Waterford Barracks

Waterford City Library, also known as the Central Library, is a public library in Waterford, Ireland. It was the first to be built of Ireland's many Carnegie libraries. The philanthropist Andrew Carnegie, who had previously opened libraries in Scotland and the US, himself laid the foundation stone in 1903.

The Waterford Viking Triangle is part of the cultural and heritage area in Waterford City. It is so called because of the 1000-year-old Viking walls which once surrounded it. The sites within the "triangle" include Reginald's Tower (which contains the Viking Museum) as well as the Medieval Museum and the Bishop's Palace Museum, collectively known as Waterford Museum of Treasures.

The city of Waterford in southeastern Ireland was besieged twice during 1649 and 1650 during the Cromwellian conquest of Ireland. The town was held by Irish Confederate Catholic under General Richard Farrell and English Royalist troops under general Thomas Preston. It was besieged by English Parliamentarians under Oliver Cromwell, Michael Jones and Henry Ireton.

Walsh Park (Irish: Páirc Breathnach) is a GAA stadium in Waterford, Ireland named after Willie Walsh, a well-known referee and long time campaigner for Gaelic games in Waterford. It is one of the two homes of the Waterford Gaelic football and hurling teams, the other being Fraher Field in Dungarvan. The two grounds are rivals for important games, former Waterford hurling manager Davy Fitzgerald saying "There's this endless battle between Walsh Park and Fraher Field, a political battle almost. If one field gets a game, the other has to get the next one. Dungarvan was a nice field, but my personal preference was always Walsh Park, because I felt it had more of the feel of a fortress."Walsh Park is named after Willie Walsh, who refereed many All-Ireland SFC and SHC finals, including the 1916 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final.

Erin's Own GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Waterford City, Ireland. The club enters teams in both GAA codes each year, which includes two adult hurling teams and two adult Gaelic football team in the Waterford County Championships. The club has won the County Senior Hurling Championship a total of 13 times making it the second most successful club in the county. The club has also achieved 8 championships in a row between 1927 and 1935. The current president is Billy Kelly. This is a lifelong position within the club once appointed. It is the oldest club in Waterford City and is third on the Waterford Senior Hurling Championship roll of honour (13 - including one 9 in-a-row).

St Patrick's Catholic Church is a Roman Catholic parish church in Jenkin's Lane in the city of Waterford, Ireland. It is one of the oldest surviving Irish Catholic churches to have been built after the Reformation in Ireland.

Waterford Bus Station serves the city of Waterford in the south-east of Ireland. It is situated on the quay in Waterford. It was opened in 1987 and redeveloped in 2000.There are 16 stands for buses. The station has a shop, travel centre, security offices, toilets and ticket desk and machines. The bus station is used by Bus Éireann for regional services mainly although some city centre services depart form the station. Most city centre buses depart from the Clock Tower bus stop beside the station. At night buses do not stay at the station as it is a very open area and buses go to a depot in the city.

Waterford (Irish: Port Láirge [pˠɔɾˠt̪ˠ ˈl̪ˠaːɾʲ(ə)ɟə]) is a city in County Waterford in the south-east of Ireland. It is located within the province of Munster. The city is situated at the head of Waterford Harbour. It is the oldest and the fifth most populous city in the Republic of Ireland. It is the ninth most populous settlement on the island of Ireland. Waterford City and County Council is the local government authority for the city. According to the 2016 Census, 53,504 people live in the city, with a wider metropolitan population of 82,963. Today, Waterford is known for Waterford Crystal, a legacy of the city's former glassmaking industry. Glass, or crystal, was manufactured in the city from 1783 until early 2009 when the factory there was shut down after the receivership of Waterford Wedgwood plc. The Waterford Crystal visitor centre in the Viking Quarter, under new owners, opened in June 2010, after the intervention of Waterford City Council and Waterford Chamber of Commerce, and resumed production. Waterford is also known for being the starting point of Ryanair's first flight, a 14-seat Embraer Bandeirante turboprop aircraft flying between Waterford and London Gatwick Airport.

The Rice Bridge is the present city-centre bridge in Waterford, Ireland on the north side of the city. It was constructed in stages between 1982 and 1986, with an official opening of the first two lanes in 1984. It is named after Edmund Ignatius Rice (and occasionally also called the Edmund Rice Bridge or Brother Edmund Ignatius Rice Bridge). The Rice Bridge was constructed after the previous bridge was deemed unsafe.

The Waterford Regional Sports Centre (or simply, the RSC) is part of Waterford Corporation's Municipal sporting facilities and home to Waterford F.C. of the League of Ireland. Waterford moved to the newly opened RSC from their former home, Kilcohan Park for the 1993-94 season and have remained there ever since. Included on another site is an 18-hole pitch-and-putt course, an indoor hall, football pitches and tennis courts. The complex also had a Skateboard Park. The RSC comprises two stands. The Cork Road West Stand, opened in May 1996 has capacity of 1,275 seats. The new Kilbarry side East Stand which holds 1,760 opened in May 2008 and brings seating capacity to 3,035. There are future plans to extend the West Stand to bring the overall seated capacity to near 5,000. The RSC also contains a tartan athletics track which runs around the soccer pitch. The record attendance at the RSC was at the FAI Cup Semi-final in April 1997 when a crowd of 8,500 paid in to see Waterford United lose to Shelbourne 2-1. In June 2009 the Ireland under-21 side defeated Spain 2–1 in front of a capacity crowd of 3,400 at the RSC. In September 2009, it hosted the League of Ireland Cup Final as Bohemians beat Waterford United 3-1.In February 2010 Munster A played Nottingham R.F.C. in the British and Irish Cup at the ground.The Republic of Ireland U-23 team played England C in May 2010 in a 2009–11 International Challenge Trophy game.The RSC also hosted UEFA U21 European Championship Qualifiers when the Republic of Ireland played Holland, Russia and Switzerland. These games were televised live by Sky. The Republic of Ireland U21 team also played Spain U21s in a friendly international at this venue. It will host games at the 2019 UEFA European Under-17 Championship.

The Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity is the cathedral church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Waterford and Lismore located in Barronstrand Street, Waterford City, Ireland. The cathedral is the oldest post-Reformation Catholic cathedral in Ireland, pre-dating the Catholic Emancipation Act of 1829 by some 36 years.

Waterford railway station (Plunkett Station, Irish: Phort Láirge Stáisiún Phluincéid) serves the city of Waterford in County Waterford, Ireland. The station is located across Rice Bridge on the north side of the city. There are two bays at the west end of the station. These are platform 5 and 6 respectively. The main platform is quite long and due to a crossover it can be operated as two platforms if necessary. The eastern end is platform 3, the western end being platform 4. A large signal cabin is situated across the running lines. The station area is still currently controlled by semaphore signals.
