ludington and flows westward to Lake Michigan. Part of Lincoln river runs through a small private community called epworth

Epworth Heights is a private summer community located on the Lake Michigan shore north of Ludington, Michigan, in the United States. Founded in 1894 by a group of Methodists as the Epworth League Training Assembly, it continues to operate as a domestic nonprofit corporation under Michigan's Summer Resort and Assembly Associations Act 39 of 1889. It is formally known as The Epworth Assembly, Inc.

Hamlin Township is a civil township of Mason County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 3,711 at the 2020 census, up from 3,408 in 2010.

The Ludington Light is a 57-foot (17 m) tall steel-plated lighthouse in Ludington, Michigan, which lies along the eastern shores of Lake Michigan, at the end of the breakwater on the Pere Marquette Harbor. Given its location on the northern breakwater where the Pere Marquette River meets Lake Michigan, it is sometimes known as the Ludington North Breakwater Light. Underlying the building itself is a prow-like structure, which is designed to break waves.

The Haskelite Building, also known as the Haskell Manufacturing Company Building, is a former factory building located at 801 N. Rowe Street, Ludington, Mason County, Michigan. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 10, 2022. In 2022, the building was refurbished into residential apartments, known as the Lofts on Rowe.

The Ludington United States Coast Guard Station is a Coast Guard facility located at 101 South Lakeshore Drive in Ludington, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010. The building is planned to be used as a maritime museum slated to open in early 2017

The Pere Marquette River is a river in Michigan in the United States. The main stream of this river is 63.9 miles (102.8 km) long, running from Lake County south of Baldwin into the Pere Marquette Lake, and from there into Lake Michigan.This river is named after the French Roman Catholic missionary Jacques Marquette, who explored the Great Lakes and Mississippi River areas during the mid-17th century. He died in the vicinity of the river in spring 1675 on his way from Chicago to the French fort at Mackinaw.
